In a fresh Ipsos survey, Nigel Farage has emerged as the UK’s most popular politician, with a solid 28% favourability among the public. The least popular politician, Rachel ‘from accounts’ Reeves, scraped a pitiful 18%, dragging up the rear with a -32% net approval rating. Being economical with the truth whilst raiding people’s wallets may have something to do it…
Kemi Badenoch sits on 21% with a -18% net approval, while Sir Keir Starmer barely edges past her with 23% support. A staggering 52% view Starmer unfavourably, leaving him with a -29% net approval – 9 points lower than Nigel’s -20% net approval rating. Meanwhile, the petition demanding a general election has now surpassed 2 million signatures…
Andy Haldane, Burnham’s recent adviser on the economy who has not taken up a No10 job, told Andrew Marr on LBC:
