The People’s Vote campaign was left humiliated this afternoon after the City of London Corporation has voted against agitating for a second referendum by two to one. Just 31 of the 100 Court of Common Council members voted for the motion, with 60 voting against it after what was described as “substantive debate.” If Remainers can’t even win in the City of London, a remainer stronghold, where can they?
