As rumoured last week, Newsnight’s Allegra Stratton is off to ITV:

“BBC Newsnight’s Political Editor Allegra Stratton is to join ITV News’ line-up of specialist experts in the newly-created role of National Editor.

Allegra will work across ITV News’ full range of programmes, appearing frequently on News at Ten. In her new role, she will provide insight and in-depth analysis of the domestic and policy issues that matter to our viewers.”

Stratton is not thought to have got on brilliantly with Ian Katz. Wounder for the BBC as ITV News at Ten bolster their line up further. Newsnight looks like a sinking ship…
