    Tom FD says:

Well, that explains why it took Gordon so long to suspend him. Devine gives Gordon oral.

    • 12
      the terrible says:

What ? and you think Gordon won’t relish the opportunity to slap him down hard?
      Smells like a set up.

Devine is after all, very, very stupid.
I think we established that already with his amazing interview skills.

        Mark Oaten loves your vote.

        Dr Yes says:

But wait. He can be even more stupid.

BOO HOO M and BUST says:

A voter from hull once said he was told by his MP John Prescott that socialism is :if a man bake ten pies and sell them and you dont bake any pies he has more money than you
so he can then use the money to bake twenty pies to sell
but you still dont have any
so a Labour mp doesn’t like the fact that that man over there has lots of pies and you dont have any
so the MP takes ten pies off the man keeps four and gives six to you
the man who bakes pies can then only afford to bake fifteen pies so makes less money
you on the other hand eat all your pies and want some more free pies
eventually the first pie man gets back to baking twenty pies
but in the mean time you have had five children which you can’t possably feed cause you dont make any pies
so the Mp takes fifteen pies off the pie man to give to you leaving the pie man with no money to buy ingredients to make his pies with so he closes his pie shop down and looks to somebody else to feed him !

          • Odds Bodkins says:

Or, to paraphrase Edmund Blackadder, if John Prescott eats any more heartily, he will look like a pie shop.

          • Porker Pickles Bumbling Buffoonery says:

Fatfuck Pickles could eat Prescott AND a Pie shop no problem.

He’d still want seconds after it too.

Dave the EU socialist puppet says:

Why socialism fails: Teacher fails entire class as example

As the late Adrian Rogers said, “you cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”

An economics professor at a local college said that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class.

That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich – a great equaliser.

To counter this, the professor said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”.

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.

The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little, studied even less and those who had previously studied hard, decided they wanted a free ride. So they too studied little.

The second test average was a D!

        No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Couldn’t be any simpler than that.

          You just made that up.

Socialism really works. Just ask……………… Erm,…………………….?

        • 54
          Wayne Trombone says:

Yes – this is fine to say here
          but we need action

the only social system that might come close to working is the capitalist one.

you get what you work for. no handouts.

Labour has run this country into the ground. Thatcher built up a great chance for the place and now, it has been pissed against the wall.

          It is a disgrace.

The place is full of public servants – net added value zero at best – strutting around as if they mean something.
          Fuck them

It is small business that drives growth. And this fucking bitch Government does shit all to help here. What a fucking bunch of Hunts.

I would fire 100 civil servants per day until the pound reaches $1.89 in value.

          No make it 250.

        • 58

        • 64

          Buttplug is right

There are no socialists to ask because there are no socialists in Power here or in America.

Only retards who squawk a word they don’t understand at things they don’t understand because they have the brainpower of a pigeon.

        • 68
          jgm2 says:

Well obviously it’s made up. It’s a fucking fable. It’s explaining a difficult concept in every day language. Language so simple that even the voters of Hull should be able to understand it.

They’ll probably continue to ignore it and re-elect the global-warming guru but at least the folly of their imbecility has been reduced to the point where even they can understand it.

global warming is a socialist hoax says:

Socialism is a method the elites use to control and enslave the masses.

This is why the elites through the undemocratic EU and their puppets push what they claim is socialism and while the usefull idiot lefties line up to enslave us all to such people as the global bankers pulling the strings.

        • 149

          socialist bankers says:

yes the elites are bankers corporate heads and royals, they already own you, you own them money you will never repay, money you never owed them as it happens but our bought politicians made sure it was made your debt.

Now these bankers/royals run the Federal reserve, the IMF etc.

they have controlled much of the world for some time and fought communism for decades as a communist revolution may overthrow them.

But the saw the worth of the communist controls methods that are done in the name of socialism.

The very same people are behind the global warming hoax, this is a fact.

It has nothing to do with wealth redistribution other than making sure it is distrubuted direct to themselfs – green taxes.

Who are some of the loudest voices in the eco loon march – global bankers and royals!

These are the same people that enslaved the third world with unrepayable debt and have sucked off the people with their corrupt usery scemes for decades.

They seek perpetual power and money is just their method of furthering their power, whatever system gives them maximum control is the system they will adopt, socialism or at least socialist control is that system.

previously they controlled the money, now they want to control everything to ensure perpetual power.

Moron. I’ll stoop to your level: -

That class actually believed that capitalism was the way to success. Therefore, the teacher took them all to a desert island with no food and proceeded to eat them one-by-one. Survival of the fittest, innit. Students were most displeased and saw the error of their ways.

And there we have irrefutable proof that… simple explanations are for people incapable of even modestly complex thought.

Can I ask a question please? If the government do sell the port of Dover to the French (the Nord-pas-de-Calais regional council, who own the Calais port) can we expect the immigration camps now in France to be transferred to England and are we ok with that?

Does this mean that Dover will become a French Colony?

What about the right of self determination of the people of Dover? Do they get a vote?

How much of Britain will Brown need to sell to balance the books?

Why can’t he sell off bits of Scotland instead. ( e.g. Fife to the Russians)?

      • 14
        All NeoCons are twats says:

Brown is just following good old fashioned commonsense NeoCon Policies.

Exact same thing Bush did years ago by selling 6 Major U.S. Ports to the Arabs.

        • 38
          no sale says:

Didn’t congress block those sales ? The UAE etc backed down and abandoned the idea.

          • on hold says:

yep the sale is still pending

U.S. President George W. Bush argued vigorously for the approval of the deal, claiming that the delay sends the wrong message to U.S. allies. Legislation was introduced to the United States Congress to delay the sale

Editorial support for the deal came from publications including the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The Economist and commentators including Tony Snow, Thomas Friedman, Rush Limbaugh, former president Jimmy Carter, John Warner, and Bill O’Reilly. In addition Senator John McCain stated he believed Americans “should trust the President on this issue.”

            Obama opposed it.

          • sockpuppet #4 says:

Having looked this up, it appears that “the arabs” did buy the control of those ports, but have since sold it all off to AIG.

        • 41
          sockpuppet #4 says:

Bush didn’t own them of course. In fact, I did (well. about a billionth of them perhaps).

I’ll agree that its an interesting clash of the free market and political-national self interest.

        English Liberation Front says:

“How much of Britain will Brown need to sell to balance the books?”

Brown is a Scot duh! He will sell England to the French as the Scots always wanted to, since at least the time of King Henry II. We were stupid enough to let the Scots take us over in 1997 and they have been shafting us ever since!

        • 88
          Jock McJock says:

Idiot. The Scots took over at the Union of the Crowns in 1603. You invited us.

          • English Liberation Front says:

Yes, we were twats indeed. Elizabeth should have had a damn good rogering to produce an English heir to the throne. James VII of Scotland, who was also James 1 produced Charles 1 who was so far up his own posterior (just like the current Scottish Mentalist) that it led to Civil War. I can see Civil War once more should twat Brown manage to retain his usurped crown!

        Max says:

All the land that is the port of Dover’s will essentially belong to a French local authority; also port land differs legally I think from ordinary real estate. The only reason I am not delving further is because I suspect it won’t happen before the Prime Mentalist is locked away somewhere with only his crayons for company.

        • 28
          Max says:

Of course the port of Dover does have the right to have its own Police force; as I said it is not ordinary real estate. The Police would be handy for directing asylum seekers towards the nearest immigration lawyers and DWP office obviously.

          • sockpuppet #4 says:

No, It wasn’t the US taxpayer, it wasn’t the UK taxpayer. It was a company. And no, I didn’t own the company. Its possible to have a piece of paper that says one owns a small part of a company. I had such a piece of paper, so I owned a small part of the company that was controlling bits of those ports.

Its a tough choice. Too much and he starts giggling and grinning inappropriately and starts turning to the Labour benches and making an aeroplane swoosh gesture over his head with his hand and laughing.
Too little and he starts crying.
      What do you recommend please?
      Yours, Peter Mandelson.
      {registered carer for the Prime Minister}

      Dear Peter,
25ml is the recommend dose but I gather he’s on 165ml already.
I suggest trying to cut him down to 100ml for the session with some Looni-somnul muscle suppressants for the shaking, and a strong sedative after the session, such as Insanaten Plus . Then a couple of mood stabilisers and sleeping pills.

      Yours sincerely,

      • 101
        jgm2 says:

Corruption and greed would be just about tolerable if they were in any way competent.

Nobody would give a shit if these fuckers had their hand in the till for a few quid if we were running budget surpluses while the rest of the world was selling off the family silver dirt cheap just to make the nurses payroll.

We’d all be laughing like drains and filling our boots.

The tragedy is that their conniving and manouvering is only being used to rob us blind. They are incapable of applying the same low cunning with which they so thoroughly scrounge from us to sticking the boot in on our international competitors. Instead they post off tens of billions to wankers in Brussels and kleptomaniacs in Africa and bank*rupt the entire UK with their idiot policies.

      • 219
        Sungei Patani says:

The radical cleansing will come at the election. Many of the current MPs will not be standing again for election.

Those who are standing (e.g. Jacqui Smith or Hazel Blears ) and were economical with the truth on their expenses will answer to the electorate; it will be up to the voters to give them a good kicking. If any survive as MPs you can only blame the electorate who will have missed their opportunity.

Wikapedia profile. Union Man – Psychiatric Nurse – does that say it all??

    He was educated in Bathgate.

Devine served as election agent to Livingston Constituency Labour Party and to the former MP Robin Cook from the 1983 general election until Cook’s death in 2005. He was the Chairman of the Scottish Labour Party 1994-5.

Prior to his election, Devine worked as Head of Health in the Scottish branch of the public sector union UNISON, before which he was a psychiatric nurse, having trained and worked at Bangour Village Hospital in Dechmont.

Unless ‘years served’ counted as ‘qualified’ which – if I remember – my mum told me that is precisely what happened back in the 1970′s or 1980′s.

Ie because there was a shortage of qualified nurses they simply gave those who’d been full-time auxilliaries for x years RGN status.

Even more shocking however was the realisation that he is only 56 years old! The passage of time has not been kind to him – he looks ancient.

Jack Straw made a large appeal to authority as a barrister in the run-up to the Iraq invasion. He claimed that he understood the law and that 1441 and the previous UN resolutions gave all the legal cover required for the invasion.

Problem is, he is NOT an expert in international law and all the lawyers that the government hired said that invading without a second resolution to specifically authorise force would be illegal.

“Today’s guilty verdict will do little to quell suspicions among black and Asian police officers that Ali Dizaei has been the subject of a racist witch hunt.”

I always (blissfully?) thought that senior officials, in the Police and elsewhere, were supposed to conduct themselves so as to be above suspicion. Disaei was watched by MI5, who thought he was an Iranian spy.

“Informed sources said MI5 had based its warning on Dizaei’s association with people from the Iranian embassy and Iranian nationals, his visits to the embassy, and an intercept by the eavesdropping station at GCHQ.”

Apparently Dizaei went out to dinner in his finest Police uniform, and sought to receive free meals in restaurants.

Finally he’s been nabbed for framing someone up. IMO he should have been dismissed for failing to maintain standards of personal conduct, quite apart from the MI5 allegation. I can’t think of any place that I’ve ever worked (in the private sector) that would continue to employ such a compromised individual.

SKY TELEVISION MONTHLY DIRECT DEBIT SUBSCRIPTION INCREASE BY £25 A MONTH

UK Sky TV subscribers are warned by an out of pocket SKY customer that the new computer accounting system at Sky Television is resulting in agreed direct debit dates being totally ignored by Sky TV.

One subscriber who carefully set up her direct debit to fall due on the 28th of the month when her disability and pension payments had been banked and cleared into her account was alarmed to find that SKY TELEVISION had helped themselves 24 days early to the agreed monthly package subscription on the 4th of the month, rather than the agreed date of the 28th.

Unfortunately for Sky the funds were not there before the jointly agreed due date and the direct debit application refused but not before the NATWEST bank customer had been debited £25 for going into an unauthorised overdraft due to the SKY grab.

Why are Cameron/Clegg faffing around with calls for new offences instead of using tried and tested means.
