Diane Abbott has called for London to have its own minimum wage and says the Greater London Authority should not work with companies that don’t pay the voluntary London Living Wage. Unfortunate, then, that she’s been advertising for jobs in in her Westminster office well below the London Living Wage. New interns are offered £7.20 an hour, £2.20 lower than the LLW, which is set at £9.40. When Diane was confronted over the weekend, the salary in the advert was bumped up.
