It’s another brutal survey for Kemi—now in 14th place in the shadow cabinet rankings—as YouGov’s latest polling for Sky delivers more bad news for LOTO. The party is falling well behind Reform across multiple measures, with just 10% of voters seeing the Conservatives as “strong,” while a damning 61% see the party as “weak”. Reform on the other hand fares better, with 31% viewing them as “strong” and only 27% as “weak”…
The party’s direction—or lack thereof—is equally damning. A paltry 18% of Britons believe the Tories have a “clear sense of purpose,” -a view echoed by jittery insiders at CCHQ – while, 49% say Reform is clear in what they stand for. Even on trust, the Tories trail: 11% consider them “trustworthy,” compared to 19% for Reform. Rebuilding faith in the party is Kemi’s uphill battle…
Meanwhile murmurs of a leadership challenge “within months” continue to swirl as Kemi’s poll numbers nosedive. Concerns within the party aren’t eased by her fence-sitting on policy —or refusal to strike a deal with Farage — as the party coffers run dry. Reform’s momentum isn’t looking to slow down anytime soon…
Sarah Pochin at Reform Scotland’s manifesto launch event: “I really wanted to come on in a Reform tartan burka, but apparently I wasn’t allowed… One day let’s do one of these events not live-streamed. We’ll do all the naughty stuff…”
