20 year-old Jake Morrison’s last ditch plea to Miliband to save his position in the party has fallen on deaf ears. Luciana Berger’s attempt to purge him yesterday has been successful:

It does seem particularly unfair that a young councillor just beginning his career in politics, who has given his life to the party, should be knifed merely because he had the temerity to stand up for himself rather than toe the party line. Even more so considering he was forced out by Berger, when surely a councillor should be accountable to his voters rather than his local MP. Dissenters have been warned…
