The latest YouGov poll has Reform surging further into the lead, now two points ahead of Labour and a full six points clear of the Tories. Reform stands at 27%, with Labour lagging on 25%, while the Conservatives remain stuck at 21%. The real Opposition?

That’s not a huge surprise given yesterday’s poll which had Reform so far perceived by voters as stronger, more trustworthy, and with a clearer sense of purpose than the Tories. Meanwhile, Reform are boasting about hiring more staff – doubling their press team (from two to four) and deploying a graduate scheme for their young supporters. CCHQ on the other hand are bracing for another round of sackings…
UPDATE: For the first time in YouGov polling, Nigel Farage has overtaken Keir Starmer in favorability ratings. Farage now holds a net approval rating of -30, while Starmer lags behind at -40.
Paula Barker, Liverpool Wavertree MP backing Andy Burnham, told Times Radio there wouldn’t be trouble from the markets under Burnham:
“The markets will have to fall in line.”
