Palin Coming to the Party

A flurry of articles this morning have picked up on Sarah Palin’s very excitable Facebook declaration that she was coming to London meet “one of my political heroines, the “Iron Lady,” Margaret Thatcher.” The Guardian is predictably sneering. The Mail on Sunday had the scoop first and raised the question of whether Cameron would meet the former Vice-Presidential nominee and potential Presidential candidate of the American sister party.

In Downing Street you can imagine the battle lines being drawn already. This is the stuff that Steve Hilton’s nightmares are made of, yet Palin has an obvious glitzy appeal to the right of the party and tabloid media, something Andy Coulson will know instinctively. As PM it would be extremely discourteous for Dave not to meet and be photographed with Palin if she was in town, a coutesy British PMs have extended to lesser known American politicians. Guido’s transatlantic sources indicate that she could be over on this side of the pond in the Autumn, perhaps around the time of Conservative Party conference, just when Dan Hannan and Douglas Carswell will be launching their Direct Democracy version of the American Tea Party movement.

Another headache for the Cameroons will be what the Deputy Prime Minister has to say about all this, since Clegg was perhaps expecting to be invited to be the surprise speaker in Birmingham

      Mr Ned says:

The Tea party movement has been hijacked by Palin and her Zionist loving warmongers. They are set to be ejected from it. Ron Paul’s supporters who created the tea-party movement are anti-Zionist, pro American, Pro Low taxes, Pro small Government and anti war and anti foreign entanglements.

They support Ron Paul’s form of libertarianism (even if Rand Paul said that the tea-party is not a libertarian party). They support the founding Father’s and the original commitments in the Constitution, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence. They want to be honest friends and trading partners with all, but have no entangling allegiances. That would mean withdrawal from the UN and all treaties that bind their law making capability. This is not isolationism, as this would free America to trade and help other nations freely and by common agreement with those nations for so long as such agreements exist and are needed.

The Republicans are trying to hijack this tea-party movement as it is a direct threat to the American 2 party dictatorship and their puppet-masters in the federal reserve and the fascist private banking cartels that run America for their own private gain.

The Tea Party would fully, publicly and openly audit the Federal Reserve. This would be a disaster for the banking elite on this planet.

This is why the global banking establishment and their puppet politicians and their media whores and their blogging slaves will NEVER allow the tea-party movement to really take off in any real and meaningful way.

The establishment cannot allow anything threaten their fascist and corrupt control agenda.

You seem to be operating under the bizarre illusion that the Tea Party has any kind of intellectual cohesion. They don’t.

The Tea Party isn’t some kind of “America and Americans First” movement, it is a “Me and My Kind First” movement of whingers who have just woken up to the fact that people like them have supported people like the Republican neo-cons as they dug a grave for America’s economy. They will never have any intellectual coherence because the bitter, angry losers you see foaming at the rallies will never admit the part they played in screwing over their own country. If you don’t get the problem, you’ll never provide a solution.

It’s rather amusing that anyone wants to meet Sarah Palin. Outside of the US, she is either a joke or a serious indication that America has collectively lost its shit. No doubt there will be a number of tosspots holding her up as a wonderful example of something. Said tosspots are guaranteed to think very poorly of single teenage mothers, and have heads so far up their arse they will see no contradiction in this.

If Cameron has spends time with her, he can be guaranteed to find it used against him politically. There’s must be a fair number of people in this country that view Palin with genuine contempt, and the huge proportion that at best see her as a topical joke.

Which Federal Reserve would you like audited? There are twelve of them, each separate and each situate in a different city. The Group govern themselves by way of a non-political Board at which each ‘bank’ has a seat. This is where Gordung got his idea to separate the Bank of England from the ‘State’, the Federal Reserve is ‘immune’ to political pressure from whichever administration is supposedly in control.

I take great exception to the idea that I should pay disproportionate taxes on my investments in growing companies when I sell or float them, 10% is quite sufficient thanks.

      Mr Ned says:

the Tea-Party movement was never set up for the extremist Ziooist loving W@r-mongerring bitch Palin and her supporters.

The Tea-Party movement is an AMERICA FIRST movement which means a big fat FUCK OFF to the Ziooists Isra-helli firsters.

This Tea-Party movement loves small and essential government only, self reliance, low taxes, freedom and a withdrawal from all foreign entanglements as the original daughters of the Declaration of Independence wished.

This is not isolationism as some people would have you believe. Actually it is the opposite as America would be free to trade and be good neighbours with and to all nations on earth. It would not have a tiny, artificially created, evil, warmongering little shit of a middle-eastern country dictating to them as it does now.

However the international banking elite will not want this as one of the first acts of a Tea-Party government would be that the Federal Reserve would finally be fully, openly and publicly audited, and that would be a disaster for the foreign fascist private banking cartels that run America for their own private gain and their political puppets and their media presstitutes and their blogging slaves.

So this is why Palin and the right wing of the American two party dict@torship have sought to infiltrate and hijack the Tea-Party movement. Their puppetmasters will NOT allow America to be governed for the good of Americans. Only for the good of the plantation owners and rulers.

          • yankeedoodlelander says:

I’m a yank and AC1 is correct. There is a libertarian and conservative wing of the Tea Party. The common denominator is upholding the Constitution and limited Federal government.

Furthermore, latest data show that the Tea Party has managed to attract a good amount of Independents and Democrats.

One openly gay woman went to a Tea Party event with some trepidation and was pleasantly surprised to find she was warmly welcomed.

For those who really don’t care for her, I urge you to actually listen to what she has to say. You might be surprised. Her response to Obama’s Oval Office speech this evening was spot on.

I agree. She is a lot smarter than she is given credit for. She is no more a creationist or religious fundamentalist than our Dave is, and she ran an efficient and socially liberal administration in Alaska. She worked with Democrats and Republicans to stand up to the oil companies while also promoting the development of Alaskan energy resources. She is an increasingly influential figure in US politics, supporting both moderate conservative Republicans as well as some (but not all) ‘tea party’-type candidates – see the results of the most recent batch of primaries for evidence of her influence.

She gave a couple of bad answers to interview questions during the 2008 presidential campaign and these have been used to denigrate her remorselessly, while she has also had to put up with an extraordinary amount of personal attacks on herself and her family. She’s tough, charming and quick on her feet – who knows whether she will stand for president, but she will continue to play a big role in the US political scene.

She is not a fringe figure, but an important US conservative and the UK Tory party should welcome her. Most importantly, they should not underestimate her.

I can see Russia from here says:

I think Cameron should leave well alone. She’s mad. Anyway, what position does she hold? Resigned Governor of Alaska – she couldn’t do that job adequately, so she’s unlikely to be able to hold down the POTUS gig.

I’ve emailed her via Facebook and asked her if she’ll have time to see David Cameron (he’s the prime minister, Sarah).

    Tony B Liar says:

I like Sarah. She’d make a great president. And if I was still prime minister, I know all my backbench MPs would support me in backing Mrs Palin. That’s because Labour MPs have real backbone, just like they did over Iraq and my visit to President Bush’s ranch. I’m confident that David will be just as courteous towards our Republican friends, and I’m more than confident that the Labour MPs will show the same unflinching support and acquiescence they showed me for ten years.

My god, this woman is an absolute cretin. I’m no Tory but beside her Thatcher is a giant. Why is she wasting her time with such a know-nothing?

    Croydon Shagger says:

Say what you want about her but I would rather shag Sarah Palin than Batty Harman or them left wing women.

Marina Hyde on the Guardian comes across as about the only shaggable one and even then I would pause for thought before getting down to business.

The once and future candidate ? says:

Stranger things happen in US politics….who would have thought that the yanks would have elected a black man as President even 5 years ago ? Obama came from nowhere to get the Democrat Nomination and upset the Clinton apple cart.Palin is a lot better known and could actually be the Republicn Nominee in 2012. Let’s face it she’s no more wacky that some previous Presidential candidates…better to hedge our bets just in case and extend an “official” welcome.

Palin will only be the Republican candidate if they know Obama is getting a second term. No sensible politician would waste their time. Palin 2012 is Goldwater 1964 (although Goldwater was at least a decent human being with some reasonable ideas).

    Cassandra King says:

You know folks its not often that we normal people get to experience the warm glow of satisfaction watching the madness of fear and hatred of the leftists run wild.
The one single thing that gives the leftists nightmares is a right wing uniting figure like Reagan or thatcher. Think about it for a minute, the leftists horror at having to deal with a popular leader of the right who speaks to ordinary people and connects with them is so very obvious to witness.
The poison spewed by the left against Reagan was vile and nasty and spiteful and it was the same with Thatcher. The good thing is that most can now see the poisonous filth from the left for what it is, desperation!
I hope Palin stands and wins just to witness the utter misery of the leftists if nothing else.

Waaaay, the base of humanity is to visit Britain. I wonder if her reading skills are up to the task of reading directions? Hopefully not and probably not.

I suggest anyone in the vicinity take along a “God hates shrimp”!–it’s in Leviticus thus it must be true HUURRRR–poster, perhaps one saying “I can see America from my bedroom window!”, or “drosophilia kill gametes!”…”the Lord’s noodly appendage brings you to us” or even better… “Africa’s the greatest country evar!” (intentional misspelling).

Oh I do hope Baroness Thatcher sneers obviously and vigerously. She is not one to tolerate such blatant idiocy with a straight face.

    Fred M. says:

Some these comments are amazing. The ignorance displayed regarding Sarah Palin can only be described as breath taking.

A few facts for you to chew on:

Sarah Palin has been described, accurately, as the second most powerful politician in the United States and “a force or nature” regarding her influence and effect on crowds.

President Obama is terrified of this woman and responds within one or two days to her Facebook posts, with actions!

By the way, the “stupid” charge has been replaced in the American left with “evil genious”. So you should get your insults up to date or at least stop listening to Andrew Sullivan.

You can usually believe what she says at face value. On her Facebook post
she said the trip to the UK was to meet Mrs. Thatcher, period. A meeting with anyone else would probably be a their request and would come about only as a “courtesy”. American politicians desperately try to just get into a picture with her. An actual endorse from her is considered political gold and trumpeted by the recipient as the cash starts rolls in and their poll numbers jump.

If you don’t believe what I’ve told you, then you tell me why American the left gets hysterical at the mere mention of her name. They know the truth.

“They” (anyone on the left and the right who happen to have a reasonable IQ and critical faculties) “know” that there’s a pervasive race to the bottom in the Southern states and has been for some time.

Ignorance, stupidity and zero education are seen as angelic attributes, as are denying logic, denying evidence and insisting the lost side of an argument is virtuous, whatever that argument may have been.

Palin and her irk are indeed incredibly dangerous. Perhaps the ignorance, stupidity and sophistry are but a veneer maintained by “evil genious [sic]“, but aside from possible vectors through which to limit her influence, whether the idiocy is sincere or not is a mere technicality.

Guido chuckled at the following exchange he had with a Tory insider:

Tory: “What’s Labour’s position on the Syria crisis?”

GF: They say you should be talking to Russia.”

Tory: “Labour have been saying that since 1945.”

DisgustedOfMitcham2 says:

Maybe if they really wanted to “decontaminate the Labour brand” with business people, they shouldn’t have totally buggered up the economy?

Just a thought.
