The deplatforming organisation the Centre for Countering Digital Hate, founded by ex-No10 Chief of Staff Morgan McSweeney, masquerades as an “anti-hate” group but operates as a blunt tool of censorship, silencing anyone it dislikes. It was revealed to have a plan to “Kill Musk’s Twitter.” And receives cash from taxpayer-funded charities…
The CCDH’s director Imran Ahmed is a foe of the Trump administration. Asked about CCDH in a parliamentary question from Shadow Cabinet Office minister Mike Wood, culture ministers said:
“DCMS also engages with a range of civil society organisations in developing online harms policy, including where it relates to public safety. As part of this, the Centre for Countering Digital Hate has participated in official-level roundtables with the department in 2024 and 2026.”
The organisation campaigns for massive government control of the internet, in particular moves to defund right-of-centre platforms by bullying their advertisers. This is who is consulting the government this year…
