Elphicke has been appointed as the chair of the Defence Homes Strategy review team – a plan first started under the Tories – which aims to improve the conditions of homes of militaries families across the country. In answer to a written parliamentary question, defence minister Al Carns revealed that Elphicke is paid a whopping £600 a day – the equivalent of a £156,000 annual salary.
