EU Spends £2 Million on Trolling Online Eurosceptics

This week Guido reported GCHQ’s sophisticated plans to infiltrate social media and blogs, presumably with the aim of fomenting revolution overseas. Now the EU is plotting something even more sinister, spending £2 million on internet trolls to subvert online Eurosceptic debate. According to the leaked document:

“[European] Parliament’s institutional communicators must have the ability to monitor public conversation and sentiment on the ground and in real time, to understand ‘trending topics’ and have the capacity to react quickly, in a targeted and relevant manner, to join in and influence the conversation, for example, by providing facts and figures to deconstructing myths. Particular attention needs to be paid to the countries that have experienced a surge in Euroscepticism.”

So if readers ever come across a Europhile in the comments, beware they may be a taxpayer-funded astroturfing EU troll…

While we wait and debate issues, they are putting together a plan that will do away with a referendum. The TTIP has clauses in it that make, Reversing policies made by previous governments impossible and making leaving the EU Illegal? Their is also a clause, ‘The Investor-State Dispute Settlement’ this gives companies power to SUE governments, if it brings in policy that affect it’s profits, like raising minimum wage or introducing a Living wage?

Being in the EU gives Britain a stronger voice? says:

The point is that the Europhiles strongest argument is that being part of the EU gives Britain (the world’s 6th largest economy) a stronger voice on the world stage than it would otherwise have. So one would expect it to be even more powerful than number 6 if that were true.

California the world’s 12th largest economy does not have even have the world’s 12th largest voice on the world stage. So much for being part of a Union of States.

Actually, far from maintaining peace in Europe, if the EU keeps forcing itself into areas of everybody’s lives that it has no explainable reason to be, and insisting that the voices of the electorate should never be listened to, much less acted upon, then it will achieve the exact opposite. We already see violent crowds on the streets of some members states protesting against the poverty into which EU political dogma and hubris has plunged them in absurd defence of the unworkable Euro. How long before the whole continent rises up against the imposition of a political tyranny that in England at least Magna Carta was written to prevent? The EU is to peace as the Mafia is to law enforcement.

As I see it, the EU functions by “hoovering up” backward, bankrupt and/or balls-upped Countries and giving them “votes” in return for a turn at the hind teet, now and again, in exchange for the vote. Thus the number of BBB votes outnumber the Danegeld payers, on the premise that like a nest full of cuckoos they all screech as loudly as each other.
Thus the illusion of “Democracy” is advanced as the basis for for refusing to do anything material. The answer is really very simple.
Art. 50. A partnership is cdissolved when any partner says that that is it. Those remaining ,willing to reform, may do so or in Europe’s case the wreckage will collapse if Britain gives them the Bum’s rush. Until our population actually votes for UKIP to do what they have said, the existing political back-scratchers, arse-bandits and Europhiles will keep us in and paying for their pensions.

Is this like the Media monitoring unit that Gordon Brown set up?

The government media monitoring department that a Clarence Mitchell ran, the same Clarence Mitchell who became the McCann’s media spokesman.

The same media spokesman operating on behalf of a private couple but paid for by the taxpayer.

The same couple who later went on to complain that they were abused by the press even though they used the press twice a day through their government provided media spokesman, Clarence Mitchell.

UK government agency to monitor blogs

      By Carlos Grande

The COI, the UK government’s communications agency, is working on a way to monitor what people say about policy on blogs and internet forums for the media briefings it sends to ministers.

A project by the COI’s Media Monitoring Unit is considering how to add blogs to its regular summaries of government coverage in mainstream press or television.

The summaries are used across Whitehall from ministers to departmental communications teams, often as an early warning service on issues rising up the public’s agenda.

The blog project was in part prompted by departments’ concerns at being caught unawares by debates spread on the web.

It reflects the growing media profile of the format and the fact some individual bloggers are moving from niche self-publishers to establishment opinion-formers.

Clarence Mitchell, director of the MMU, said though there was debate about the objectivity of some bloggers, several were taken increasingly seriously within government.

I have had a look and the EU definitely exists, I don’t think it is useful for anyone that it does exist (as it either destroys you or it corrupts you pace Kinnock, RSPB et al), but it does. I’m not sure I have ever heard anyone say ‘well, you talk about the EU but I’m sceptical, I don’t think it really exists’. Would ‘totalitarian sceptic’ work? Same thing, but somehow, obviously wrong.
