How Nadine Dorries voted on key issues since 2001:

Has NEVER voted on a transparent Parliament.

Voted VERY strongly for introducing a smoking ban.

Voted STRONGLY for laws to stop climate change.

Oh dear what a Tory let down!

That’s not news 1:19 As she is now in the public eye for all the wrong reasons, Why not let the people judge her on her proffessional record that is little known and DOES effect us ALL.

Is that not what she would want, does she not shine like a bright Tory light of hope, honsty and inspiration to us all?

Are you not proud of her record?

        #171. Well said.
I signed up to theyworkforyou.com a number af months ago. Since then I’ve been astounded that my own MP seems to be living out their student fantasies as they ask about Morrocco fishing rights, Dafur interventions etc etc at debates , but hasn’t once asked a question or been involved in discussions about their own constituency where unemployment is the worst in the country.
So much for ZaNuLabour MPs in “safe” seats supporting working (or NON working families)

Yes. No publicity is bad publicity here (unless you are McSnot and his band of course).
Together with McBride possibly being interviewed by Commons committee this just helps this sleaze story run and run.
They are still squirming – so much for the “draw the line under this now” repeated lines.
Anyway, does anyone know exactly what McBride is doing now and is he certainly not employed in the Civil Service ?

Did any other of your friends or employers know of these sleaze stories ?
If so, which ones did they find “absolutely brilliant” ?

If you look at the Electoral Commission’s website it is very clear that ensuring confidence in, and the correct running of, elections are very much part of their terms of reference. Whether they act proactively or merely respond to specific requests I don’t know. But there would be no harm in the Tories and MSM (some hope, perhaps) giving them the heads-up.

Paradoxically, in the same way that when he saw public disquiet about the issue of smear emails Brown was forced to huff, puff and tut about them ‘having no part in politics’, there seems no reason why he should not ‘note’ the recent ‘problems’ in the area of questionable voting and procedures, the comments of a judge, and growing public concern, and assure us that he and the Labour Party share that concern.

one postal vote was allowed to be counted although the identity could not be verified while another was disallowed for the same reason.

Two late emergency postal votes were submitted on the night to be included in the count, but were in “completely different envelopes to those issued for postal voting purposes”, he wrote in a letter to the NEC.

The postal votes were not kept in a secure sealed box at the hustings but were transported in a plastic bag, said Mr Walker.

There were also only two scrutineers, both of them male, rather than the requisite 12, of whom half are meant to be women.

and the most damming of all…..

There was no list of verified postal voters.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1173769/Revealed-The-filthy-rental-home-vacated-James-Purnell–1-600-cleaning-paid-taxpayers.html

2 Things strike me here :

1 : he also claimed a total of £586 for repairs on the flat. Can you legally claim on expenses money for criminal damage because if the apartment was a rental, then repairs would have be done by the landlord unless its wilful neglect.

2 : £1,600 cleaning bill paid by taxpayers due again to wilful damage by the MP and by the breaking of contract, the deposit would also be taxpayers money , no doubt. Is this allowed to claim money back from taxpayers for criminal damage?

  29. 91
    Sir Reginald Titbrain says:

O/T but look, after the G20 talks, the G20 reality.
    Give us the efing money

‘The IMF’s ruling International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) trumpeted as a “key achievement” success in securing $250 billion to double the fund’s available finance for crisis loans,

But while more than $300 billion of the $500 billion target sum has now been pledged, countries were still at odds over who should provide the remaining money promised by the G20, and by what means.

A split also erupted between the United States and Europe over a call by Washington for a far-reaching shake-up of the IMF that would give a much bigger say in its operations to emerging market countries, led by China, at the expense of Europe……..The most serious differences came over the urgent efforts to raise the extra funding for the IMF. The US continued to lead attempts to persuade more countries to make one-off crisis contributions to the fund’s coffers or boost their existing commitments.

Talks were under way to expand the select group of countries that can be called on to provide extra money to the IMF under its so-called “new arrangements to borrow”. But the weekend meeting ended without a deal.

China, Brazil and India led developing nations in forcing through measures under which the IMF will sell bonds on world markets to raise additional funding as an alternative to some countries offering it longer-term loans. Along with other emerging market nations, China is reluctant to make bigger financial commitments to the IMF without being allowed a much greater part in decision-making at the fund and its sister body the World Bank. The emerging powers argue that they are under-represented in the two organisations under “quotas” that set their voting power as well as how much they pay in, and are demanding more say in return for any extra cash.

Would you adam and eve it.

Do we know who exactly kicked Brown in the head during that rugby match? A boot ending up in contact with a cranium does not happen every day, even in Scotland. Never an accident.

Whoever it was should be in line for some sort of award – a small one though. They clearly picked up some warning from the future, but failed to strike home with sufficient force.

The petition to remove Brown has received the august attention of the Manchester Guardian, unfortunatley no direct hyper-link to the petition site is provided.

It was about 10,500 earlier today, any ideas where it will be by six o clock?

“The £1.3 billion Titans prisons plan was culled as ministers face a spending squeeze on all fronts. It has been replaced by proposals for five smaller institutions, only two of which will be built initially.

Government sources have denied the changes are linked to the borrowing crisis, and said Mr Straw was responding to fears from prison reformers that smaller prisons are more effective at rehabilitating offenders.”

    It started in Scotland says:

Can we as voters demand focussed scrutiny from the Electoral Commission? If Guido’s men of action all appeal to the EC based on the considerable evidence and rumour of Labour’s gerrymandering within its own internal election process, would the EC not be forced to ensure rigid standards apply?

Cite too the judge’s findings of ‘banana republics’ and proven cases of postal voting fiddles by Labour in the main, but also I believe on one occasion by a Tory.

Our version of ‘democracy’ is far from actual democracy, but if postal voting fraud is allowed to become even more commonplace than it is now, then we will find ourselves under a permanent Brown/Balls/McBride/ Watson/ Draper dictatorship.

Nadine Dorries – dontcha luv ‘er? This is one feisty Tory lady whose legal resolve is not for turning, eh babe? Smeared, impugned, psychologically and socially violated for nothing more than daring to be a bit scrummy and have fabulous norks. Go get ‘em, girl!!

Nadine Dorries – crazy name, crazy lady! OK, so some fat, jealous Scotcher, aged before his time, has a half-arsed try at putting you down with a few ill-chosen fibs. So what, honey? We all know you’re a babe – no need to go off the friggin’ deep end and call the ambulance chasers is there? Get real sweetheart, you’re a nice bit of stuff in the public eye – deal with the flak or get outta the kitchen! You’re too late to audition for page three so get used to it and calm down.

Is the joke claiming that her personality might get in the way of the prosecution?

What, legally, does it mean that Brown uttered that phrase “I take full responsibility, and that that’s why the personal responsible has left their job” (paraphrased) outside in public rather than with parliamentary privilege?

Was that another well staged legal ambush?

What a pathetic cartoon. Nadine is not suing in order to stop the press repeating the McBride slanders – she’s suing because a court of law is about the only possibility we have of discovering the whole electronic ‘paper’ trail of exactly who was copied in on this conspiracy to defame and what was contained in all their replies. There has to be a strong chance (given the earlier Chequers meeting about Red Rag) that someone else in 10 Downing Street was in the loop (very topical, ed) on this. If this can be proven then this provides evidence that Brown lied to Parliament and we won’t have to wait til next spring to turf the one-eyed Nokia throwing miserabalist Broon out on his ear.

    You go for it Nadine.
