Boris has hired the Telegraph’s chief foreign correspondent David Blair as his new speechwriter, Guido can reveal. A staunch critic of Putin with a cut glass accent and balls of steel, Blair was kicked out of Zimbabwe by Mugabe and more recently proved the massacre of Maidan in Ukraine by counting bodies in morgues. He takes a tough line on Assad, arguing ISIS cannot be defeated while the tyrant remains in power, a slight departure from Boris’ infamous “bravo for Assad” article. George Galloway is not a fan.
