Disgraced LibDem Peer Eyes Another Job

Chris Huhne proved just how close a relationship the Liberal Democrats share with the Electoral Reform Society and now Guido hears that another Chris, Lord Rennard, is in the running to become its £65,000pa Chief Exec.

They claim the post is still in the interview process, but other sources suggest that he is already lined up for the role. Given his by-election strategy success of the previous decade and the upcoming AV referendum, the appointment would make sense. They better get some extra expenses forms in. Oh and someone warn the female interns…

      Can't remember my moniker says:

I think Monika’s girth exceeds even Rennard’s nowadays.

Perhaps we can have a new MPs expenses system where the amount claimable is in inverse ratio to the claimant’s BMI. That way, the fat troughers get nothing and the skinny ones have to be careful, lest they change within the job.

Why does any organisation think that employing an insignificant HoC or HoL member, whether current or ex,would bring any real benefit or value. Is it their ability to milk the ex’s that appeals?

If there is going to be true independence in these posts we ( the people) need people from the outside to get these jobs, rather than hasbeens

Martin Day BBC political correspondent says:

Prime Minister David Cameron has turned down an invitation to address this year’s TUC Congress, it was learned today.

Union sources said Mr Cameron has told the TUC that his wife is expecting their baby around the time of the conference in Manchester in September.

Bob Crow, general secretary of the Rail Maritime and Transport union, said: “RMT is pleased that the campaign to stop David Cameron addressing the TUC has been successful and that he has got the message and pulled out.

“At a time when his ConDem government is lining up the most savage attack on working people and public services since the 1930s, it would have been a travesty to have him address our movement in the autumn.

“The invitation to David Cameron was a class A mistake and now at least the trade union movement can get on with its real business, which is how we build the widest possible industrial and community campaign to fight the ConDems rather than having a lecture on fiscal fascism forced down our throats by its architect.”

A TUC spokesman said: “The Prime Minister has declined the invitation to address this year’s TUC Congress as he is likely to be on paternity leave.

“Political blogger,Guido Fawkes has accepted his invitation to speak.”

Fingers crossed, Cammo can privatise the NHS, liberate schools and contract out everything that public services fail to do. Assign Bob Crow to the cesspit that was the last century – odious runt. Bet he’s not gonna take a salary cut – “you’re breathing union air” etc etc

I bet ex squaddies who are struggling to find a job would be a better choice to give these roles too.

now, that’s where you are wrong my friend. You see, and you probably are too immature to understand this, however, what happens, and is the right thing to do, is that all of us who are in ‘the club’, fully paid up members of the elite, every now and again all swap places and do different things. It’s in our DNA and there absolutley nothing the fucking taxpayers can do about it hahahahahahaha
