Can someone explain the logic of benefit caps; families are capped at £500 while singles are £350. Problem are
1) people will separate and claim £850 a week
2) how can a family of 3, 4, 5 or 6 live on £500 a week if singles can claim £350 a week.
I think cap for single people should be reduced to £150 a week. Hope people challenge it as it seems it favours gays and discriminate against straight people as they more likely to live as a family.
Best is to stop benefits for able bodied people and people with minor disabilities but if we are paying benefits we have to do it fairly.

So, accommodation might be (say) 200 quid a week and electric (say) 50 quid a week and so on.
But the additional cost of food for each additional individual living in the house is a lot less than the fixed cost of the house in the first place. Hence families will be able to get by on 500 quid while a single person living alone will still have (almost) the same fixed costs as a family.
Why cannot singles live in a room and share a house, not even telling them to share a room. £60 for a room.
Even £50 pounds of electricity is over the top for a family. So utilities for a single person should be £15 a week.
Food, if he eats at home £35 is enough for basic food. If he / she wants the fine things in life let him / her get a job.
Even with this budget he / she has £40 more.
Deliver Healthy food to dole scroungers and the professionally handicapped…

Men and their cameras were allow nowhere near to their women in labour in the early 60s, unless it was a home birth (and then it would be considered weird). Moreover hospitals in Kenya in 1961 were colour segregated. My mother worked as a nurse in the African Hospital between 1959 and 1962, but had to give birth to my sister in the European Hospital. Obama’s mum being white would not have been delivered by a black doctor or midwife in colonial Kenya.
