Now and Then, Now and Then

Hugo Rifkind has discovered Savile in his own words too:

Savile writes: “‘Ah,’ says I all serious, ‘if she comes in I’ll bring her back tomorrow but I’ll keep her all night first as my reward’.” He then writes that the girl did go into the club and “agreed that I hand her over if she could stay at the dance, [and] come home with me”. He wrote that he did then hand her over to the “lady of the law…[who] was dissuaded from bringing charges against me by her colleagues, for it was well known that were I to go I would probably take half the station with me”.

Looking bleaker by the minute for the BBC.

Not an defence but a fact that it was common knowledge that people in the pop music business indulged in sex with young girls without being too fussed as to their age. I am talking of the late 60s to early 70s.

These people included producers, musicians, DJs, promoters, roadies and all the other hangers on.

There is masses of it documented out there and some, but by no means all, has found its way onto the interwebs.

Of all the people who did, or may have, indulged in unlawful activity, there was none so prominent, nor long lasting in the spotlight, as Jimmy Savile.

None of the others at his level of prominence was sustained solely by the BBC, as far as I suspect.

Just to say some did, or even many did, does not mean that all did. I am convinced that Savile did though.

That’s why when one person comes forward you can get a flood because the others think they might be believed now there’s more than one.

Indeed. But there is an especially significant aspect of the Savile situation in which culpability remains even after the perpetrator’s death (I will not even bother with the caveat alleged as there is more fire than smoke here.)

This story is developing a la Tiger Woods when every bimbo under the sun hearing he played 18 holes a day felt obliged to admit to being one of them. I do not for one moment believe Jim and any other celebrity were saints 30-40 years ago or even are today. Groupies come in different ages, colours, shapes and sizes.
The story here is the delay in others revealing this information, be it the so named/ called “abused” or the broken down Rancids of the BBC world with their belated heartfelt discovered morality, climbing on a downward spiralling bandwagon.
Only thing happening is a dead DJ’s grave will become a public urinal whether he is guilty or not, the truth being something impossible now to prove.

    Aunty Matter says:

As I pointed out in the last thread, there are some serious questions to be answered by the BBC.

For starters what did BBC management know?

Did kiddie fiddling ever take place on BBC property?

If BBC staff knew (and it appears some did know) why didn’t BBC management take action?

It’s no excuse for the BBC to claim that they were only allegations. The BBC have attacked the Catholic church for years for suggesting there was a conspiracy by the church to hide the kiddie fiddling going on.

It’s not acceptable for the BBC to “offer to help” the Police. The Met Police should already be down at the BBC seizing any records, memos and beginning to interview BBC management past and present.

Did the BBC deliberately hide or kill stories about Savile to protect themselves?

Are there any other BBC staff past or present who have had allegations of kiddie fiddling smothered to keep the BBC in the clear?

Why is the BBC playing this story down when it bigged up phone hacking and abuse by the Catholic church?

  62. 62
    Sir Jimmy Savile says:

And of course, Bill Wyman in the ’80s became a bit notorious as well, even if he did marry her to make it seem respectable later on.

Amanda De Cadenet had a certain amount of notoriety as well.

And not forgetting BBC deity, John Peel who fled the US in the 60’s after being found to have married a 15 year old!

Show business is and was surrounded by all manner of groupies, many of which were under age and off their tits when some lecherous luvvie and believer in “free love” was taking advantage of her, safe in the knowledge that no one gave a toss.

But his mentor delved into it at greater length in Mein Kampf (he was wont to go on at great length, in any event.) Essentially Der Fuehrer claimed that because most people are not pathological liars, they keep what few lies they may tell manageable by telling them without a lot of detail, on subjects that the other person is not likely to stumble across the true facts of. For a politician to do the same thing, but only on a grand scale, Der Fuehrer argued, is a “lie that convinces by its sheer audacity,” and even if it can be immediately debunked, people will still remember it to some degree in the back of their minds, based on a no-smoke-without-some-fire kernel-of-truth theory, unable to conceive of someone lying so blatantly and remorselessly, even knowing they’ll be found out.

Jimmy Savile was employed by the BBC for decades, many at the BBC have admitted they knew what he was up to. The Newsnight report was going to claim Savile was molesting girls on BBC property.

The BBC have thier shit stained litlte fingers all over this and they can’t wriggle out.

These c u n t z have alleged that Andy Coulson should have known about phone hacking because he was the editor, so the BBC have to also take the blame for employing a rampent molester and giving him access to girls.

If this perverting of justice had been committed by any old Joe Public – it would have come to court ‘long ago’ and that ‘Joe Public’ would have been sent down. There are numerous examples of others who have committed similar offences and their cases – do not take up weeks and weeks of ‘court time’ at the taxpayers expense.

From 1956 to 1960 the Beeb ran a popular TV comedy series called WHACK-O! which was set in a seedy boarding school for boys. The humour derived entirely from the headmaster’s desire to ‘whack’ the boys while the adolescent boys concocted schemes to avoid getting whacked. The headmaster was played by Jimmy Edwards and his ‘old woman’-ish asst headmaster by Arthur Howard. Both men were likable but both – Howard especially – had a reputation for interest in younger males (he was later jailed for importuning.) An early example it seems of the Beeboids showing zero sensitivity (or concern) in exposing children (in this case boys) to potential inappropriate behaviour.
The spin-off movie, believe it or not, was called ‘Bottoms Up!’
Jimmy Edwards was later dropped by the BBC, not because he admitted he was gay, but because he stood as a Conservative candidate in an election!!

    welshwiz says:

A well-known IRA man during a deathbed confession told of parties in Dublin and London, where young boys were brought by East End gangster Ronnie Kray.

Apparently Kray had access to many London care homes and would have boys delivered to parties at DJ Alan “fluff” Freeman’s large flat over a music shop in East London. They would meet with show biz types and DJs including Jimmy Saville, Joe Meeks and occasionally Brian Epstein.

Saville was one of several men known to local police. In fact Saville instigated the DJ disco genre solely to gain access to boys. At that time, many DJs wanted access to androgynous boys with their make up and Carnaby Street clothes. This was a hidden world where figures from politics and entertainment mixed with criminals to gratify their lusts.

The whole the eastern region crime squad based at Rigg approach, East London was disbanded at the time through a combination of corruption, homosexuality and funny handshakes. Most freemasons I have met are fine, however, the higher in degree the more morally questionable they become, taking an interest in the occult and sexual perversion.

The British establishment has always had its fair share of such characters: some elevated to national heroes. Winston Churchill’s original Sandhurst file describes him as a confirmed sodomite who was a menace to the younger boys.

Jimmy Savile sued the Sun in 2008 over articles linking him to Haut de la Garenne, the children’s home where human remains were found and children were allegedly tortured and sexually abused. He denied ever visiting the home, despite photographic evidence to the contrary:

Alan Milburn says Labour’s scaremongering campaign for an unreformed NHS will not win election…

“It would be a fatal mistake, in my view, for Labour to go into this election looking as though it is the party that would better resource the National Health Service but not necessarily put its foot to the floor when it comes to reforming. Look, reforms are not easy, but the Labour Party is not a conservative party. It should be about moving things forward not preserving them in aspic. You have got a pale imitation actually of the 1992 general election campaign, and maybe it will have the same outcome. I don’t know.”
