The tories cannot come out with their policies until labour publishes their manifesto or else labour will just copy the tory’s manifesto and then lie about it. That said, the problem is that despite being a few weeks from the election, labour has not written its manifesto yet.

You’re right. I must admit, because of Labours spin, it was quite a while before I realised the difference between the annual deficit and the DEBT. It needs to be said clearly and often.
All they are saying is that the debt will continue increasing and that the rate of increase will only half (in increase terms not percentage of total debt) in 2014.
They are offering NO debt reduction at all.
If the increase is calculated on a compounded basis , it would be even more horrifying as the debt would have grown year on year.
We are in BIG trouble.
Instead of borrowing and then wasting 176 billion more pounds than we earn per year, we will only borrow and waste 88 billion per year more than we earn as a Government.
Halving the deficit, means that the increase in borrowing continues at a slower rate, but it still is an increase in borrowing.
Labour have to CUT expenditure by over 80 Billion pounds annually and you can bet that it will not be their politically correct diversity and climate change officers or the army of state spies that this Fascist government have empowered to enter our homes or the army of health and safety fascists that will be cut. They will slash school places, sack teachers, close hospitals sacking nurses and all the time claim that they are not cutting these places, these are decisions taken by local authorities and that the tories would be cutting further and deeper anyway!

Those of us with 20 years’ IT experience can’t compete, which is why we’re either driving delivery vans for £9 p/h or economically inactive, as opposed to paying £30K+ income tax annually like we were 10 years ago.

I can remember a time when the majority of Labour MPs appeared to be decent honourable men and women.
Since 1997 Labour has become the party of lies, deceit, and dishonour and under Gordon Brown that trend has accelerated significantly. He seems to be a man utterly bereft of honour and honest purpose who craves power at any price for it’s own sake. Power and the thirst to cling on to it at any cost appears to have corrupted Gordon Brown like no other senior politician of my 62 years.

Religion, like all things created by people in a culture, can be used for good or evil, but it is an underpinning element in social cohesion.
My bet is that even the secularist finds it difficult to explain the drama of life and death, good and evil in anything other than very cliched terms.

But the defecit reduction envisaged in the Budget relied on assumptions of 3 – 3.5% growth from 2011 onwards.
Anyone who thinks that industries encumbered by increased NI contributions are going to be in a position to create even 2 – 2.5% growth in those years must be delusional – which of course Darling and Brown are.
The only way we are going to get out of this financial disaster that Labour have landed us in is through private sector growth and very, very deep public sector cuts – if we manage to attain 3 – 3.5% growth, then we may be able to get by with only 18 – 20% cuts in public sector spending, otherwise we will definitely be in 25% territory, perhaps more.
Proposals? Immediate withdrawal of favourable redundancy terms for all public sector workers – they can have the statutory minimum and lump it. Immediate freeze on public sector pension entitlements – they can pay into a sensibly funded money purchase scheme like the rest of us. An immediate cut in the higher pay grades of at least 30% of staff – and the appointment of a small group of utter bastards to vet all new public job advertisements and remove the non-jobs.
This would, of course, lead to a surplus of unemployed diversity coordinators and such, but it’s cheaper to pay them the dole than it is to keep paying them £30K plus and funding overgenerous pensions, so fuck ‘em.
We urgently need a bonfire of the vanity appointments – the overpaid and underskilled who infest our public life.

2) In Stan he lied to the Chilcott enquiry and then had to admit he was wrong.
3) He sold off 400 metric tonnes of OUR gold despite being advised not to do so and lost the taxpayers circa £7 billion pounds in doing so.
4) He has deliberately presided over a party who have unleashed uncontrolled immigration into this country to the detriment of the people of this land,in liebours goal of changing the cultural values of this country.
5)This party of apparakchicks are intent on destroying the identity of this country.
6) This party has clocked up the most unimanageable level of debt that this country has ever seen,the figures are eye watering,45 billion per year in interest alone,and they keep on spending 450 million borrowed each day.
7)Giving many millions to India/China who are on the up and up,absolute madness and did they ask us who they are supposed to be representing no they did not.
8)Turning this country to a stasi like state with people under surveillance like never before.

Gordon Brown plunging the nation into the red is the “single biggest threat” to our prosperity, he said.
The soaring debt must be tackled now for “meaningful” future growth to be possible, Shadow Chancellor Mr Osborne warned.
His call raises the stakes on the PM’s handling of the economy, as Britain still struggles to break free from the longest recession on record.
Labour and the Tories are split on when spending cuts should start. The issue is set to be a major general election battleground.
Mr Osborne said: “There is no choice between going for growth today and dealing with our debts tomorrow.
“Those who say we should simply ignore the markets are siren voices, luring us on to the rocks.”
International investors’ confidence in Britain is being sapped by the Government’s record borrowing, Mr Osborne added.
Three-quarters of what the UK borrows comes from overseas.
Britain’s credit rating could be downgraded as Labour has failed to offer a “credible” repayment plan.
That could leave the nation owing even more to foreign investors as interest rates soar.
In a speech, Mr Osborne said: “A loss of market confidence could force dramatic tax rises and spending cuts that were indeed savage.
“That would represent a dramatic loss of economic sovereignty.”
Action now could help “retain our economic freedom”.
