So Gordon, About Your Dodgy Non-Doms…

Lord Paul put up one fifth of the money for Gordon’s leadership campaign – such as it was. Will he be giving up his seat in the Lords or his non-domicile?  And Ronnie Cohen, PFI profiteer and non-domiciled donor? Is his money still welcome to the Labour Party?

Blimey, I do think it is now going main stream. Lord Paul’s name has been mentioned on Sky and BBC – I wonder why Brown cancelled PMQs.

    Perfect timing by Ashcroft.

Brown cancelled PMQ’s for two reasons. One he is a coward. Two, it means Harriet has yet another opportunity to look as hopeless as she does and means she is less of a challenge to him in any leadership contest after the election.

Who's team is he on? says:

Hailing Tata Steel’s successful take over of Anglo-Dutch steel company Corus, NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul on Wednesday said the acquisition adds prestige to all Indians.

Congratulating Ratan Tata on his vision and foresight, Lord Paul said, “I am sure both parties have a lot to contribute to each other and it will be a very strong combined company.”

Lord Paul, Britain’s Ambassador for Overseas Business, said Tata would enjoy running the Anglo-Dutch company.

“I wish them all the best and great welcome to Tata in the heart of British industry. It adds prestige to all of us Indians,” he said.

          Ta, Labour says:

Sure did, that’s the pity of it.

A cynic might suggest that capturing the order book and bits and bobs of high tech process engineering patents, sugared by carbon credits and then transferring to a lo-cost, environmentally insensitive and non-unionised environment with a supportive local political class, was a possible incentive in an ‘asset stripping exercise’ to the strategic advantage of a foreign power.

But cynicism shows lack of generosity, doesn’t it.

          • Archer Karcher says:

It was two billion and TATA are opening a new steel works in India, to replace the lost tonnage from the Corus closure, with money borrowed from a British Bank too.

The whole sordid saga is buried in the bowels of eureferendum.com worth digging out though, if only to enrage yourself regarding the monumental stupidity and duplicity of this shambolic, corrupt government and indeed, our entire political class, who have said nothing.

          • AC1 says:

You’ll also see TaTa involved in ClimateGate.

The BBC have given a virtual blow job to New Labour, how they attack Ashcroft, but somehow all New Labour’s non-doms (i.e. Lord Paul) are less worse than the Tories. Let’s compare, they are non-doms, they support which party they like, and neing in the Lords they can decide UK laws. So where’s the difference?

On a stag do to Amsterdam we all pilled into the curry house and what they served could only be described as utter shite – at which point our collective intelligence realized that significant asain immigration into Bradford, Hudds, Halifax, Burnley etc had potentially given us the best curry houses in the world (honest, not hyperbole).

Most curry houses sell food that would be unrecognizable to Indians.
Also if any dishes do happen to be authentic, Indians would only eat a small subsection of them, i.e. Parsees would eat only Parsee food, etc.

And a huge percentage of Indians are vegetarian, which you certainly don’t see reflected in the menus, which from a vegetarian point of view are unimaginative in the extreme.

          • I B Seldom-Lucid says:

I agree. Our local curry places drown everything in ghee. They use far too much sugar and salt and far too much chillie – saving on spices. We will only eat in an Asian restaurant that is frequented by Asians.

Bollocks. The smoking ban is about the only good thing to happen in the 13 years of walking disaster that is the Labour government.

Coincidentally, one of my colleagues was saying this morning that her father-in-law is a smoker and every time they go to stay with him they have to wash all their clothes, worn or not, when they get back as they stink of smoke.

Now I’m an anti-smoking nazi. A couple of my work colleagues smoke but apart from them I know hardly anyone else who does.

I still think cheap booze from supermarkets and all day drinking has done more damage to pubs than fags. I don’t smoke and I have never wanted to try but smoking has never offended me. It seems the people who complained in the first place have now had their own way but still don’t visit the pubs. Pubs can be great places to socialise and I can’t see what other venues could transverse the social divide as well as a good pub. ‘Thats News’ the ‘Station’ in Kings Heath having a revamp and keeping it a good local pub not a theme bar! • Anonymous says:

Really, there a 3 key get outs:

            1. You were planning to publish it.
            2. The cost of gathering the data was too much
            3. Prejudice the commercial interests

So do not collect, or allow to be received, any useful information unless it is planned to be published. Do not communicate in a manner that is recorded, always produce bland minutes. Always make subcontractors do all the work and make the choices.

This will ensure that all decisions are made with the least distracting evidence and with the least real consultations. Just what we needed from government.

Why can we not go back to the system of allowing them freedom to do their jobs for 4 or 5 years, and if they seem corrupt, then vote them out. As long as we keep whistle blowers that is all that is necessary.

The expenses came out before the planned published documents.

      Mr Ned says:

The smoking ban is a good idea, however, like everything this government does it was implemented badly and failed to achieve its aims.

IF they want to drastically reduce smoking, then they should ban the sale and smoking of tobacco completely. However the government loves all those lovely taxes that they get in their billions from smokers, so labour daren’t ban smoking entirely.

Instead they allow smoking, but infringe on the law abiding citizen to partake in a legal activity. They should allow smoking in allocated, ventilated and filtered rooms in pubs, so that those who wish to partake in the legal activity of smoking, can do without creating gangs of people creating clouds of smoke outside pubs and restaurants.

        Mr Ned says:

When I was working extensively throughout the EU in 1999, I spent a lot of time in offices in Germany where smoking appeared to be compulsory.

The amazing thing was, I had given up smoking a year earlier, and was hyper-sensitive to smoke. BUT I could not smell any smoke as the air conditioning in these offices was outstanding! I did not smell of smoke, my clothes didn’t smell of smoke and people in these offices were smoking almost constantly.

It IS possible to respect the lawful rights of smokers to participate in a lawful activity AND respect the rights of those who do not wish to be polluted by the fouls stench of tobacco smoke.

Not forgetting that the MP bastards voted an exemption for their own bar in the Commons. One law for……some more equal than others….etc etc.

This smoking ban is entirely political. What isn’t political about it? Pubs are where people meet, associate and especially at the heart of rural (thus in Labour- think ‘class enemy’ strongholds). So forcing pubs to close limits free association, just what the NuLabour arseholes want.

Of course smoking is bad for you. It kills, but that isn’t the point about the smoking ban. The obvious, common sense thing to do is have either smoking or non-smoking pubs (works in Spain) or smoking and non-smoking rooms, worked before in UK -remember smoking lounges?

BTW. In Holland pubs / bars / cafes only ban smoking if the staff / employees are not family members of the owners. This was the core of the EU directive on smoking in bars, occupational health not public health. NuLabour just ramped it up for their own political ends.

Of course it is still welcome. Labour only objects to everyone else getting political donations. The hypocrisy of the Labour Party knows no bounds, the influence of the Unions is far more pernicious.

Lord Ashcroft has not broken any law (as far as I know) with regards to his tax status but of course it would have been better for him to be more open from the start.

Labour will piss and moan but would never do anything to endanger their non-doms or Union money flowing in. At least David Cameron has made a committment to change the rules regarding non doms and Peers.

Lord P*ul owns Caparo, a steel and engineering business, which took over a firm in the West Midlands called Armstrongs. Armstrongs pension fund was in surplus when Caparo took over, but they didn’t maintain the fund. Some ex-Armstrong employees where left with very depleted pensions. Can’t actually remember whether Caparo raided the Armstrong pension fund, but they certainly didn’t add to it, even when the Trustees recommended that they should.

I know for a fact, that that is how the Leader of the House of Commons, Harriet Harman, thought personal pensions worked, ie that the money you pay in is immediately paid out to someone who’s already retired.

          • jgm2 says:

I’m very, very concerned as to what Brown was doing changing the terms of private pension schemes so that you can no longer get a (reduced) pension at 50. In theopry at least the money is there in private schemes. Not as much as one might have hoped thanks to his larceny since 1997 but at least something. So they really should be careful in reading too much into the opinion polls(and although polsters keeping rabbittin’ on about how much they’ve improved if you input rubbish into a machine you inevitably get rubbish out of it)

War is the ultimate evil says:

Rapes always occur in warfare. Officially, the Nazis did not promote rape as a policy. And the Wehrmacht frowned on the practice, as it was bad for discipline. More practical about such things, they preferred to run approved brothels. Mind, many women found themselves forced into this job, but again, not on the scale seen in Japan. (why risk injury to a soldier by a woman seeking revenge, when there were women who would take such jobs voluntarily in order to feed themselves).
The rape of Germany, however, was a totally different matter. It was an officially approved policy, with officers and non coms participating in and encouraging their men to commit the same acts. Gang rapes were the norm. Age was not a factor, with prepubescent children and elderly grandmothers as likely to find themselves raped as any other female. There were numerous deaths as a result of this, though numbers are almost impossible to calculate.

They use the device because having whipped up racial hatred they can then accuse anyone who opposes the war crimes they are guilty of commiting of being anti-semitic and they also use it as a general smear against English and British in the sense that they say “look at Guido’s site and all the anti-semites who inhabit it.” The truth is there are very few people who hold anti-semitic views here on order order and we police ourselves more effectively than any other site when such people appear.

As a case in point the main BBC 1pm News led with the story that there are likely to be almost 250,000 jobs cuts within the public sector and they stressed that applies to WHOEVER wins the election and Labour has taken a massive hit within the West Midlands/Birmingham area over Cadbury and Mandelson’s valueless promise to save jobs??LOL !! In addition there is no sign of the recession ending here with a factory/company announcing closure and lay-offs almost daily with little possibility of finding work in the foreseeable future.

It depends how the marginals vote, I believe. It’s obviously not realistic to apply a uniform swing over the country as a whole. I think 6% would be enough.

As an aside, I think the 6% is probably wrong as well given that some posters here have mentioned being “economical with the truth” when talking to pollsters. In the real world, I’ve yet to speak to anyone who would even think of voting for McDoom.

The biggest difference between Brown and Cameron is Cameron wants you to be able to vote, whereas Brown has spent the last three years going out of his way to ensure you don’t vote on anything.

Whatever touchy-feely shit Cameron comes out with, there really is no contest between the two.

          • And then in five years what? More soggy centerist choices? Five more years of welfarism and eco-shite from Dave, followed by another five from someone else, then someone else?

I’m sick of it. I’m not voting for these fuckers until they give me a good reason to do so. Fuck the tories. If they can’t give me a good reasons to vote for them other than “we’re not gordon”, then fuck them. it’s not enough. I want a proper right wing, individualist party that believes in meritocracy, personal rights, personal responsibility, and Dave’s tories are NOT that party. Not even close.

    • 525

Thank you for your enquiry Mr Maul.

It is however more complex than that. If you have ever lived in the UK and considered it your home then generally we would deem you to be a UK taxpayer and as such, even if you do not now live in our star system we would require you to pay some tax. If you are paying tax elsewhere to a jurisdiction that we have a cross-taxation agreement with then we won’t tax you twice. Otherwise we will. If you reside in the UK for tax purposes by our definition even though you actually think you reside elsewhere then we will definitely tax you and furthermore, cross-taxation agreements not withstanding, we will tax you on all of your earnings wherever those earnings are generated in the galaxy. Sometimes twice or three times depending upon whether you save any money or spend it at the shops. And at rates of up to 50% and marginal rates higher than that. Oh and don’t die either or, irrespective of where you die in the universe, should we deem that you may have thought of the UK at any time as your homeland then we shall of course be taxing you again. Do you still wish to become involved with the UK or would you prefer to leave your business and tax affairs elsewhere for now? Don’t rush to answer as, to be honest, we don’t actually have much of a queue to enter the country just now.

Oh, no problem; maybe see you again sometime.

A law that requires the registered keeper of a vehicle to identify the driver at some point in the past when the surveillance state decided to impose a penalty through technology is no law at all – if the police catch you speeding, then fair enough – they can see who is driving and that’s fine.

      Les Grognards says:

Quite honestly I would think it suits the Tories extremely well the longer Brown “bottles out” on the election decision.

Admittedly it seems that the YouGov data could be seriously flawed and that Kellner’s organisation may have been duped by some of those completing the on-line poll so it’s not definite that Labour are within 2% or would be the largest party or win and Brown being a born ditherer I suspect that uncertainty is enough to make him pause before taking that car journey down The Mall to see HMQ.

The economic situation isn’t going to get any better. He’s due at Chilcot on Friday.Darling is going to give a much-trailed “Austerity & Cuts Budget” against Brown’s wishes(but this near to an election he can’t sack him as it would de-stabilise the markets further),The ONS is due to issue its figures for GDP on April 22/23 which are likely to show the UK dipping back into recession. If the pound continues to nose-dive and gilts look unappealing(effectively the market downgrading the UK’s AAA rating for all practical purposes)interest rates will have to rise.

Brown is never going to get a better chance. The longer he dithers the more it looks like a replay of Novemeber 2007 all over again.

There are three possible tax situations, all legal as long as you declare clearly to HMRC which one you are working by:

Resident and Domiciled – pay UK tax on all income (so that’s most of us).

Resident but Non-Domiciled – pay UK tax on Uk income, and overseas tax on overseas income (that’s Ashcroft, P*ul, Coh*n, etc).

Non-Resident and Non-Domiciled (pay your taxes overseas).

It’s quite legal to make donations to UK political parties whatever your tax status. Currently, it’s legal to be actively involved in UK politics whatever your tax status, though the Tories have said that they’ll change that.

None of the ‘Non-Doms’ have done anything wrong in law.

What the heck are Labour on about in attacking Ashcroft? Their own non-dom donors are in exactly the same boat.

Later, when questioned they will then say but we did mention Lord P*ul – look.

They probably don’t even realise they do it. It’s just so natural to them to trash ‘right-wing’ politicians and they move in a closed left-wing bubble of idiocy that that the thought that three quarters of the electorate are not being represented by this crowd of incompetent jackasses doesn’t even enter their heads.

Engineer you are missing the point, this country does not do the right thing. Instead it does the thing that instils the most fear and uncertainty.

In marketing the tool is called FUD. Fear Uncertainty and Doubt. You do not have to do anything other than highlight an issue. You do not have to say it is wrong. The public are already trained to suspect certain types of people of wrong doing.

Hence why we have police that arrest people for being tall and intimidating (recent case). The brain was not used to find a real reason for the arrest it was just conditioned to know that people like him ARE guilty.

Just like the father taking pictures of HIS child on a toy steam train ride. The security staff are conditioned to treat all males with cameras as deviant.

Just the same way they have been conditioned for the last 13 years that all politicians of a certain background are corrupt. They do not have to accuse anyone, the damage was done ages ago.

This Government has stood behind the equality ideas only so far as they needed them, while creating their necessary evil groupings. Are you large, a smoker, a drinker, a young single mother, a banker, from old money, a youth, all categories that condemn you without any reason to investigate the individual.

They are the most classifying party that have ever existed and have reinvented the ISMs in our society. They are poison. The only hope for the UK is if Cameron sees that his image alone will not swing anything. Bite the bullet and give us something we really want. Even if it hurts. You will recover, as long as the country gives you a chance.

Donations From Non Doms: Labour’s Hypocrisy
    Iain Dale 10:12 AM

The Labour mudslingers are already out in force, so let’s compare and contrast what the Labour Party DOES re non doms, compared to its rhetoric.

Gordon Brown has previously claimed it is ‘a scandal’ that there is not greater transparency on the tax status of party backers. But latest figures show that since 2001, Labour have taken over £10 million from eight reportedly ‘non-dom’ donors:

    • Lord Paul – £69,250 in donations to Labour, including £45,000 to Gordon Brown’s leadership campaign. A close friend of Gordon Brown and appointed to the Privy Council last summer, he has admitted to being ‘non-dom’.
    • Lakshmi Mittal – £4.125 million in donations to Labour.
    • Sir Ronald Cohen – £2.55 million in donations to Labour. Cohen was appointed chair of the Social Investment Taskforce, which was announced by the then Chancellor, Gordon Brown.
    • Sir Christopher Ondaatje – £1.7 million in donations to Labour.
    • Sir Gulam Noon – £532,826 in donations to Labour.
    • William Bollinger – £510,725 in donations to Labour.
    • Mahmoud Khayami – £985,000 in donations to Labour including £5,000 to Hazel Blears’ deputy leadership campaign. He has helped bankroll two flagship schools, one of which Gordon Brown opened, and was personally thanked for a donation by Tony Blair.
    • Dr David Potter – £90,000 in a donation to Labour. He has previously delivered a lecture at Downing Street.

And compare this with the donations from Lord Ashcroft’s Bearwood company…

    • Only one per cent donated by Bearwood this year. In the last calendar year, Bearwood’s donations contribution to the Conservative Party amounts to just one per cent of all donations – £329,859 donated out of £32,508,866 received by the Conservative Party (Electoral Commission register).

    • Less than five per cent donated by Lord Ashcroft and Bearwood since Cameron became leader. Since David Cameron became leader, less than five per cent of cash and in-kind donations have come from Bearwood Corporate Services, a company in which Lord Ashcroft has an interest. Since Q1 2006, Bearwood has donated £4,131,995 in cash and in-kind out of a total £90,723,018 donated to the Conservative Party in the same period (Electoral Commission register).

    • At most 10 per cent of marginal seat funds donated by Bearwood. Of the funds spent in marginal seats, the amount received from Bearwood is no more than 10 per cent at most (Electoral Commission register). The Independent put this at 18% in their Saturday edition, but those who have done the calculations disagree and out it at a maximum of 10%.

The point is that David Cameron has made clear that in future all donations will have to be made by domiciled UK taxpayers. Gordon Brown, so far as I am aware, has made no such commitment. Lord Ashcroft has said he will abide by the new rules. Will Lord Paul and Sir Ronnie Cohen and their friends?

Declaration of interest: Lord Ashcroft is a minority shareholder in my two companies, Biteback Media & Biteback Publishing

It is based on prejudice, the usual official Aristotelian non-science, bossiness, the inability of our governing class to solve any real problems so that they indulge in displacement activities and that gnawing Puritan fear that someone, somewhere might be enjoying themselves.

The Mittal Affair: “Cash for Influence”
    Main article: Mittal Affair

Controversy erupted in 2002 as Plaid MP Adam Price exposed the link between UK prime minister Tony Blair and Mittal in the Mittal Affair, also known as ‘Garbagegate’ or Cash for Influence.[12][13][14] Mittal’s LNM steel company, registered in the Dutch Antilles and maintaining less than 1% of its 100,000 plus workforce in the UK, sought Blair’s aid in its bid to purchase Romania’s state steel industry.[14] The letter from Blair to the Romanian government, a copy of which Price was able to obtain, hinted that the privatisation of the firm and sale to Mittal might help smooth the way for Romania’s entry into the European Union.[12]

The letter had a passage in it removed just prior to Blair’s signing of it, describing Mittal as “a friend.”[15]

BBC top headline at the moment is:

“Lord Ashcroft, one of the Tory party’s biggest donors, admits he does not pay full British tax on all of his earnings.”

That headline is libellous because it’s not just implying fraud, it’s explicitly saying that he’s defrauding the tax man.

What they fail to mention in that headline is that it’s only his foreign earnings which he doesn’t pay uk tax on (which in turn would be subject to foreign tax) – you can’t pay income tax on the same income twice; it needs to be taxed from the relevant country and then considered paid.

What fucking planet are the BBC on trying to say that if you earn money from abroad then you should pay the foreign income tax on it *and then also* pay uk income tax?

tax is paid in one country or the other, not both, you fucking bastards.

Where’s that ZaNew Labour Hunt who keeps coming here claiming Rawnsley never claimed Brown bullied anyone? The dickless troll sent from Millbank to do damage limitation on blogs by using several sock puppets. He said Rawnsley had perfect sources. In that case, read it and week, dickless:

    Andrew Rawnsley’s claim

    Gus O’Donnell

Rawnsley states that the cabinet secretary was so concerned about Brown’s treatment of staff that he had to give Brown a “pep talk”. Rawnsley does not say O’Donnell had to conduct a formal investigation. Instead he said O’Donnell had “made inquiries” into whether a secretary had been turfed out of her chair by Brown for “not typing fast enough”. Rawnsley said: “I do not say he launched some ‘formal inquiry’, which would be an extraordinary thing for the cabinet secretary. I have no evidence of that. I say he made his own investigations and he gave a warning, a verbal warning, to the prime minister about his conduct and I am absolutely confident that happened – 100% sure,” he told Sky News. “I was particularly careful in this area because it’s obviously a very sensitive area to be sure that this wasn’t gossip or hearsay or tittle-tattle. The sources were 24-carat – not third-hand or second-hand – first-hand sources.”

    Gavin Kelly

When informed by Kelly, his deputy chief of staff, that HM Revenue and Customs had lost computer disks containing the personal data of 20 million people, Brown is accused of having “leapt across the room” and “grabbing a startled Kelly by the collar, Brown snarled: ‘They are out to get me.’ ”

The Prime Minister would like to make it absolutely clear that he at no time was the Commandant of a Nazi concentration camp in Poland during the Second World War and he simply does not recognise these allegations made in this book.

          nell says:

That’s OK – give YouGov a day or two and they’ll have managed to find a weighting process that will give that 26 point lead to bullybrown!

Me I’ll trust the punters rather than the pollsters. I thought yesterday, given that the tory lead was according to YG down to 2%, that someone like Betfair would be offering decent odds on the the tories winning, believing as they should have done with that poll result that labour were going to win.

But no the best odds that could be got were tories 1/9 and labour 5/1 or 6/1 I forget. And they were still clearly saying that they believed the tories would form a majority government.

Betting companies put their money where their mouth is and set their odds according to the bets being laid – in most cases many thousands of them.

I’ll be more inclined to believe the polls when the betting companies odds and the pollsters results are more in tune.

There are two polls due out later tonight , one of them a YouGov – be interesting to see what they say!

          • Dave used to have a 26, yes a 26!! point lead and managed to piss it all away says:

Opinion Polls are big business and stand to lose far more than the Bookies of they are wrong.
The Bookies make money no matter who wins.
Bookies only show you where the punter is putting money is going at any given time.
And they have extremely good odds on a hung Parliament.

Poor nell, it must be so frustrating to know that the public thinks Dave is as fucking useless as Brown.

Nobody thinks that YouGov poll is the last word and it’s probably out by a point or two. But it’s blatantly obvious which way every single one of the polls have been going for Dave in the past few months.

Though who do you think gave the 26 point to Dave nell ?
Take your time as the answer might not please you.

          • nell says:

As I said there’s a YG and one other out tonight – let’s see what they say – it will be interesting.

But in truth we need more polls other than YG’s, to get a better view of what is really happening.

Over the last week all we have had is the YG daily poll which is weighted differently to the others.

To get a proper view , you need a broad view . I presume the other pollsters are holding off for a crucial moment – it seems strange to me that there are so few polls about other than YG but they will come over the next 2/3 weeks . It will then be easier to make a judgement on which way public opinion is really going.

I don’t quite agree with your view re the betting companies but well – it will be interesting to make a comparison of the punters and pollsters once the election result is known won’t it?

Suspect it was to spoil a Labour smear op. The Tories knew that the FoI answer is about to be published, so pre-empted it.

But they’d known about publication for a while. Plus it would be obvious that Labour would try to make capital out of it (what party wouldn’t?) But how could something ‘big’ be in the offing when the same accusation could be bounced back?

It’s just weird – or incompetent which, based on the Tory ‘project’ thus far, wouldn’t surprise me.

          • Engineer says:

That’s fair comment – one thing Labour are damn good at is news management (it’s about the only thing they’re good at). They’ve managed to get the BBC to hammer this all day, so the Tory policy announcements (about education) have taken a back seat.

They haven’t fooled all the MSM – I gather ITV covered the Ashcroft thing in passing, but not much. The Labourgraph sees it as positive for the Tories as it ‘shoots Labour’s fox’.

In the end, I suppose it’s one of those inexplicable political spats that matter in the Westminster Village, and bother the rest of the nation not a jot. I’ll lay long odds that 75% of the population don’t know who Ashcroft is, and don’t care.

Labour Labour Labour - Out Out Out! says:

As I have said before this election is Regieme Change – there seem to be a hell of a lot of media manipulation going on at the moment. From polls to comments by friendly Tory posters not being registered in mainstream media.

The media is playing a very dangerous game and at some point there is going to be a backlash. Media are only just more popular than politicians, I think they are in danger of annoying their customers. This talk of Tory problems is all a media invention. I dont see any policy differences and the ridiculous spectical of Labour/LD complaining about a poster with Cameron on really makes me laugh. Do we not remember the posters of Charles Kennedy at the last election or Tony Blair at elections in the past.

The Media are giving Brown a double free pass at the moment on his record and his future plans.
What is Brown going to do in the next 5 years if he won the election? Brown seems to be getting away with that and also not replying to questions on his record. The Conservatives and Cameron have focused on Browns recod but the media are not interested.

I have gone for the documents for a passport today – this country has too many folk who believe Labour spin and even do their work for them. If Brown is re-elected this country is finished. Just look at the currency market today. I do not believe even with the media funny business Brown can win but Labour have a history of electoral shanigans (Postal votes etc). I hear what some folk say about it will be difficult whoever gets in but as always I think I am ahead of the curve in seeing what will happen. What are you talking about Knobhead…”which made all stockbrokers extremely wealthy until recently” how recently is that, New Labour have had 13 years to reform that culture which you pretend to despise but sucked up to it big time, stockbrokers are still extremely wealthy and getting even wealthier now with the new Labour handouts of huge amounts of tax payers and printed money, seen any of it going to the workers?, seen any of it going to protect any jobs in manufacturing?, no it was Labour and Gordon Brown that fell in love with the city with complete disregard for any sensible legislation to hold in check the mad false BOOM!. Dave’s Stockbroker family did earn their money I suspect and that was in the days when £billions were not handed out in bonuses for the mad free for all presided over by Gormless Gordon, And Gormless and his Government are still sitting back and letting the Banks pay their staff huge bonuses when they have been bailed out by YOU socialist DickHEAD.

Not in Labour seats, not in marginal seats, but in safe Conservative seats. And to people who say to me that this modernisation, that this change was just some sort of paint job, I would say this: think of the young black British boy, looking at Parliament, looking at Britain and thinking, “What’s my role? Do I belong? How am I going to get on?” He can look at the Tory party, yes, the Tory party, and he can see Kwasi Kwarteng, Sam Gyimah, Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones, Shaun Bailey, Helen Grant and say, “They’ve got to the top of British politics, I belong here, and so can I”.

“And think about that young Muslim woman, living in Britain, wondering what her role is in modern Britain, who is able to switch on the television and watch, in primetime TV, on Question Time, as Sayeeda Warsi destroyed that ghastly piece of filth, Nick Griffin, and think yes, yes, I belong here, it’s my country too.
