Subsidy costing each household about £5,000 or 20% added and hidden on everyone’s energy bill, just to appease some EU regulation that can not and will not be fulfilled by the UK or other countries.

Death is a semi-taboo topic in our society and responses to it and other peoples’ grief often brings out very conflicting and even ugly thoughts along with the nobler ones: even in the same people. The British used to bottle these all in along with the expression of their more empathetic urges behind good manners and what has been derided by some as ‘reserve’, but that seems to be a thing of the past now.
Having said that, many of the comments are indeed a disgrace.
