Unpublished Fred Michel Evidence Implicates Brown

Brown Nosing Murdoch

In spite of his rough ride at Leveson it seems Gordon Brown got off lightly considering the evidence that wasn’t heard by the inquiry. Guido understands that Linklaters, the law firm contracted by News International to conduct interviews with employees over phone-hacking, possesses a wealth of evidence on the Prime Mentalist that Leveson decided was outside his remit.

Sources close to Linklaters whisper to Guido that while Leveson only asked for specific evidence from 2008 onwards, they collected testimony from Fred Michel dating back to the crucial election-that-never-was period in 2007 that was not heard at the inquiry. This includes embarrassing details of failed attempts by Brown’s aides to lobby Murdoch for support and more significantly evidence that sources at the law firm believe show Brown lied under oath when he denied the truth of the infamous ‘declare war’ phone call. If anyone at Linklaters feels like doing the public a service, they know what to do

    Labour Brown nosed Murdoch?

    Who would have thunk it.

    Hoe Street says:

    He’s out of power, and he’s discredited. I admire the ternacity Guido, but how about spending more time looking into the people who really matter to people on the ground? If you are short on stories, have a look at Labour-run Waltham Forest Council.

      It seems so unfair that people like Blair and Brown get away with things scott free, when something as inane as the Andy Mitchell saga is hyped out of all proportion and a man has to resign !

        I seem to recall... says:

        That isn’t unfairness so much as a consequence of the Tories failing to win the last election and remove the Labour hands properly from the levers of power. In many ways, Dave really is continuity Brown, but he just doesn’t understand it.

          I dont agree, David Cameron is head and shoulders above Brown on several levels.Labours hands are not on the levers of power ! they havent expressed one original thought in the last 2 years, but rather cling to their jobs in the shadow cabinetlike embarassing guests who dont know they arent wanted !

          • Rat's arse says:

            I agree to a point anon. However, after 13 years of the thieving beggars, Labour did infiltrate many sections of the ‘establishment’, and probably have some hold over them.
            I can’t tell you how much I hate & detest Labour. I don’t think the English Language could express my feelings adequately!

    It would be very interesting if they accidentally let the information be known….

    Accidentally, of course.

    Gordon looking as Savile as ever. The creepy tepee.
    I think his brakes have failed.

    2 Para says:

    Of course Brown lied.

    He is a pyschopathic monster.

    McStalin. McMental. McLooneytunes.

    He should be in a secure unit, & Blair should be in a Hague / Spandau prison cell.

    13 years of Labour – millions dead, millions more impoversihed.

    And yet they may well be in power again in 2015.

    And we call Russian democracy false.

      Dobbie says:

      The trouble is that Brown takes the focus off B£iar – B£iar is by far worse that Brown. B£iar fully deserves prosecuting.

        jgm2 says:

        No. They are equally culpable. Brown could have resigned (like Robin Cook) and the resulting political fallout might have toppled Blair and thus saved us from becoming involved in the Gulf War debacle.

        Blair could have fired Brown for economic incompetence at any point from 2001 onwards and saved us the UK economic clusterfuck.

        But both were too concerned about their own political career with the result that they covered up for each others idiocies until the damage was done.

          • Anonymous says:

            Which i for one find extremely funny,they are hanging on to their shadow cabinet posts like men clinging to the wreckage, they havent said or done anything of note in the past 2 years.They hound an MP who had an altercation with a P/C until he resigns, yet not one resignation from this shower who bankrupted the country. I cant see it happening anywhere else !

          • notatroll says:

            The Tory cabinet really should stop wasting their time posting on Guido like this & get on with dismantling the Welfare State.

    As the trials of Cockson and Brookes looms nearer, and their damning testimony regarding Call Me Privileged is heard…the neo nuts at Tory HQ are in a dicky fit.

    Watch and learn neo nuts….I would go as far to say, that Mr Plob will be knocking on Dave’s door…sometime around Sept 2013. Keep this in your favs, as a reminder

    Will S of Stratford says:

    Brown – My king! my Jove! I speak to thee, my heart!

    Murdoch- I know thee not, old man: fall to thy prayers;
    How ill white hairs become a fool and jester!
    I have long dream’d of such a kind of man,
    So surfeit-swell’d, so old and so profane;
    But, being awaked, I do despise my dream.
    Make less thy body hence, and more thy grace;
    Leave gormandizing; know the grave doth gape
    For thee thrice wider than for other men.
    Reply not to me with a fool-born jest:
    Presume not that I am the thing I was;
    For God doth know, so shall the world perceive,
    That I have turn’d away my former self;
    So will I those that kept me company.
    When thou dost hear I am as I have been,
    Approach me, and thou shalt be as thou wast,
    The tutor and the feeder of my riots:
    Till then, I banish thee, on pain of death,
    As I have done the rest of my misleaders,
    Not to come near our person by ten mile.
    For competence of life I will allow you,
    That lack of means enforce you not to evil:
    And, as we hear you do reform yourselves,
    We will, according to your strengths and qualities,
    Give you advancement. Be it your charge, my lord,
    To see perform’d the tenor of our word. Set on.

    There is no way I can accept that the international crisis in banking is fully responsible for the UK present state. Brown and B£air must accept some accountability irrespective which of the two were brown nosing to Murdoch and his apparent hostess aka Mrs Brooks

    Leveson had a remit and a certain amount of openness, ya know WHAT we allowed to witness Certain things some of us probably thought we knew quite well, i.e. a certain sequence of events, managed to be whitewashed over publicly – but IN PRIVATE and behind CLOSED DOORS, they know the truth

    The media does need to clean up it’s act, but whilst it has persecuted Mitchell out of office, it seemed it never read the jungle telegraph about Saville, how strange is that!!

    No respect whatsoever for those in politics

    I think you will find it started around 1993 and still goes on today

      Yeah, that’s what Judicial enquiries do – publish every bit of evidence that was outside their remit.

        Jimmy says:

        If only Rupert knew someone in publishing.

        Yes I’m sure there is some technical reason why this incriminating and not at all made up, let’s call it, evidence has not come out.

        You know sometimes it’s touching how trusting you people are.

    Who would you blame for blowing the flame right out?
    Is it me?
    There is no doubt I can do what I want to do from
    now until forever,
    Let’s have less of getting clever with me

    You’re wasting your time
    and my time as well la la la living a lie,
    I guess that time will tell.
    You’re making excuses
    ’bout the things you never done.
    Walking in circles, blinded by the sun.
    Blinded the sun.

    I don’t mean to sound unkind,
    to you.
    You just have to go and find
    something else to do.
    And don’t ask me what went wrong –
    the list goes on and on and on and on.
    The list goes on and on and on and on.
    The list goes on and on.

    Observer says:

    No eveidence before 2008, so the Brown brownnosing is not admissable. Milly Dowler was 2003, so is Leveson as bent as Hutton, when it comes to enquiries.
