Nigel Farage has announced Laila Cunningham will be the party’s candidate for Mayor of London in 2027. She has also been appointed the head of Reform’s London branch. She first confirmed her interest in Sadiq’s job on the Guido Fawkes Show last year. Tomorrow’s news today…
Cunningham said:
“I am deeply proud to be standing as Reform UK’s candidate for Mayor of London.
London is my home. I was born here, raised here, built my career here and I am raising my children here. This city shaped me and it breaks my heart to see what it has become under Sadiq Khan and Labour.
Knife crime is out of control. Families feel unsafe. Ordinary people can no longer afford a home. Businesses are closing. And Londoners tell me every single day that they feel ignored and abandoned by a political class that looks after itself not them.
This city still has everything it needs to be the greatest city in the world. But it needs real leadership. It needs courage. And it needs a Mayor who will put Londoners first, every single day.
That’s why I’m standing: to make London safe and hopeful again. To bring pride back to this city. To give Londoners the voice they’ve been denied for far too long.
This is a once-in-a-generation chance to change direction. And I will fight with everything I have for the London we deserve.”
2028…
Speaking about the Metropolitan Police, Nigel Farage told a press conference in London:
“Giuliani didn’t abolish the NYPD. He changed the leadership. He put those into positions of authority that shared his vision of the broken windows theory of dealing with crime from the bottom up. That’s what you have to do. So, I would suggest that rather than scrapping it, we need to find the right people in the right position.”
