According to the Register of Members Interests, David earns over £25,000 per speech and £75,000 a year as a director at Sunderland FC, even pocketing a hundred grand for four days’ work as an advisor to an energy company in California. I’m always puzzled by righties who believe the only purpose of a limited company is tax avoidance. For people who claim to worship the private sector you seem to have very little experience of it.

What other purpose is there?
Quite standard to have a service company and reduce the tax bill. However,those who preach redistribution of wealth should make their own cash available for use elsewhere. They do not seem to want to do they?
Well what other reason is there for a single individual to masquerade as a company?
Jimmy, perhaps you know of more altruistic reasons why Miliband set up a company to funnel his earnings outside of Parliament? Perhaps he doesn’t claim business expenses and voluntarily pays the amount of tax saved through using the very same loopholes that the Labour Government vowed to close but strangely never did?

Point is, as you full well know, this limited company will provide Miliband with the opportunity to organise his earnings – which can include paying as little tax as possible. Now, this is neither illegal or immoral of course, but he should never dare sound off about others following his example and doing the same thing.

Over the past decade or so in a number of distinct corporate and non corporate areas, my words have either preempted disaster (a friend whose seemingly solid international company was about to go belly up), or have led to significant change in how things work (evidinced in one case partially in the Daily Mail but you would need inside info to timeline the subsequent changes that most definately adresed the issues). Admittedly they could all be coincidences, but that is a lot of coincidences, and I earn nothing from it. Mind you I have never tried to.
