        13eastie says:

        Guido,

        Your silly petition to bestow upon the State the legal duty to kill its constituents is explicitly concerned only with the offences of …”murder of children and police officers…”.

        Doubtless you are aware that no such conviction exists in relation to the death of Peter Connelly?

        While we might not doubt that Jason Owen is ghastly and that two years seems awfully insufficient, there is a yawning philosophical chasm between failing to protect a vulnerable individual (i.e. potentially an act of omission) and murder proven to jurors’ satisfaction beyond reasonable doubt.

        Have another go, Guido…

            I couldn’t Agree more. These Cowards who call for the Death Penalty only do so because they haven’t got the Balls to do it themselves. Man up will you Guido and stop being such a pussy

          • Tessa Tickles says:

            Oh, boy! I’d happily carry it out, and on an industrial scale, too. The problem, obviously, is the police do like to frame people. However, the death penalty should be for one crime only: being a chav. The police ‘service’ can’t frame you for being a chav. You’ve either got that piggy-eyed inbred face and a habit of saying “innit” repeatedly or you haven’t. And the penalty for having it should be death. Or “cleaning-up the gene-pool” as I like to think of it.

          • Andrew Smith says:

            So you are against the state letting criminals out of prison part way through their sentences for violent crime when the evidence shows a significant proportion go on to repeat offend during the time they were originally scheduled to be inside, including murder and rape,

            You are, presumably, also against the police being allowed to shoot dead on the order of a senior officer if he “reasonably” believes a member of the public may be a threat to the officers or public.

          jgm2 says:

          Yes What’s so special about police officers?

          Nobody forces them to join the police. I happen to value my life at least as much as a police officer and I think that anybody who takes my life should be punished just as much as somebody who kills a policeman.

          If Guido doesn’t value his life as much as he values police officers lives then that is his business but count me out of putting any fucker on a pedestal and proclaiming their life is somehow more important than mine.

          I only get one life too copper. It’s all I’ve got.

            Yes, it has always been a puzzle that one. Why not have a specific category for killing airline pilots or doctors? I am sure there are all sorts of people who do useful things for society whose worth we should value more. Binmen often get a raw deal as well.

          50 Calibre says:

          She won her case for unfair dismissal because Blinkie Balls made a complete bollocks of sacking her. If her employer had been able to follow their own procedure, she would be getting nothing, but as the idiot Balls decided that she should be sacked and cornered her employer into doing just that, she gets the damages. Balls ought to be made to pay her the compensation ordered by the tribunal.

          Just another screaming example of the mind-blowing incompetence of the cretin who would be the next Prime Minister.

            Shoesmith is yet another Common Purpose drone. Her sacking was indeed a backdoor payoff for services rendered to the ’cause’. The vermin are in every walk of public life, implementing the Common Purpose agenda everywhere they infest. If Balls had acted within the law she would have walked away with nothing, his action ensured she became a millionaire.

      True enough, but 2 years is a pitifully low sentence for this crime. Most people will probably agree that prison sentences are far too light in this country. Pressure from the likes of the Guardian and the BBC is to make them lighter still, as they constantly ask if rioters are being treated too harshly.

      The question most of us want an answer to is: “Why aren’t there more prison places so we can keep more scum off the streets?”

            Can all libertarians take a deep breath and just think-the esteemed left in this country have always blamed society whenever something like baby p happens,now it is clear New Labour spent every waking hour programming uneduacated persons that despite their truancy,violence,disruption in class,alcohol and drug consumption,teenage pregnancy and general anarchy that their formative years had been a big sucess and they should expect the world of commerce to come on bended knee and offer them a drug dealers income to make the tea in the office,somewhere along the line said prom attendees were going to realise that their options were finitely limited to minimum wage opportunies and decided a baby on benefits would just provide the right amount for a life of security in subsidised accomodation made interesting by carling lager and skunk cannibas.

          Depresed of Dorking says:

          An Obituary printed in the London Times – Interesting and sadly True!

          Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
          - Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
          - Why the early bird gets the worm;
          - Life isn’t always fair;
          - and Maybe it was my fault.
          Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

          His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

          Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

          It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

          Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

          Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

          Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

          Common Sense was preceded in death; by his parents, Truth and Trust; by his wife, Discretion; by his daughter, Responsibility; and by his son, Reason.

          He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;
          I Know My Rights
          I Want It Now
          Someone Else Is To Blame
          I’m A Victim

    Get it wrong with corporal punishment and then pay out a large compensation (arguably better than the loss of years of life inside). Get it wrong with capital punishment and de-killing them is a little more tricksy…

    There is a solution. Owen was described at the time of his trial as having “learning difficulties”, which, I believe, is code for what we used to call educationally sub-normal, or even further back, mentally handicapped, or before that, fucking nutcases.
    Now here’s a thing. Anyone who wants to have sex with children, torture babies, kill complete strangers or commit some of the other vile crimes that we read of every day is, by the standards of mainstream society, a fucking nutcase. The law has never required FNs to be executed, or even tried. They are just locked away for ever and ever, to be permanently tranquilised or allowed to sit for days on end in pools of their own excrement and have interesting conversations with rubber devices thrust into their mouths to prevent tongue-swallowing.
    The definitions of insanity and diminished responsibility should therefore be re-defined to allow the permanent incarceration of such people.
    Such a fate itself may prove to be a deterrant to those on the borderline.

    HenryV says:

    If the State wanted you dead I don’t there would be much problem. To pretend that your life is safe because there is no statue is naive in the extreme. Confusing that with hanging murderers is a bit dull verging on the stupid.

    Crime always happens to others. It is somebody else’s who gets knifed for their mobile ‘phone. It is somebody else’s daughter who gets raped. It is somebody else’s child who is abused to death. The majority of crime is committed by repeat offenders who don’t really care about society.

    Society is a collective venture. We have to stand up for each other.

    'Fingers' Timney and the Convicted Fraudster says:

    [Jacqui Smith is] offering her services as a consultant and after-dinner speaker through Boost Associates, a company founded last year by her husband Richard Timney in partnership with a convicted fraudster.

    Boost’s two founding directors were Mr Timney and David Cartwright, a former Labour leader of Redditch borough council who had just completed a three-year prison sentence for defrauding more than £80,000 while working as the manager of a charity for young homeless people.

    Cartwright – nicknamed “Dodgy Dave” – spent the charity’s money on cars, family holidays, new carpets and riding lessons for his daughter, a court heard. Sentencing him, Judge Toby Hooper QC told him: “The essence of your fraud offending is the abuse of the power and privilege which you enjoyed as a respected local government leader.”

        Milimong’s setting himself up for a fail with this. Anyone who considers his assertion that this dismal government is “right wing” is only going draw the inevitable conclusion that it isn’t. Camoron’s done u-turns on every policy that was even vaguely right-wing. Remember when he was going to limit benefits to £26K per household? Or get rid of quangos? Or reduce immigration? Or cut unnecessary spending? Or how about getting rid of those ridiculous “man-made global warming” taxes? Camoron never said he would, but that’s the point; a Conservative would.

        All we’ve seen is taxes and spending go up. Why bother voting for a Labour government when we’ve already got one?
