However, James Q. Wilson, when reached for comment, offered the observation that, if you repair the window immediately, it will represent a commitment to maintaining good social order in the Westminster community, and other miscreants will not be emboldened to commit similar or worse offences, thus holding down lawlessness in general and making the community more livable.

Should have been court marshalled, for conduct predudical to good order and military discipline, disobeying a lawful order. A squadie would have been straight into Colchester military prison but him being a very poor specimen of an officer was just kicked out. There again Colchester prison has standards to maintain and he would lower the tone of that fine establishment.

Unfortunately an act like this will not influence Labour tribal followers. Even if he committed murder, his replacement would still get in.
20 years of bribing the electorate with public sector and union jobs, as well as “generous” (Polly Toynbee statement this morning on BBC Toady Programme) benefits will not go away quickly.
Add in the sustained poverty, immigration flooding, and degraded education system “up north and in inner cities” and Labour’s Soviet style control policies will ensure their activists keep in check that their followers will never undertake any real logical thinking.

    Sounds very serious indeed says:

A Labour MP was dragged away in handcuffs after going berserk in a House of Commons bar and headbutting a fellow MP.

Ex-Army major Eric Joyce hit at least three MPs, including a Labour whip, in a rage last night when they tried to calm him, it was claimed.

“There was blood spilled – it was like the
Wild West in there,” said one stunned MP.
Police were called but it apparently took five Commons security officers to restrain Mr Joyce, 51.

A glass door was smashed as they dragged him away, still struggling. The MP for Falkirk was taken to Belgravia police station, where he spent the night and was still being held today.
