WATCH: Free Speech-Loving Brian Rose Cuts Short Interview with Teenagers

Given Brian Rose’s manifesto says that “Freedom of speech is that most fundamental human right, allowing us to engage in open and honest debate to test and prove viewpoints”, Guido was surprised to see the mayoral candidate storm out of a podcast interview with three politically-minded teenagers. Not the strongest of looks…

Appearing on the Politics Relaxed podcast, Brian Rose was asked about hosting the likes of David Icke on his YouTube channel, only to cut it short halfway through and leave the meeting. It didn’t stop there…

The teens now claim that after publishing the interview, YouTube promptly removed it from their platform after it was hit by an unfounded copywriter claim from Rose’s channel London Real, though it’s now available. As 15-year-old host Felix Von der Geest says, “Actions speak louder than words”…

WATCH: London Mayoral Candidate Brian Rose Drinks His Own Urine, Twice

Footage has emerged of London Mayoral candidate Brian Rose drinking his own urine on two separate occasions. In clips first shared in 2018, Rose can be seen guzzling on his own fluids before describing the taste as “a little salty” and “kind of not bad at all”. Rose has since deleted the clip from his Instagram profile; fortunately, Guido saved the precious footage for your viewing pleasure…

London’s Shadow Mayoral Election

It’s fairly certain that – bar an extraordinary event – Sadiq Khan will be re-elected on 6th May. It is also overwhelmingly likely that in a relatively distant second place will come Conservative Shaun Bailey. What is less clear, however, is who will achieve the coveted third place. Who will be the least minor minor party? Guido has compiled a list of all the declared candidates:

Minor parties:

  • Sian Berry, Green Party. Polling level with the Lib Dems, Sian Berry leads the Green Party and is also standing to retain her seat on the London Assembly.
  • Luisa Porritt, Liberal Democrats. Neck and neck with the Green Party, Porrit is the Lib Dems’ second choice for Mayor. She was briefly an MEP between 2019 and 2020.
  • Peter Gammons, UKIP. Gammons, who has been associated with faith healing, is currently polling in fifth place.
  • Laurence Fox, Reclaim Party. Anti-Woke Fox is standing alongside Reform UK, who are putting up assembly candidates.
  • David Kurten, Heritage Party. Elected as UKIP in 2016. Kurten’s Heritage Party stands for traditional family values.
  • Kam Balayev, Renew. Anti-Brexit centrist party.
  • Mandu Reid, Women’s Equality Party. The party managed to accrue 2% of the vote last time.
  • Valerie Brown, Burning Pink. A climate terrorist party born out of Extinction Rebellion, with the stated aim of attempting to abolish representative democracy.
  • Winston McKenzie, Unity In Action. Founded in 2017, UIA is McKenzie’s eighth political party.

Independents:

  • Count Binface. Stood against May in 2017 and Boris in 2019. Reasonably funny candidate.
  • Brian Rose. Podcaster and YouTuber busy plastering London with big posters of his face.
  • Piers Corbyn. Corbyn will be standing if he hasn’t been arrested again for publishing antisemitic literature.
  • Max Fosh. YouTuber standing with the express intention of beating Laurence Fox.
  • Drillminister. Rapper in a balaclava.
  • Farah London. Presumably standing due to nominative determinism.
  • Nims Obunge. Pastor at the Freedom’s Ark Church in Tottenham.
  • Rosalind Readhead. Another climate loon.

Each candidate is required to stump up a £10,000 deposit in order to stand – a sum that will only be returned if the candidate achieves over 5% of the vote. Last time the only parties to retain their deposits were Labour, the Tories, and the Greens. This year’s 17 minor candidates have so far contributed £170,000 to City Hall…

Sadiq to Abandon Tube Fares Freeze

Sadiq Khan has admitted today that his single fares freeze for tube journeys will end if he is elected for a second term (in the mayoral election that the Government insists is going ahead despite electoral commission advice). Not that you’d know from looking at his Twitter feed…

On the day that the Government is officially moving from ‘Contain’ to ‘Delay’, the tube fares freeze that only applied to single journeys and therefore helped tourists more than it did commuters will be scrapped. Sadiq has, however, committed to sticking with his bus fares freeze. A good day to bury bad news?

UPDATE: The Tories’ candidate Shaun Bailey tells Guido:

“Sadiq Khan’s fare hike u-turn is an admission that he has put TfL finances in the toilet. His fake fares ‘freeze’ has left £640 million worth of upgrades undone, which has set London back.

“Even worse, Sadiq Khan is now trying to hide his fare hike u-turn in the midst of a public health pandemic. It is shameless and despicable behaviour from someone who is supposed to be a leader.”

Punchy.

Well Played, Paddy

Criticism of Sadiq Khan over his links to Suliman Gani fell flat partly because Cameron and Fallon cocked up their attack lines, though the new mayor’s spin operation deserves credit too. Paddy Hennessy successfully convinced his mates in the Lobby that Gani was actually a Tory and not a Labour supporter – mainly on the basis of a selfie with a clueless Zac. The press quickly turned their fire on Zac over his key attack line apparently falling apart…

The truth, as the video above shows, is that Gani is an Islamo-Socialist Labour supporter who vocally backed Corbyn for the leadership. Gani occasionally opportunistically shared non-partisan platforms with some Tories and candidates too. Sadiq’s team impressively persuaded the Lobby that this was somehow equal to – or even worse than – Gani sharing platforms with Khan nine times and publicly endorsing the Labour leader. Meaning very difficult questions about Sadiq’s past associates were swerved. Paddy played the game very well…

Sadiq Khan New Mayor of London

It is now mathematically impossible for Zac to win so Sadiq Khan is the new Mayor of London. Which means…
