Very funny that it got showed up for being pre-recorded, I expect this was a result of them being embarrassed over the roasting that Beckett and Co got over expenses the over week.

Can’t broadcast the proles getting uppity, now can we?

But tragically: Gordons not going anywhere – here’s why.

The bastard won’t jump (he’s far too fucking arrogant) and he can’t be pushed (the stupid fucking party rules won’t allow it, even if some NuLab MP’s grow a pair).

So, nothing doing, we’re stuck with the bastard. For another year. For fuck’s sake…

I don’t agree, Brown is a dead man walking.

          Et Tu James Purnell

“This moment calls for stronger regulation”

Thank God Purnell has gone. If that is what he believes then good riddance to him and all the others of his ilk. The main worry that I have is that Izza Cameraon will reinforce the 3000+ breaches of our liberty that Labour has legislated through, rather than repeal the vast majority of them.

“Politics: its doesn’t matter who you vote for, the government always gets in.”

Once he’s gone we can work out HOW we’re going to rid ourselves, once and for all, of the Fascist/Fabian feckers who have ruined this country and indeed, the wider world.

BE CAREFUL THOUGH – they’re just waiting for an opportunity to lock us down.

SO WHY WOULD WE REALLY EXPECT HIM TO ACCEPT BEING ELECTED OUT OF IT AGAIN EITHER??

The man is a self deluded megalomaniac. A danger to himself, the Labour Party and most importantly, our precious Country too.

As the results start trickling in, it’s already clear that the longer THE Labour party cower and dither away from finally unseating him, the longer the party will remain in exile from the next election onwards.

Nobody has won the Lottery Jackpot twice, Gordon, so why do you think you will??

Its all beginning to look a little bit July 20th 1944. The bomb went off but the madman survived with just his trousers blown off.

The Valkyrie plotters didn’t move fast enough and ended up on piano wire meat hooks. Even the ones who backed out of the coup {David Miliband?} and the ones who had knowledge but weren’t actively involved. {Ed Miliband?}.

The coup has 12 hours to run or Brown will survive. Getting ever more McMental, paranoid and dragging the country to ruin.

it is not prepared for an election and seems intent on trying to pull a fast one on the electorate. dodgy dave is just a fucking chancer really.
note too tory hq: get your policies together, write a manifesto, explain the manifesto to the voters and then you will be ready for a general election.

The man without emotions is the one to fear.

A world is supported by four things
          the learning of the wise,
          the justice of the great,
the prayers of the righteous and
          the valor of the brave.
But all of these are as nothing without a ruler who knows the art of ruling.

          # A large populace held in check by a small but powerful force is quite a common situation in our universe. And we know the major conditions wherein this large populace may turn upon its keepers: When they find a leader. This is the most volatile threat to the powerful; they must retain control of leaders.
          # When the populace recognizes its chains. Keep the populace blind and unquestioning.
          # When the populace perceives a hope of escape from bondage. They must never even believe that escape is possible!

Hydraulic despotism: central control of an essential energy such as water, electricity, fuel, medicines, melange . . . Obey the central controlling power or the energy is shut off and you die!

    Steady on, ladies and gentlemen.

No UK political party has put forward a credible plan for cutting or freezing government debt, and they must start with ending index-linked public sector pensions, including MPs, in order to appease international investors, and stave off the IMF with its lascerating prescriptions for indebted nations, like the UK.

What if Gordon Brown calls a snap election because he would rather be voted out by the electorate than be assassinated by his own Party? Of course, he will dress it up as for the good of the country, but really, it will be his last spiteful act, and secure his unearned pension. The Labour Party will lose, and anyone else will win a poisoned chalice: a bankrupt country.

Labour, Cons, LapDumbs: learn basic accountancy BEFORE the next election. Debtor nations like the UK wasted 2008 and half of 2009 on petty provincial squabbles. Chop chop. Wake up. The US and the UK are on the edge of bankruptsy. Politicians are paid servants, the hired help. Best get them to do their job: spend our money better, starting with reducing public sector costs, and index linked pensions which the UK cannot afford.

MPs: you first if you pretend to be ‘leaders’, not troughers. Cut your salaries, gold plated pensions and expenses – all of which exceed what the UK spent when it administered an Empire whereas you now only rubber stamp EU law.

That is a warning, not a request, MPs. My little contribution to international relations ;-)

Offensive epithets and profanity are OK, but Guido has to beware, (as do his blog hosts), of possible out and out libel. Both parties would be equally liable.
There are many who would like blogs such as this shut down, so a little understanding regarding moderating is needed.

When Gordon Brown took office at Number 10 he said he would “call upon the better angels of his nature”. It is now time to summon that spirit again, bookend a weak tenure, and – for the good of the Labour Party – step aside and allow the Party to move on.

With Gordon Brown as leader, Labour would almost certainly lose the next election – perhaps so disastrously as to commit the Party to opposition for three terms. With a new leader in charge, that election might still be winnable.

quote of night by mathew parris on sky voice link “gordons certainly more damaged now than he was 1 hour ago” way to go mathew have to manicure that line for olde slime head on sunday .

newsnight spat liam byrne reckons labour are going to get a clip round the ear and its the expenses stupid , shows how out of touch the bunker personnel are , most people are fed up with gordons bogus morality , his lack of answer , and the lisbon treaty denial .

caesars wife has had some sympathy for ken livingstone recently , he had been making the right noises about wonk politics and its burgeoning costs and had almost developed an old labour line , he is however a johnson backer and his sentemtality for labour is misplaced as he still lives its socialist roots as does johnson . but since they handed over to PR execs , banking execs and the dark no10 press office , the labour of ken livinstone is finished in as much as labour have created a society that no longer needs it or cares about it .

to put it bluntly labour have ruined the country and the economy to such an extent that politics cannot be trusted to do what it says , long reflected in voter apathy , as gordons staliist approach to policy has made them irrelevent , but then again communism always does make debate irrelevant .

as news night gets all experimental ,caesars wife was optomistic of a good turnout , but this may be patchy and “cant be bothered” seems to have crept in where the euro elections are being run alone , it may be its the poor wards with low turnout. only 4 counts tonight , rest by 1pm tommorow and euro ones by monday . interesting though no boradcaster is giving exit poll predictions which shows its not quite certain .

reading the politico entrails , purnell must be a milliband supporter or fancies a go him self , but being as purnell is not exactly clean in zanulabour thinking and is very much a man of the current wonk socialism run by PR media savvy types . so we have new, fresh labour reaching for the stars on the back of the hamstrung laboursarus gordontriceritops . caesars wife thinks alan johnson would have got trashed at the dispatch box , but it appears they are trying to raise from the dead phoneyblairism clone warriors.

i look forward to either a brief spell of frightfull unstable stalin cabinet, or wonk new kids labour politics . who would want to go up against cameron in this climate , imagine balls and osbourne dispatch box exchages .

My monies on miliband staying, brown is in no position to stick it on him. If he dumped miliband, miliband will run, and brown will then go. darling i dont know, he’s taken on the few jobs where he’s had to clean up somene elses shit, but he’s always been rewarded for it. if he gets dumped who knows.

These election results will be brushed aside, as protest. the clue will be how badly the tories have been damaged by the expense scandel. if they are damaged at all, brown will stay. if the tories hold up, well maybe,
There must be some economy indicators starting to show shortly, if brown gets even a hint a recovery is on the way it’s going to take a fucking corkscrew to get him out of there. He’s got faults, big ones, but quitting isn’t one of them, i only wish to fuck it was

We have lots and lots more fun and games to come spilling out from those folks, not to mention all the new rebels following Purnell’s example.

What an absolutley dire state of affairs.

Watching Brillo and Co this evening a number of things have really stood out.

Regardless now of whether school-boy Miliband goes or not Gordon has been terminally damaged. Either smacked down by his cabinet or too weak to move them.

Another thing, in the furious briefings against Purnell, including Liem ‘I want to be Home Secretary’ Byrne’s performance, the dire state of briefing against the ‘opposition’ has come to light.

He has, as far as I can see, done anything so badly wrong – he has acted according to his insight and called for the Prime Minister to go. Under a normal premiership, challenges such as these would not be seen as entirely damaging, a chance to renew the Prime Minister’s mandate…

If Parliament won’t do it, maybe we should have a try:

Required, 2 pyschiatrists and an approved social worker, will get plenty of public attention and the reward of a grateful nation. Come on then, where are you?

“In order for someone to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital without his or her consent, an assessment under the Mental Health Act 1983 has to take place. Normally a social worker and two doctors make such an assessment. The social worker has to be an Approved Social Worker (ASW), so called because they have received special additional training in relation to mental health legislation and are formally approved by the local authority to act in this capacity. At least one of the doctors will also have received special additional training and the other one will usually know the person who is being assessed – often it is their GP.

During the assessment the ASW and the doctors will interview the person who is being assessed and also speak to any carers, relatives and others who are closely involved in the person’s life. The law gives particular rights to the person’s ‘Nearest Relative’ but this is not always the same person as their ‘Next of kin’. The ASW will explain this and any implications at some stage during the assessment.
    What happens after the assessment?

When the ASW and the doctors have assessed the situation they will decide together whether the person they have seen has a mental disorder. They will then decide if the person needs to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital in the interests of his or her health and safety or to protect other people.

If an admission to hospital is necessary and, the person agrees to this, a voluntary admission will be arranged. If the person does not consent the ASW will make an application for detention to the hospital and will arrange admission. “

    Wholly, necessarily and exclusively says:

Guido – this is probably the moment we should pay tribute to what you achieved earlier in the year.

Watching the msm coverage of Purnell has been heartening because it’s clear that the political correspondents are doing their jobs much more resolutely than they were 6 months ago. The ability of party leaders’ offices – all of them – to dictate the pace and force the coverage has been diminshed to the point where they’ve got to earn their column inches and airtime and they’re all finding it a struggle. Brilliant.

The supine copy-taking from the MSM have we had since 1997 has been exposed for the cosy and toxic conspiracy that it was and the signs of proper political reporting are beginning to reappear after 12 years or so; Sky, for instance has just pointed out that the No 10 drones have been too bluntly coordinated – unthinkable reporting compared with a year ago.

There’s a good way to go – the BBC is looking increasingly interrogable as to what on earth they’ve been doing and the Westminster back briefing is still going on, but at least we can see that clearly now, and reporters are starting to reflect their sources much more honestly.

The game is back on and the general election cannot now be conducted according to the parties’ agenda.

    Thank you.

Nope we’re stuck with him sadly.

      Scorched Earth says:

No. The MP’s first trigger it with the 70.
And that doesn’t look impossible but it’s by no means certain.

Here’s a quick recap courtesy of The Times…

“Any nomination to replace the leader when Labour is in government must be supported by 20 per cent of the 350 MPs in the Parliamentary Labour Party.

Whether to have a contest must then be decided, on a card vote, by a conference of the party

Party chiefs might decide that they have to arrange a conference anyway if a nominee received anything like the required number because it would deal such a blow to the leader’s authority.

In that event, Gordon Brown would probably walk away to avoid the embarrassment of being brought down by conference. However, the unions, which have the majority of votes at conference, might step in to save him. Some union leaders have expressed disgust at the spectacle of MPs trying to bring down their leader so soon after he took over.

If Mr Brown were to be forced out over the coming days, it is likely that he would, like Tony Blair, stay on as Prime Minister until a new leader was elected. If he decided to go without waiting for an election, the Cabinet, in consultation with Labour’s ruling National Executive Committee, would appoint one of its members to serve as leader until a ballot was held. Harriet Harman as deputy leader is the obvious candidate but someone of the seniority of Jack Straw or Alistair Darling might be considered more appropriate.”

I am aware of why the EU results are delayed but can anyone tell me why the local election results are also delayed

A rapid count and declaration of results is usually to reassure voters that there is no room for fraud.

      With nothing to say.
She left morning TV to look after her father.
Sadly, perhaps the condition is genetic so I’ll give her the benefit of doubt again.

Dawn Primalaro after the crushing defeat in Bristol

“But from speaking to people on the doorstep, as I have, it’s quite clear that people are saying we’ve got a Prime Minister who’s got strength, determination and intelligence and Gordon Brown will lead us out of this recession”.

Why oh why do they do this. We know they are lying totally and absolutely. These Labour scum are hated here and no one I know supports them and Brown is loathed with a passion.

I just hate it when a Labour apologist knowing lying start their sentence with

“What the people want ” or ” what the people say ”

and my particular pet hate is < "what the people want is for me to get on with my / the / our job which we were elected to do" which they fucking were not and they know it.
