Kemi Badenoch is making a ‘Policy Renewal Programme’ speech at 10:30 this morning in Pancras Square, where she’ll declare that Net Zero by 2050 is “impossible” to achieve without “bankrupting Britain” or causing a “serious drop in our living standards”. Gaia co-conspirators will be well aware of how the government’s green dreams are already turning into a nightmare…
She’ll accuse her own party of setting an “unachievable” Net Zero target in 2019 without a plan, while also hitting out at Red Ed for “serving up dollops of lofty rhetoric”. The Conservative Environment Network is fuming, calling the announcement a “mistake,” while Reform’s Richard Tice is grumbling that she’s merely “copying” their anti-Net Zero stance. Still, co-conspirators shouldn’t expect a concrete new policy today, with LOTO sources saying this is more of an “announcement” about something that needs to be “said out loud” rather than setting a fresh deadline. Climate crusaders won’t be pleased…
