Happy New Year Keir! Fresh polling from YouGov has Labour in third place for the first time since the election on 17%. The Tories sit on 19%, and Reform once again leads on 26%. This is the second time Labour’s poll rating has dropped to 17% since Starmer became PM. At the time of going to pixel, he is is about to hold his first cabinet meeting of 2026, with the cameras allowed inside for the first few minutes. Should be plenty of smiling faces…
Speaking about the Metropolitan Police, Nigel Farage told a press conference in London:
“Giuliani didn’t abolish the NYPD. He changed the leadership. He put those into positions of authority that shared his vision of the broken windows theory of dealing with crime from the bottom up. That’s what you have to do. So, I would suggest that rather than scrapping it, we need to find the right people in the right position.”
