Kemi Badenoch has told GB News that John Healey must resign if next week’s Budget fails to deliver Labour’s defence spending promises. Which is inevitable, since Healey is deferring any decisions on that until the spending review at some nebulous point next year…
Badenoch said today:
“As Chancellor, if he cannot do this job, then he should resign. If not, they should call a general election because defence of the realm is the first duty of Government.”
She also laid into US envoy Steve Witkoff for calling Putin a “humanitarian”, calling the remark disgraceful and pointing to the Salisbury poisonings in 2018…
Robert Jenrick on the Today programme:
“Can you now give a guarantee to your listeners this morning that no BBC presenter in the future will be exposed as a paedophile, as a number have been in the recent past? No, of course you can’t…”
