11% Pay Rise For MPs

For the average punter tuning into the news last night or this morning, all they would have heard about is MPs’ pay or party funding. The last weeks of politics before the long, hot summer break for our hard-working representatives will have been a period of spectacular navel-gazing as they argue over giving themselves an 11% hike to their salaries that are already three times the national average.

Dave says let the voters see which MPs will offer them a choice on the EU, well Guido thinks the public should have the same level of scrutiny over their representatives’ pay. There should be a vote on this pay increase that will come into force after the next election. Let them put their money where their mouth is…
