£6,500 Reward to Set Off Ecuador Embassy Fire Alarm

Blogger and campaigner Mark Wallace is offering a generous reward for a brave upholder of the British justice system to set off the Ecuadorian embassy fire alarm and flush out Julian Assange.

The great and the good on Twitter have chipped in, and as we go to pixel the total stands at over £6,500.

Guido is heading towards Knightsbridge this evening…

Yes. Has that fellow Wallace lost his dog, Grommit or something, he wants to sit down have a cup of tea, some fruit cake and a bit of Wenslydale, he will feel much better.

Tad of an exagerration there. He’s on his way to Sweden where he’ll get a fair trial in full view of the world’s media.

But the queue of rapists lining outside the Ecuadorian embassy will dwarf even that for the forthcoming iPhone 5.

I did read the feminist in chief of the Guardian and the comments that went along with it all. Apparently Galloway is a dickhead- who’d have thought. But two things to note: a) he’s not guilty if he reasonably thought he had consent. b) the woman who was people assume was asleep made the statement to the police that she was “half awake”.

So it actually revolves about how awake and whether he might have thought that his advances were going down well. Rather a subtle jugement, which i don’t see in point 39.

And strangest of all, he did get retrospective consent to carry on with what he was up to.

Crap 8illy/ Guido. The suggestion was an extended joke with dire possibilities.
The question remains about the power of the press via Wikileaks revelations where extradition to Sweden could result in the USA government getting their pound of flesh from a whistleblower. In parallel we have the situation of “the power of the press” in completing full sexual relations when a willing participant who received the meat decides after realising her conquest has not only done the full deed on her but her friend too and wants retribution.
Add the fact that the one situation overlaps the other with government employee involvement; Swedens history in granting US demands; Britain being America’s poodle; The threat to Embassy sanctity ; to describe it as a multitude of proverbial cock ups does not unfortunately answer the rape allegations involved or clear the air in sorting it out.
Missed the Newsnight saga but Craig Murrays recent articles give a reasonable start point. The comments too.

“Shoddy journalism” – It is British Journalism as it has been for decades. It is not restricted to one newspaper – it’s all of them – with their political bent toward one party or the other. British Journalism like the Government of the day are and have become the laughing stock of the world. They ‘spin and spin and spin’. It must come inevitably to an end and I dare say it will as the public learn more and more each day – of how they and their parents have been thieved from for all of their lives – by the few who have been having it away with the peoples’ hard earned.

Russ and Sam, two friends, met in the park every day to feed the pigeons, watch the squirrels and discuss world problems.

One day Russ didn’t show up. Sam didn’t think much about it and figured maybe he had a cold or something.. But after Russ hadn’t shown
up for a week or so, Sam really got worried. However, since the only time they ever got together was at the park, Sam didn’t know where Russ lived,
so he was unable to find out what had happened to him.

A month had passed, and Sam figured he had seen the last of Russ, but one day, Sam approached the park and — lo and behold — there
        sat Russ!
Sam was very excited and happy to see him and told him so. Then he said,’For crying out loud Russ, what in the world happened to you?’

Russ replied, ‘I have been in jail.’

‘Jail!’ cried Sam. What in the world for?’

‘Well,’ Russ said, ‘you know Sue, that cute little blonde waitress at the coffee shop where I sometimes go?’

‘Yeah,’ said Sam, ‘I remember her. What about her?

‘Well, one day she filed rape charges against me; and, at 89 years old, I was so proud that when I got into court, I pleaded ‘guilty’.

Carlos – we put up with naysayer pillocks like you all the time – but slowly you’ll learn not to be so ‘dismissive’ – unless of course you have reached the capacity of your IQ – which I might add – you appear to have.

          • Carlos says:

Well that’s told me! “Slave, know your place!”

The new messiah was so enlightened he ran to Sweden for protection, until he sh@t in that bed and then ran to the UK, conned some similarly enlightened individuals to pony up a bail, and then sh@fted them too!

To put the cherry on the cake, he’s taken refuge in the embassy of a corrupt SA nation that are doing their best to suppress any critical independent press at home.. and yet it’s the ‘MSM’ that’s missing the real story? Hilarious!

Keep on Blowing your Whistle by all means, but don’t get your spandex in a twist, or the boogie man will be after you too!

          • Blowing Whistles says:

You’re a real gem Carlos – So our Government are the bees knees are they?

Ecuador is a different jurisdictional country – you’re allowed to throw as much shit at any country in another jurisdiction as you like – But don’t take a look in your own back yard – its been taken over by criminals, low-lifes and thieves.

And you are the kind of nutter that a bent government just loves. Twat.

          • Carlos says:

I think you were just grump and irritable because you were up past your bed time. Better this morning or you still full of venom and spite?

  37. 124

Be careful what you wish for, Guido. Especially you.

Assange may be a prat in many respects. He may have left-leaning views – but of that I am not convinced. Even if that were to be so, that is no good reason for us from the right wing to bay for his blood. I am most surprised at Mark Wallace whom I admire greatly normally. He has not thought this one through properly and neither have you, IMO.

No charges have been laid in Sweden to my knowledge. They should be. Sweden could assure Assange that they will not extradite him elsewhere whilst being questioned or being held in custody. In such circumstances he should then go there and I would be shouting as loudly as anyone for him to face the music.

The USA refuses to deny that they will attempt to seize him. That is ominous. The whole approach stinks. If this goes ahead and he ends up in the States, then none of us is safe, wherever we are in the world. And above all from the assembled company, that means you!

He’s been accused twice. So whatever he did he’s done it more than once.

If the charge is exactly as he claims and a bedmate changed her mind mid prod, then he’ll likely be told he has no case to answer and can go about his business.
If what Galloway claims is really all there is to this business then why won’t he face trial? It should be as open and shut as the legs of his alleged encounter.

If it were a genuinely random sample, of course, I would only have been asked very occasionally, so I have my doubts about the fairness of the sampling.

Tom Harris bemoans the public’s attitude to politicians…

“Mr Oborne echoes the lazy, anti-politics whine we hear so often these days, all based on the absurd notion that politicians were once loved and only fell out of public favour during the expenses scandal. He should take a walk to the Strangers’ Bar. But not to sup with the patrons he seems to despise so much, dearie me, no; he should instead look at the paintings on the corridor outside the bar, which depict the devastating fire which consumed most of the Palace in 1834. And he should reflect on the fact that on that dramatic night, as the Commons went up in flames, a crowd gathered on the South Bank to clap and cheer.”

Focus group time. says:

The thing that Dave needs to work out is which group is more likely to vote Conservative. Mad swivel-eyed loons or mad homosexuals wishing to get married.
