Euro Results

Euro Vote 09Everyman and his blog is doing an election results service based on, well, mostly watching TV, so Guido won’t bother with that. Very disappointed that Guido’s Libertas vote looks like it went to waste. At the New Ross polling station in Wexford on Friday a neighbour said “it is our job to choose between the liars”. Wise words.

Hoping UKIP beat Labour, very worried that Dan Hannan may have won his bet that Labour will come fifth in his region. Due to Pimms-related intoxication Guido offered him 10/1 odds. Ouch, think it is bedtime for Guido…

Nick Griffin Gordon Brown

UPDATE : Nick Griffin will be thanking Gordon Brown tonight.  He could not have done it without him. Brown has achieved one policy goal, he got a British job for one British worker, the British National Party candidate who is going to Brussels.  Labour MPs should reflect on that, do they fear losing their jobs in an election more than they loathe the BNP.  As long as they keep a Scot who can’t connect with English working class voters as leader, the stronger the BNP becomes.

        Blatant reply to catch your eye.

        Did you see on Sky News- Mark Francois (Con) tearing Glynis Kinnock a new ring piece?

        Still and MEP until 13th July (and claiming salary & pension contributions) – therefore cannot be a Minister of the Crown.
        Therefore on Euro election night – no UK Minister for Europe.

        She wasn’t very good – whilst Francois hijacked the interviewer.

          Don’t attack the voters they say – I say bollocks. I will condemn absolutely the stupid bigots that voted for my Country, the Country I still call home to be represented by the British Nazi Party. Not just at home, fine a couple of stupid Nazis on local councils, but internationally? Giving them £500,000 to spend on promoting hate?

          Those who voted BNP are quite simply stupid thick idiots. I bet most of them do not even know what they voted for. Do they know that they believe in nationalising British Industry and Import Bans? How would a Trade War give anyone a job? Fine if you are a Nazi politician or enforcer.

          I also blame the system, a system designed by Labour for Labour to keep their seats up when the voters want them out. It is a disgrace of a PR system that has the the Greens getting many more votes than Nazis, but the same number of seats.

          Gordon Brown – coming up with the BNP election slogan for them is enough to have result in your resignation. You stupid idiot. If any Labour readers read this – you should be ashamed. You should be ashamed that your leaflets pretty matched those of the Nazis. You should be ashamed that with your pandering the BNP vote went from you to the NAZIs. You all should be ashamed to be Labour.

          In fact this is not Labour. If any Labour MP has half an ounce of what it means to be Labour they need to get rid of him now. The is a prostituted Neo Con version of the Labour Party that deserves as much place in UK politics as the BNP does.

          I will blame the stupid voters and a stupid PM who played every NAZI wolf whistle going.

          Not one of the recent “terror raids” have resulted in an arrest. Yet we still got “terror”, “terror”, “terror”. A PM talking of British jobs for British people. He pretty much said the recession is all the fault of the rich bankers. Every Nazi dog whistle going.

          Gordon, This is not about the BNP gaining two seats you stupid blind hoon. This is about you. People hate you Gordon. For the sake of the Country, Gordon – Please FUCK THE HELL OFF. HOON. Click to Sign.

Fact is though the Liberals are beginning to seriously undermine Labour in the city centres, the Tories have reclaimed North Tyneside, and its only in the drug-addled, crime-ridden ex-mining communities where the scabby dogs with red rosettes get in on the nod, and those are depopulating faster than a plague ship.

        The problem is that there are too many who want rid of the immigrants to garner jobs – especially now there is a recession. This is the same reason the Nazi party got in – they gave people jobs – the autobahns were built under Hitler, at a time of the great depression.

          That the BNP are selling themselves as the only party that has an EU agenda. The conservatives (if Cameron has the balls – and sometimes I wonder if he does – or if he’s just a ‘pretty boy’) are offering a referendum.

          Klato says:

          Some very revealing posts which reflect individual’s preferences and prejudices more than they tell us about the BNP. Griffin is not, by definition, a fascist, nor is he the saviour of the UK as the white van men think. He’s merely a politician who has benefited from the collective failure of the mainstream parties to address a number of issues that concern many people, such as the nature of national identity.

          The emergence of the modern nation state was intertwined with stringent efforts to promote monolingualism; a strategy designed to suppress regionalism, and promote national identity. The lessons for today? Multi-culturalism is culturally enriching, but must be subsumed within the prevailing social fabric if the nation is to survive.

          You can debate whether UK plc should survive as a coherent entity or not, but if you think it should then a lot of what Griffin said (apart from the immigrants / jobs idiocy) makes sense. And just to forestall the usual knee-jerk reactions… I am Jewish, married to a non-British woman, and have a long history of anti-apartheid activity.

Even Polly recognises keeping Brown is untenable. However, that idiot Steve Richards still doesn’t get it.

      FAR-RIGHT BNP GAINS AS VOTERS HUMILIATE GORDON BROWN IN EUROPEAN POLL

      June 08, 2009 Article from: Agence France-Presse http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,24897,25604191-601,00.html

      “EMBATTLED British Prime Minister Gordon Brown faces a new fight for his leadership today after disastrous European election results that saw his Labour Party humiliated and a surge in far-right support.

      The anti-immigration British National Party won its first seats in the European Parliament, while the anti-European United Kingdom Independence Party (Ukip) looked set to win more support than Labour in a national count.

      Ahead of the final results expected later today, the BBC projected Labour would win just 16 per cent of the vote, behind the main opposition Conservatives on 27 per cent and Ukip, which wants Britain out of the EU, on 17 per cent…………….

      ………..However, the EU poll defeat – results of 63 of 72 seats suggest Labour lost seven per cent of the vote and five seats nationwide – combined with the dire outcome of English council elections last week, will be hard to ignore……………………”

    [...] As Guido Fawkes says, Nick Griffin will be thanking Gordon Brown tonight. [...]

      So Labour were definitely soundly beaten in scotland.

      It would seem that being a scot did not help Brown in scotland.

      Let’s face facts.
      The Telegraph and the piggery of MP’s did more to elect the Griffin and his EvaBron than Brown’s nationality.

    And then there’s Griffin’s lot. It’s blindingly obvious that the rise of The Party That Shall Not Be Named is the direct and inevitable consequence of ZaNuLabour’s policies on Europe and immigration.
    Meanwhile, ZaNuLabour mouthpieces witter on about democracy while doing everything in their power to stamp it out. You may not like The Party That Shall Not Be Named (nor do I) but it has every right to exist in a democracy, and at least it listens to the people and understands what they want, which is far more than you could ever say about ZaNuLabour.

      Tempting to go with van man here, but you have given no reason for saying it’s not Brown’s fault. Here are some reasons for saying it is:
      BNP vote is heavily concentrated in former core labour areas, so it is unlikely they have been taking votes from the other main parties;
      Apart from a hard core of genuine fascists, most B-P votes are protest votes. Typically people protest against the Government, not the opposition;
      B-P scored higher in the EU than in local elections, indicating that the problem is to do with national leadership at least as much as general disillusionment with labour.

      Brown’s contribution is viewed by most people here as overwhelmingly negative and destructive in the aggregate. Many of the posters here are retired, like me, having made significant contributions in time and tax over the years, so what we do with our time is our business. For a British Prime Minister to be booed on the beaches of Normandy (the very crucible of real gallantry), by his own countrymen – surely that is a new low point for this man.These were not yobo’s or thugs booing him – these were D Day veteran’s and their families….oh that it has come to this!

        I suppose the question must be;

        What event/situation would make James Gordon Brown think to himself “enough is enough;I must now resign and let a new person do the job”?

      Steady on Stu, the BNP is not a nazi party and never will be, it was formed to stick up for the rights of the native peoples of these islands who have been ignored and forgotten by the major parties.

      The ‘nazi’ smear does the BNPs opponents no favours whatsover because people can see plainly they are not nazis, unlimited third world immigration and a collapse in law and order are genuine concerns because its the poor white/working class majority have to make way for the immigrants who actively hate and despise the UK in areas like jobs and housing etc. How would you feel if you were waiting years for a council house only to be denied one in favour of a recently arrived immigrant family? You see the middle classes dont feel the intense anger and shame of this because they dont require social housing but its a kick in the teeth when it happens to you and your family.

      The middle classes/political classes/parasite classes have not had to deal with the consequences of their multicultural experiment imposed on the UK as usual its the workign classes doing the suffering while the chattering classes benefit.

      Untill and unless the mainstream political elite listen and take notice then the BNP will continue to attract support, spreading childish smears about them being little Adolfs only helps them.

The LPYS was the most successful of the youth sections of the Labour Party in the post war period, at one point having nearly 600 branches and attendances at its national conference of nearly 2000 in the mid 1980s, publishing a monthly newspaper Socialist Youth, during which time it was under the leadership of the Militant Tendency.

    Just heard a car crash of an interview between Griffin and Humphreys on R4 Today programme…the BBC really don’t realise how to handle the BNP issue, not least as its the Labour Party’s misrule in Labour areas that has caused the BNP’s rise.

    There’s no point the BBC and Guardianista types moralising over the BNP, like some guest who has committed a social faux pas, like farting at one of their North London dinner parties.

    The issue is that Labour vote has collapsed in key area. Other parties, some odious like the B£P are filling the void, but people aren’t stupid and have voted that way for a reason. And that reason is that many former natural Labour voters no longer see a connection between themselves and the champagne socialists at Westminster, or how the deluded incompetences and fantasies of Brown can address ordinary people’s problems.

        The Scots mafia needs crushed. It has not served Scotland well (apart from the chummy Jimmy’s on the gravy train) and has wound England up justifiably. I am also in favour of not having Scots MPs voting on English/Welsh matters.

        I think it says a lot that when Westminster is full of Scots (PM, Chancellor, Speaker) and Scots are voting SNP. There isn’t the feeling in Scotland that: “oh the Parliament is full of Scots so they look after our best interests.” We are just as annoyed about them as the English.

        It’s a testament to England’s kindness that there isn’t more ire directed towards Brown’s nationality.

        Also, Guido, what is your opinion on Scottish independence? It would certainly sort out Brown, and perhaps even lead to better relations. One final note, I absolutely don’t see North Sea Oil as some kind of Scottish-only asset. As part of a union, we all help each other out.
