Reform councillor Laila Cunningham has told Guido it would be “an honour” to be the party’s candidate for Mayor of London. Speaking to Guido’s Adam Cherry, the former Conservative councillor – who defected to Reform earlier in the summer – confirmed she would throw her hat in the ring “if asked“. “We need two things. One, is a Londoner through and through… and someone that can win”

“If I was asked to do it, yeah it would be an honour. Of course. You know, I’m born and raised here as I said. I’m still living here, my kids are raised here. My whole life is in London. I love it, and seeing it like this is very very upsetting.”
There are rumours Cunningham isn’t the only one within Reform who thinks it would be a good idea…
