With Heat Street now at a dead end, Louise Mensch has a new online enterprise called Patribotics, strapline “Exposing Vladimir Putin’s War on America”. Her latest story headlines that Fox News Under FBI Counterintelligence Investigation:
Specifically, Sean Hannity is on signals intelligence co-ordinating his pro-Trump message with organs of the Russian state, such as RT, Sputnik, Wikileaks and Julian Assange
Her sources also tell her that Trump’s White House chief strategist is facing the death penalty for espionage. Guido admittedly hasn’t been following the whole Trump/Russians thing that closely. So this is shocking news given he hasn’t even been charged. The site has a lot of other conspiracy theories which Guido has not had the will time to read. Guido has his own conspiracy theory – her whole site is actually a Russian false flag operation to discredit all the Trump / Russia conspiracy theories as crazy…

WikiLeaks has revealed Louise Mensch’s support for Hillary Clinton included a private suggestion for an advert for her campaign. Louise has since switched support to independent candidate Evan McMullin who she calls an “actual Republican” – even though he is not the official Republican candidate. This was the email from Louise which was forwarded to the Democratic campaign in February:

Louise Mensch and Milo Yiannopoulos are getting worked up about the revelation that Facebook’s “Trending News” discriminates against right-leaning news sources. This means their outlets Heat Street and Breitbart are being denied traffic by Facebook. Facebook had kinda-sorta pretended that their Trending News function was an algorithm driven objective news curator. Gizmodo revealed that it was actually curated by left-biased human editors.
Steve Hilton over at CrowdPac gives us a clue why that might be:
CrowdPac shows that Tom Stocky, Facebook’s VP of Search who is responsible for the “trending” feature, is a major donor to Hillary Clinton. In fact based on all his contributions the data shows that he is to the left of Clinton. CrowdPac says the rest of Facebook’s “content team” skews even further to the left based on previous donations to political candidates and causes. So now you know Facebook are probably not politically neutral.
Milo and Mensch are now demanding a meeting with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, presumably in a safe space, to discuss this suppressing of conservatives and libertarians after he invited “leading conservatives and people from across the political spectrum” to share their views. Zuck also denies Facebook is biased.
So what if Facebook is left-of-centre? Are lefties entitled to a meeting with Rupert Murdoch to complain that the Wall Street Journal is right-of-centre? Louise tweets that even though Facebook is a private firm, “it is governed by terms of business that state objectivity and EU data law too”. No idea what she means by that, nor does Guido think publishers should be required to be even-handed. Guido isn’t in his equivalent “Seen Elsewhere” links. If a private firm was required to be “objective” in editorial decisions, Guido would oppose that. A free press is not required to meet up to some illusory measure of “objectivity“. Milo and Mensch should stop whining like snowflakes about how unfair it is. Winners compete, not whine.
Louise Mensch is being tight-lipped about her new Heat Street venture beyond that she has hired Miles Goslett as UK news editor and Noah Kotch. The News Corp. backed project will, we are told, be centre-right “libertarian” and provocative with “no safe spaces”. Guido’s sources in New York tell him that Louise’s face pops up on the Wall Street Journal’s big screens off one-side of the newsroom when she video conferences with their digital innovation team. Is Mensch launching a right-of-centre Huffington Post?
Last Tuesday Dow Jones & Company, Inc. registered the Heat.St domain. Guido wishes Louise the best of luck, competition is always good for the reading general public and the political commentary space is a crowded highly competitive one. News Corp. is trying – with some difficulty – to re-configure for the digital future on both sides of the Atlantic. The Guardian shows that big newsrooms can make a high cost, high quality digital product. What is much harder is making a profit…
Julia Hartley-Brewer has justifiably got angry about being accused of bullying by a teenage Guardian writer who came off worse in a public debate with her. Julia wrote about the debate in The Telegraph, deriding her opponent’s views without naming her. The Guardian writer then started claiming she was, as a result, being bullied. She is a fame-hungry fantasist and the poster girl for the feminista victimhood.
This is another example of that smartphone immersed “snowflake generation” of victimhood-seeking, privilege-checking whiners getting far too much unwarranted attention*…
