Max Clifford says…
“Most people want to read nasty things about people, not nice things.”

Maybe if they really wanted to “decontaminate the Labour brand” with business people, they shouldn’t have totally buggered up the economy?
Just a thought.

Hence the expression “ducking and diving”.
You realise of course the Ducks didn’t even enjoy Viggers duck house.
Apparently his pond was too tiny for the poor creatures to enjoy their abode.
Fucking cheapskate.
Trying to overcompensate his for tiny little pond with a £1600 duck house.
No class at all.
acording to sky news his duckhouse is now at his home in france surely this is theft by this scumbag?
I thought the Fees Office turned down his request for payment for the Duck House.
Why let the truth get in the way of a good story?
Brown’s B C …..
….. you can always change your name to Biased B C
So why did Cameron tell him to sod off after the election ?
coz he’s a twat irrespective of any duck house
Just a thought though? can you flip a duck house? Just wondering?
Can you dlip a >>>> house?
just like you then.
you’ve got no class either.
thick as thieves, how good to see you again. Not.
I am not here to please or entertain you.
you fucking tory retard.
You call that a comeback Thick as Pigshit. “just like you then”
Christ, you really are some twatty little kid using their mummys laptop.
Will you now start blubbing you’re a juvenile and we musn’t pick on you ?
A twatty little troll like you starts behaving like a little kid when someone calls you out for being a clueless hilarious embarrassment.
That’s the very definition of no class.
Now be a good little twat and fuck off.
Excuse me Guido – Nobody has asked but where is number one ?
Who is number one?
YOU are number 6. I am number 2.
I will also be replaced as number 2 by another actor in due course.
I am not a number – I am a free woman.
(damn – fell for it again – I am, indeed, just another of Guido’s numbers…..sigh)
However, there is an element of surprise to this numerical slavery – I don’t know what that number is till I press ‘submit comment’ – how exciting! (presses sub…..
I am number 1.
I am No 99
fair enough, 99.
TaT – we all know by know that you’re not No. 1 – you’re a great steaming pile of number 2s.
Nice to see you’re favouring us with your erudition again.
thick as thieves is number 1 motherfucker.
hold on…your obsession with faeces hmm…. ofcourse! you are mark oaten and I claim my five pounds. actually mark you can keep your fiver, it’s covered in shit you dirty rimmer.
oh and it is worth noting that the great thick as thieves features exclusively on order-order.com
you lucky c’unts.
No number 2 – you are as delusional as the MP’s – you are number 8.
I think No.1 must have done something really scandalous to have been banished off the blog – I just wonder what it was?
Please get it right.
We are number 6.
Brown is an unflushed number 2.
He used to live at number 11.
But got himself appointed to the new number 10.
He is now pretending to be number 1.
Soon to become number zero.
I am not a number.
I’m Freeman too.
Who’s on 1st base.
Maybe it was a pathetic, brain dead ‘Im First’ type of comment – which get very tiresome very quickly…
What’s the problem, I can see Number 1, It’s from me…..
Something very wrong is going on.
No 1 (Subrosa) is hiding down the page in no.13. This is a mystery as No.1. posted at 5.02am on a thread that was launched at 8.05am. and no.13 posted sometime after that!!!
Guido is this a find the needle in the haystack sort of competition?
No.1.Subrosa come out and explain yourself..
And these have no numbers at all???
See under 13
Really this is no duck house it is a monumental folly which wouold have appeared in Pevsner
FORMER telly star Robert Kilroy-Silk, 67, is one of the WORST Euro MPs in Britain, a report claims today.
The ex-chatshow host comes joint second from bottom in a survey based on MEPs voting for transparency and reform in Brussels – including lifting the lid on expenses.
Worst MEPs:
1. David Sumberg, Tory, ten points
2. John Whittaker, UKIP 11
3. Robert Kilroy-Silk, former UKIP 11
4. Trevor Colman, UKIP 13
5. Jonathan Evans, Tory 14
6. Godfrey Bloom, UKIP 19
7. Giles Chichester, UKIP 19
8. Nirj Deva, Tory, 21
9. Roger Knapman, UKIP 22
10. Nigel Farage, UKIP 23

He was also one of the worst TV Prersenters ever.
“To share, or to shaft?”
To sha?
RED ALERT!
Deploy the Millepede.
Completely O/T I’m afraid but I went over to LabourLost & read some of the items & the comments. Someone on there defending JackBoots Schmidt & her lies about the Information Commissioner having any control over the ANPR data – ‘Jacqui is a thinker’ (did he mean ‘stinker’?). No, Second Home Secretary & Minister for Porn Herr Spliff is just a liar – through & through – lies about her second home, lies about who watched the porn, lies about who has any control over her Stasi fantasies.
Yus, M’Dear
Loving Postman Twat calling for a referendum on PR – does he think Gordon will win the next election? Fuzzy duck. 12 years too late prapps.
He thinks the mad panic of attention diverting reforms that will inevitably follow Labours Euro and Local disaster will not be enough to placate a still furious public.
So they might even be desperate enough to try and introduce some form of PR legislation or even a referendum before the next Election.
Who knows what lengths a cornered and panicking Brown will go to ?
Six feet vertically?
Why reform the system when you can claim £125,000 over a number of years for your garage.
http://www.rotherhamadvertiser.co.uk/News.aspx?id=8987
He’s so fucking desperate he’ll even consider bringing back Frank Dobson at this rate. He’s already had Bliar back in for ‘advice’, the sad sack.
He’s so fucking desperate he’ll even consider bringing back Frank Dobson at this rate. He’s already had Bliar back in for ‘advice’, the sad sack.
Bloody Hell!!! God. Brown must be desperate. “Hello, Tony, it’s me… Gordon. I… we used… to… Yes, James Gordon Brown is my full name. No, well… I… was wondering if you might come round for beer and sandwiches, umm, no, I mean Chianti and Paninis. I need to ask you a favour. PLEASE! Please stop laughing at me!”
Purlease not Dobbo the House Elf!
McTwat & Co are thinking that introducing PR will at least get them some votes and may get a few of them back into the trough. First past the post will annihilate them.
Surely they will need to introduce EMDR (EVEN-MORE-DISPROPORTIONAL-REPRESENTATION) to win more seats, since their share of MPs is higher than their share of the national vote at the last election
indeed grobdj says
36% of vote, over half the seats. Soon all the constituencies where a big slice of the electorate is on benefit can help labour to attain a majority forever. Don’t be fooled by opinion polls. Those on benefit will vote for their wallet, no matter how upset with and envious about mp expsenses they are. And don’t forget that labour is postal votes champion, unfortunately if i may say so.
The strategy may bite them on the ass. In Scotland the voters have quickly understood the voting system – though some are thick enough not to read the instructions. They know how to get the result they want, and will punish Labour all the more if given a chance. There is no reason to suppose that in a country like the UK as a whole, the balance of power will be centre left. I have long felt the UK is more like Switzerland in that there is a right of centre, “traditional” balance. Fragmenting parties may well lead to an extreme right wing party ( anti EU, anti Immigrant ), a Christian socialist party, A social democratic party and a sizeable hard left party. Coalition would be inevitable, but it would not inevitably have a centre left bias.
Labour would be smarter not to chew that particular cyanide pill just yet.
Christian Democrat, not socialist. Sorry.
Scautsmen are naut thick. We want independence nooo.
But as you point out they are losing their traditional scottish heartland and stronghold fast. They had taken this mass block vote for granted for decades and are now paying the price. Today’s voters are nowhere near as tribal as the old days.
And if, as most people think, there will be a cull of the total number of MP’s in the new reforms then it dilutes even that diminshing voter block in scotland the heaviest. Labour are fast approaching a scenario where First Past the Post could easily lock them out for at least a decade or more thanks to their blithering idiocy, incompetence and their appallingly poor poll ratings.
scotland may get independence quicker than they think now theyve fucked up our country they’ll all go home and fuck up yours after all any trough in a storm!
I noticed the Scots rebuilding Hadrian’s Wall. They are frantically trying to prevent all the Scottish MPs in Westminster from returning home.
Cornered rats usually bite & spread their diseases. H’mm – sounds just about right for Gordon. With 63K + signatures asking him to resign, almost 5K calling for a GE, 1,446 & 217 respectively on the two petitions asking the Queen to dissolve Parliament & a new petition asking the Met & CPS to investigate MPs for fraudulent expense claims isn’t it about time he actually did something instead of his normal dithering? Can’t think why he called the Torys the ‘Do Nothing Party’ – surely he’s the Do Nothing PM?
I wonder which of the many forms of proportional representation, all producing different outcomes, Ambitious Al would recommend for tackling ministerial porn claims, or ministerial claims for accountants to do their tax returns, or flipping or all the other things that are the real problem ministers should be looking at.
Don’t you think the PR issue has more to do with allowing some Labour MP’s to still get into Westminster without deselecting the sitting candidate?
Stronghold – absolutely yes. Had they honoured their agreement with Paddy thru the Jenkins commission – I’d have whinged about it, been quite bloody angry about it but would have happily accepted it as that’s what elections, majorities and mandates are for. Perhaps Iraq wouldn’t have happened.
I don’t much mind PR – especially as I don’t much mind the Glib Dumps but to talk about electoral reform after 12 years of traducing Parliament & the country – to speak of it now just to keep their noses in the trough is disgusting.
They can put it in their manifesto – bit like a referendum on Europe – ‘Nurse, nurse – my medicine quick’.
The sheer disgrace of this administration is remarkable. If I was unemployed now – with the prospect of another year of Labour – I’d go fucking native.
Well Johnson is talking about “alternative vote plus” Under Alternative Vote Plus, there would be two ballot papers: the first for the locally-elected MP where voters rank candidates in order of preference and the second for selecting a political party. Doesn’t that sound simple ? Or does it sound remarkably like the system that caused chaos in recent Scottish Elections ?
And he’s talking about a referendum on the same day as the Election, though make no mistake, Proportional Representation IS being considered by some of those in the Labour hierarchy.
You would think they certainly couldn’t legislate on it before the next Election without it on the manifesto, except as you point it hasn’t stopped them before with something as crucial as a War and other Policies like Europe Referendum and Student Fees.
Like I said do not underestimate what a calamitous Euro and Local Election result might drive Brown to do under the guise of a “much needed total reform of Politics” package.
He doesn’t understand. We don’t want reform. We want prosecutions, resignations and sackings and then the chance to vote the rest of these criminals out of office.
Reform can come later with a clean parliament.
He must think we’re idiots – his reform will simply be a way to keep as many of this corrupt tainted bunch in power. We don’t want it. We want the police to do their job first and then we want an election in the early Autumn.
I’ll second that.
I’ll 3rd that!
I will Forth that
Nell, and perhaps the odd suicide.
It is in the manifesto!
The met should be doing a lot of door knocking and interviewing
If it then proves that the CPS is unfit for purpose maybe we can clear them out too
just let me have the first address please sir
Yes we want prosecutions not reform. Reform should be done by the (new) decent. Meanwhile Brown and Cameron drag their heels and are not even getting rid of the most obvious ones. Take the joint KIRKBRIDE/MACKAY CONSPIRACY to defraud. Either they are both innocent or they are both guilty.
One cannot be innocent and the other guilty. Wake up Cameron and stop ptotecting Kirkbride.
The nonsense spouted by Dorries that the ACA was an ‘additional (albeit tax-free) allowance’ that was to be spent as seen fit doesn’t hold water.
1. If this was true everyone would claim the allowance to the penny.
2. If this was true, why would inner London MPs be ‘paid’ less.
The Green Book specifically states that acceptable costs are for the sole purpose of conducting business.
As a small business owner, I have been told in no uncertain circumstances are household expenses to even be considered. All ‘perks’ I get are taxed as a benefit in kind. Why aren’t the MPs?
It is particularly gut wrenching that it is exactly my kind of business that HMRC probe regularly and aggressively, yet MPs seem to be exempt from exactly the same tax rules as the rest of the country.
Who made that rule up???
yes, and I want hangings – lots of hangings. Using the *short* (very short) drop method, of couse.
hear hear
I once worked for a government-funded experimental scheme. We were told that we should claim for anything, even non-work related, “so long as you have a receipt. It’s a way of maing up the pathetic wages you are paid. And it’s government money, anyway.”
There There
Absolutely agree. Then we want prosecutions for bankers who defrauded their banks for millions and then had the cheek to get the people of this country to replenish their banks coffers while the aforesaid bankers stash their ill gotten gains away. There is a clause in the banking law which clearly states that bonuses received through ponzi type scams such as CDO’s and CDS’s MUST BE PAID BACK TO THE BANK !!!!!
If the bankers were forced to pay it back, McStalin wouldn’t have the excuse to defraud the paypayer of millions of pounds, the country would not be so indebted and our children will not have the banker’s debts around their necks. Instead we have the farce of criminal bankers coming back for more bonuses and payoffs. Which are again illegal !!! Fred the Shred’s pay off should only have been £14,000 his bank was BANKCRUPT after all !!!.
So where are the criminal prosecutions for the banks? The politicians should be pushing for them other they are guilty of MALFEASANCE !!!!!!!
Where are the honest Police, the honest Lawyers and judges?
These banksters of bankrupt banks where politically very well connected to the scottish labour party…
Socialists always run the country for their own ends, not the people as a whole.
Here’s what SHOULD have happened with capitalism.
1/ These banks put into administration (government seizes assets).
2/ Pay Depositors 100% (only) by printing money (as the bond holder losses etc are deflationary)
3/ Transfer accounts to another bank.
4/ Government sells of assets for best prices over long term to refund itself then bond holders.
now now, cripples, show some respect for your betters.
you are ofcourse talking about Alan Johnson, the soon to be leader of the Labour Party, and, by default, of the country.
and so let us face the facts: Alan is a far more honest person than dave ‘the millionaire housing benefit claimant’ cameron.
david has entered public life to screw the taxpayer for every penny he can; he is not a public servant, he is a millionaire benefit scrounger.
Alan Johnson on the other hand is an honest and straightforward fellow.
dave is not fit to be PM, Johnson is.
simple really, innit.
Oh do cock off TaT – time for your nap.
Piss off back to CBeebies little twat.
Anyone who bleats that we should stop picking on him because he is a “juvenile” shouldn’t be on an adult Political site.
It’s sweet that you managed to work out how to use mummy and daddy’s PC but they will be back soon to make you a nice bowl of Jelly.
But people do love laughing at your embarrassing twattery.
So keep it up as we all like a bit of clueless comic relief.
You’re parroting the same stuff Thick as Pigshit.
So you won’t mind if I do the same.
Electoral system flipping? Nice idea!
Can’t see the Ducking Stool
Should really have the other Duck saying “I’m voting Verikwak” a frog popping up saying “I’m voting Green” and a spodeish looking uniformed weasel in the rushes saying “BN P for me”.
And the rotting bloated corpses of the 3 main Parties sinking neath the waves.
I’m voting UKWACK to make Britain into Tracy Island again
Yep, Bertie would just love that…….
Fred, you don’t get many bonuses for being a cartoonist, especially Guido’s .
The Balls get a bit of unwanted publicity in the Mail this morning.
I know this will cheer some of you up, so here is the link.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1187122/The-6-2m-Scandal-MPs-taking-taxpayers-ride-extortionate-travel-expenses.html
“They received £1.9million in petrol money alone in 2007-08, as well as £2.2million on train tickets and nearly £900,000 on air fares. ”
Oh please don’t stop us doing this we implore you. If you prevent us in our grasping ways with this little scam, the consequence will be fewer airport users, lower fuel turnover at the pumps, more room on the trains, all of which will add up to the same operators costs being spread amongst fewer travelers, you tax payers. So, trust us politicians, by us claiming and facing all this scrutiny, our contribution is helping reduce your direct travel costs. We really are helping the economy.
Seems like Balls tried to charge us for his remembrance day wreath aswell as everything else. Another piece of news that will no doubt be buried and forgotten (unkike the tory MP who charged us for his wreath – he was headline news……strange isn’t it?).
So why are the press still protecting the cabinet? Do they fear anarchy and total meltdown?
Really how revolting, just imagine a a Gordo and co melted down yuk
they are not protecting the cabinet at all. think about it.
elections comming up, the tories are being got out of the way, so I wonder who the attention will be on in the week running up to the actual vote…
I am not certain charging for a wreath is a bad thing. After all, then it is funded by taxpayers, so we all have a part of that wreath. If you see what I mean.
Gosh. I have gone soft in my old age!
Balls and Yvette claiming £30,000 a year on travelling expenses? I am no Einstein but I think that works out to about £600 a week. This pair of troughers are really taking the piss. I suppose they dont need receipts for this either, this pair should be answering questions down the local nick.
Quick calculation – 400 mile round trip London to Yorks @ 40p per mile = £160/wk x 52wks = £8320pa.
Where’s the other £22k gone?
@Half eyed Scottish idiot says
Where’s the other £22k gone?
That probably went on paying for the bl**dy car !!!!!!!
Half eyed Scottish idiot – you are being way too generous with your calculations. There is no way these despicable, thieving scumbags are trsvelling to and from parliament for 52 weeks a year considering the generous holidays they get.
More to the point is that they are both Ministers and therefore get government cars provided. Not all the time but a lot of it.
£73 * 52 * 4 = £30 525
and
– by a longstanding quiet agreement with the airport parking companies – they -ie all MP’s -get FREE airport parking with no upper limit.
last time I parked at Gatwick it was £118.78 for 12 days
nice for ‘em.
Benefit in kind – i.e. taxable.
I am sure Downing Street, not the Fees Office, will contradict the tax legislation that covers eveyone else!
The real Balls up was his “so what” claim for Remembrance wreaths, hidden in tow sentences toward the bottom of the DT’s main story. A similar claim from Tory James Gray was sufficient to provoke calls for instant dismissal.
Who’s going to shout “Howzat?” for Balls?
I regret to say that Balls may be in the clear on the Wreath claims. However, he is such an obnoxious turd that I say we should nail it on him anyway.
‘It doesn’t add up’ – couldn’t agree more. See above……..
lbw hits middle and off stump
never mind buying wreaths buy our troops some fucking bullets that actually work instead of the fucking cheap american crap that dont !
ive never seen a pair of balls that needed a bigger kicking!
It’s okay – he released a statement blaming one of his office staff.
Nothing like taking responsibility.
Yep, nothing like it.
it like nothing yep.
Finish strange Yoda here has!
Yes, this cheered me up no end – 3 flips in two years, astronomical so-called travel claim, poppy wreaths for the fallen stuffed on expenses……I find it almost impossible to describe what I think of these people. For the time being I shall have to revert to ‘parasitic bastards’ although I readily accept that this does a grave disservice to both parasites and bastards.
Couldn’t agree more. I hope with all of my heart that these lowlife maggots get what is coming to them sooner rather than later.
I saw with interest that the porn king of Redditch Richard Timney received an Apple ipod phone costing £240 from his leading lady Jacqui Smiths expenses.
I was surfing for good educational materila when a go ogle image search for “nadine dorries” turned up this
http://www.dollymix.tv/sharpen%20cherie4-thumb-190×145.gif
Be careful on the interweb as there are some very disturbing images out there!
Just goes to prove that George Orwell was right.
The Pigs (troughers) think they are better than the rest of us.
Balls and Balls are probably the nastiest, most devious, slimy examples of Orwellian Pigs.
I would not give either of them control over the tea money in the real world. Hopefully they will soon both discover that they are unemployable.
Justice will have its day!!!
Wintertons.
Is it not illegal to charge travel expenses to the taxpayer for CHILDREN ?
These are personal expenses not constituency or MP’s expenses
Otherwise why not charge the school fees and send the blighters to a Nu Labour boarding school as well ?
And I suppose their huge “food expenses” are to pay for the baby balls food..
And these two individuals are paid top whack as Cabinet Ministers
What do they do with their salaries ?
all in Monaco. we should investigate.
Cor, what a vile picture of Balls & the LadyBoy – is it their inner ugliness showing through? He looks like Hitler on a bad day & she looks as though her nose has been broken a few times.
Come along quietly now.
We’re sending you to an Alcatraz kind of environment.
There will be around 640 in the whole flocking lot of the them.
Of course that could explain the Strawmans interest in mega prisons
the house of lords should start calling each other MA lard!
You are still running a Sunday Sleaze entry. Shouldn’t it now be Daily Sleaze?
yes
The way this is running it could be on the hour sleaze.
Hmmm, crispy shredded politican.
Could be long pig
I’m all for that if it’s hung long enough.
rename the riverside bar in the H of C THE PIG and DUCK
Ah…some of them are at the car mileage expenses as well
Janet Anderson must never find time to be at Westminster. If the Mail’s figures are true she’s driving an average of 200 miles every working day! As traffic speeds in London are 8mph that’s 24 hours day behind the wheel if she stays in the capital
I am sure its a mistake or there is a rational explanation
She uses her car as her office and her second home and claims for both.
…or (gasp!) she has been claiming for miles never covered. Easy solution – I invite her to publish the following info:
1. Purchase invoice(s) for car(s) for the period in question
2. Service and repair invoices for car(s)
I’m sure the ‘court of public opinion’ (if we can’t get her into a real one) will be able to make the calculations in fairly short order.

Jackie Ashley
guardian.co.uk, Sunday 24 May 2009 21.10 BST
“How has frugal, quiet Gordon Brown – nobody’s idea of a high roller – found himself so utterly outplayed by the rich boys?”
Frugal? possibly with his own money, but Brown is the ultimate reckless spend thrift with others
“Quiet Gordon Brown” ???? Who is this stupid woman, the man hasnt reached the highest office throw being quiet. In fact the opposite. Flying Nokias attest to this !
She is a daughter of the Labour Life Peer, Lord Ashley of Stoke. She is also Mrs Andrew Marr.
Mrs Marrslicker to you.
Lord Ashley is a fraud. Lord! what hypocrisy!
Outrageous and shameless anti Tory bias.
The Guardian should carry a health warning.
I suppose the Guardian is assuming that its readership consists entirely of selfish public sector workers determined to keep their jobs and pensions, even if it destroys the Country in the process.
Are Guardian readers really that deluded?
err…yes
Yes.
Jackie Ashley is clearly losing what’s left of her mind.
But for real care-in-the-community-style delusion read Mrs. Sting’s article.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/may/21/trudie-styler-environment-response?showCommentBox=true
Each year I fly thousands of miles to campaign for environmental change.
First class no doubt. She doesn’t see the irony of that statement.
What a pseud.
“Comments are now closed” I’ll bet they are. Fake green! Why not fix the eco-problems in Britain first? No? You see (for example) Welsh people suffering from the effects of coal mining, or steel working, or slate mining are not as ‘cute’ as people in far away countries in loincloths.
LOOK DUCK & VANISH
Reminds me of the home guard!
Feathering their own nests with “down” payments.
Mortgage of 2nd homes paid.
Avoidance of Quackital Gains Tax
I say we need a new “bill” in parliament.
Permission to fetch the old blunderbuss Capn Mannering?
They’ll be dropping out of the sky like Gerry.
They don’t like it up ‘em!
Jones, we’re doomed, we’re McDoomed.
If we put all our money in a floating duck-house, can we claim that it’s in an off-shore account ?
I like that one anonymous. Suits my sense of humour.
How do you get to be No. 1 down here?
consider yourself under investigation..
Ta. And feathers in return.
You can try but every duck I’ve seen has always had a bill.
And….the Revenue will insist on a down payment…
Can you do it via their website?
Good article in The Register yesterday, about the police and a bit about politicians.
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/05/24/breaking_the_law/
After my meeting with my old chum Tony Blair on Friday we decided to roll-out after just 12-years in office another mind-boggling initiative called a “National Plan for Britain”. (No, before you ask we didn’t have a Plan for Britain before).
We are going to invade Britain at 75p per mile travel expenses on the pretence that the UK is illegally in possession of WMD’s (World Movement for Democracy) and claim it back for the people of Poland, British jobs for British Labour voters and all that.
We will immediately restore democracy with the intent to hold free Elections by 2075 and set up a Government of National Reconciliation by shooting all Tories, Libdems and any fcuker who doesn’t agree with us.
The “National Plan for Britain” will be engraved on cling-film so it will be fully transparent and held in a piss-pot under my bed. Anyone wishing to see it will have to wear piss-proof gloves and pay an administration fee of £100 million (receipts will be provided to Labour MP’s for expense claims).
Because of the shit-state of the UK economy and to get finances back on track a Marshall Plan will be introduced to last 1,000 years. This will include a fresh air tax for any UK residents able to breathe. Dead UK residents who for medical reasons cannot breathe will be exempt from the fresh air tax but will be liable for a smoking and gambling tax.
This “National Plan for Britain” took 6 minutes for Tony and myself to concoct on Friday whilst scoffing fish and chips, shredding the Magna Carta Libertatum and shredding our expenses claims and I fully and wholeheartedly commend it to the Honourable Members of the House before opening time at the Westminster Arms.

I know that McSnot-Gobbler is challenged in the recognising style department, but what has he got against French Connection UK?
Yeah, well we’ve got a plan involving piano wire and lamp posts.
he`s a friend of Julie Kirkbride.
Wrong…Julie doesn’t have any friends
Surely this can’t go on much longer. Talk of citizens arrest of MPs returning to Westminster next week , half the cabinet using taxpayers money for advice on how not to pay income tax, more revelations promised this week: it’s just a political tsunami which is completely unstoppable.
This present parliament has lost all moral authority and credibility and has to be dissolved after the European elections. If New labour hasn’t got the guts to sack Bunker Brown and call an election themselves, Cameron should arrrange for the combined opposition parties to stand down all mass in order to force an election.
Maybe the Rotten Parliament should be replaced by a short-term Reform Parliament to implement the necessary surgery to this anachronistic system. This parliament could maybe have a multi-party government to sit for three months to implement the immediate reforms needed, and it could then dissolve itself for a conventional general election, which could be accompanied by a referendum on the form of PR to be adopted for future elections.
Or HM The Queen could do ‘the right thing’
UKWACK IF YOU WANT TO ….
Loved the Viggers wrought iron well cover – he’s sold the house ( we paid for it) but left the drain cover behind with his initials picked out in gold, well take a drain monkey to know one. Golden letters on the cesspit of life. BTW Susan Boyle hit a few bum notes before she got into her stride. Do you think Ann Widdecombe is her twin sister?
I want one.
Who is this video blonde Tory MP with an american accent?
The love child of Margaret Beckett and Boris Johnson.
It’s all quacker’s and we’re going after the tory toffs with capital gains tax on duck houses.
Speaker Michael Martin had a unique way to keep an eye on MP’s expenses. He had a clock made with extra big fingers that would tick on one minute every time a dodgy claim was submitted.
When asked where he kept the clock, Martin said “It’s on my desk, I find it makes an excellent fan”.
Off topic, Don’t forget the Conservative bloggers (and friends) get-together/p*ss-up next Saturday in Westminster.
We wouldn’t have begrudged the odd grandee his duck house, if they had been a bit more proactive in preventing nulabour from fucking up the country so badly. Not only have they let us down by failing to attack labour at every oportunity, but now they’ve given the beeboids the opening to use the ‘all politicians are the same’ meme, to defend their labour chums.
But they didn‘t, the Tories let us down (in opposition) badly… we see now what a nice little earner they were all on. Why attack NuLabour when their policies were lining ALL MPs pockets with fat profits, house prices, expenses. Just go along for the ride, er?.
NEVER put your faith in any government
OK -government and opposition are useless. Get rid of them. Err….then what?
Have a party?
Engineer,
nothing personal, but here is the crux of the problem.
Like junkies dependent on their dealer, the general public feel dependent upon ‘authority’, the government, to protect them!
I remember Israel being without a government for about 6 months, a long time ago.
The economy gained pace and everything carried on just hunkydory without them. Government was formed and the economy dropped the 2 per cent that it had risen by, almost instantly.
Imagine if the police did not have all this interference, they might do their jobs. Business was not bombared by new regulations and paper work!
What if the unthinkable happened; people took responsability for their own lives and actions. A sense of community returned. People supported local business and farmers. etc etc.
It’s coming your way soon, whether you like it or not!
Financial Arma geddin out of here is on it’s way!
Nothing can stop it now.
George, Barry and the Empty Gourd have made every move that they could to ensure that!
Yours, from the middle of nowhere with a large garden.
Government is a necessary evil that can only become safe when it is representative and altered by frequent elections. The function of government in society ought to be only regulating and therefore as simple as possible.
Old Nick Heavenly,
I admire your optimism, but can’t see it myself. OK, our current system of government has some blithering incompetents and blatant grabbers in it, and they need chucking out. But the basic system, perhaps with a tweek or two here and there, has done us quite well for several hundred years and will continue to. All we need is a General Election.
pay ‘em dole money.
Engineer,
… but now with have the EU to add to the mix. Something we did not have for the last several hundred years. Time I think for a radical rethink, perhaps something like the USA?
We do not need all these MPs for a start, nor all of these layers of government (seven layers someone said?).
Cameron could do, but won’t, the opportunity is here, awaiting the next great person of vision.
Old Tory,
Better to leave the EU perhaps? What exactly are the benefits of membership? Few that I can see, and they are certainly outweighed by the costs. If we are to stay in the EU, that’s where the radical change is needed.
No, our parliament has done us well enough for several centuries. It’s an awful system, but it’s better than the rest, as someone wiser than me once said.
LESS Government.
There was absolutely nothing the Tories could do in opposition that would have made any difference. Labour had a huge majority, support from a public deluded into thinking that debt was wealth and commendation from the BBC.
Dave is criticised now it has all gone pear shaped for not being more aggressive in his opposition, in the past. I think he’s played it just right by concentrating on removing the ‘nasty party’ label. If he hadn’t done that Snottie would have called and won a General Election shortly after he became Prime Minister.
Politicians may well be useless greedy sh1ts, but at least they are elected and can be disposed of.
The real concern should be the armies of bureaucrats administering the country at all levels; overpaid mediocrities sucking the life out of the country whilst drivelling on about ‘best practice’, ‘front-line services’ and ‘efficiency’ to select just a few of the buzz words currently popular.
Propping up the rotten status quo and corrupt establishment are much more important than the state of the country itself it seems.
It is clear that we need to get rid of all dishonest MPs and replace them with ones that are honourable and understand that they are there to perform a public service. However, we have to be careful that with all this talk of reform we don’t rush into a new form of government that is not properly thought out and contains flaws that make it worse than we have now.
For Alan Johnson to call for a referendum on the implementation of proportional representation is a case in point. There are many alternative to the existing first past the post system most of which dispense with the close link between an MP and his constituents. We have seen, only within the last few days, the value of this link, with the announcement by Andrew MacKay that he is standing down. This was clearly as a result of the disgust shown by his constituents in Bracknell.
Any proportional representation system make that important constitutional link more tenuous and gives increased power to the party machine. Surely we need MPs who are more independent of their party and the Whips and who will prevent whatever government from indulging in the quite appalling legislative programme that we have seen for the past eleven years.
Lets clear out the current third rate incompetent shower and than think long and hard about what form of government and legislature we need for the future.
Another day with yet more revelations about this Parliament of Whores (sorry whores if I offend you with the comparison). No GE in sight, which is the ONLY way to purge these bastards and restore any form of public faith.Cameron’s idea of appealing to members of the public to apply to his party to be MPs is not a bad one, if they can bypass the loonier local associations. We have been giving the Tories a good kicking recently;is it because Labour are so far beyond the Pale that we do this? Just asking.
Cameron looks good compared to Brown. But so would Gary Glitter.
we knock the tories because they are not getting rid of their sleazers.
What has Cameron done about Bernard Jenkin and Julie Kirkbride? He needs to act sooner not later. The Kirkbride problem in particu;ar will not go away and will haunt him if no action is taken It is unprecedented both in this crisis and generally for an MP to have such mass demonstrations against them personally as distinct from issues. Huge crowds have gathered daily in Bromsgrove to protest against Kirkbride, and a hostile petition was signed by over 3,000 in the first two hours. Is it just about fraudulent money or are there other things? David Cameron should ask himself the question because the problem will never go away. In the meantime Kirkbride dismisses those who oppose her as `sad losers` and boasts that Cameron will never act against her. What a nasty piece of work she is, if Cameron thinks he can ride with this one he is sadly mistaken. The smiling sychophantic charmer he sees at Westminster is not what we in Bromsgrove see. Just look at some of the comments in Guido`s Sunday Sleave yesterday to see what people think about
JULIE KIRKBRIDE MP, FRAUDSTER. Cameron must act now.
No. Cameron must act when due process has not only been done, but been seen to have been done. That way it will work out better.
Anonymous – me thinks that you are an anti-Kirkbride troll.
I have no time for her myself but your tactics are rather obvious – the anti-Kirkbride team were outed on R5 on Friday as being Labour activists with the front man confessing to being expelled from Labour.
You are wrong. Yes I am anti-Kirkbride (very strongly so) but I am Tory (very strongly so). I am totally against Kirkbride`s politics, in as far as the careerist bitch has any, but I am even more against Kirkbride for what she is as a person, despicable, self-seeking, arrogant – and just plain nasty. I am not involved with the Kirkbride Must Go camp;aign in Bromsgrove and I agree they are mostly Labour, but not exclusively. The most strident opposition to this deploreable woman locally is from Tories, and I am one of them! You have misread the tactics.
Plato, read today`s Daily Mirror editorial comment for a good character assessment of Kirkbride. Please do not take this recommendation as proof that I am a Labour supporter!
Gary Glitter has announced his intention to stand against David Clelland for the Gateshead job. C’mon, Gazza!
Gary Glitter ought to stand against a wall and be shot
Nobody is reporting what Brown is doing because he is doing nothing.
The Conservative’s activities are being reported because it is the only game in town.
Brown is hoping that if Labour keeps its head down, we will all forget about Labour, Government sleaze and incompetence, and remember only moats and duck ponds.
There is a risk of that happening.
I don’t think it’ll work – shows Cameron is doing something about it – Gordon is just saving up for his nightmares for later.
He can’t win – put his fingers in his ears and go lalala, or admit that the whole of his front bench are on the make?
Toast anyone?
There are some interesting comments on here, thank you all.I am putting my faith in DC’s Star Chamber to sort out Tory Troughers. The news of Cabinet members, especially the Chancer of The Exchequer, billing us for tax avoidance advice is a thunderbolt that should put the heat right back on Labour, along with Eric Joyce’s million pound claims on expenses.
mine’s a gin and tonic..but don’t tell the chief constable.
As Julie Kirkbride is only a backbench MP it is up to her constituency to convince her to stand down for the good of the constituency and the party. This is what happened with her husband and is a much better way of doing things with the locals taking the initiative.
We need more democracy at local level, less dictatorship from the centre and this is how MPS should be selected and deselected.
No-one will ever covince or persuade Ju;ie Kirkbride to stand down. As for her constituency all the key officers are in her pay (or in our pay) one way or another. She has created a totally corrupt set up to bolster her fraudulent activities and preserve her power base. She will have to be booted out or she will never be got rid of.
What evidence do you have that all the officers of the local Tory party are in her pay. Just hearsay I suspect.
It is the membership of the local party that can make the ultimate decision not the officers – she will announce her departure within the next week.
The cartoon is a web feat like wot Guido Fawkes’es is.
To be frank. I can’t for the life of me see why Dave in claiming for his wisteria to be removed is any better than Viggers’s duck house. At least the ducks are still there, while the wisteria is now compost.
Now would someone care to explain what Jacqui Smith was doing with 3 digi cameras, a video recorder, an iphone, her sister’s spare bedroom and a subscription to a porn channel ?
I think you may have answered your own question!
That is iPhone you insensitive clod!
Think of how upset Apple marketers and fanbois are going to be.
I wonder if the bread used to feed the Ducks was paid for by us? The Ducks never had it so good…
http://www.plenty2say.com
I would like to contribute to Ed balls’ memorial wreath.
we’d like to as well.
I’d rather forget him to be honest.
That would be throwing good money after bad!
The bastards should not be remembered.
They should be charred and embered.
Nothing else will satisfy
Until the whole House is disMembered.
One of my pals saw young Dave touting for candidates in the dole queue.
Glad i’m not on the list.
Sarah, darling what is that removal van doing outside our front door?
Gordon, darling it’s not a removal van it’s a garbage van.
Hmmm a garbage van, tell the driver we don’t need any Sarah darling, we have enough.
Nice one!
Let’s face it the more Tory grandees that fuck up, the better it is for Liberal Dave.
It is a grteat opportunity for Dave to get rid of the grandees (backwoodsmen) that he could not otherwise have had.
it’s a great opportunity to get rid of dave.
he has cheated the taxpayer and is part of the problem.
dave ‘millionaire benefit cheat’ cameron has got to go.
thieving fucking c’unt.
come on TAT, Broon has hardly looked like a saint, transferring Maxwells, sorry his flat, into his wife’s name to maximize his claim
I agree.
Are there any actual conservatives in the Conservative party?
Norman Tebbit. I think that’s about it.
Julie Kirkbride, true blue solid right wing tory of total integrity – thats what she told us at her adoption meeting!
We would like Norman Tebbit to replace her. Any chance?
Darling Chancer of the Exchequer in charge of Tax and Revenue is claiming expenses for filing his personal tax returns.
Fcuk the economy and fcuk logarithms, where’s the slide rule. err, err we have to borrow £600 Billion in the next five years Gordon mate.
Darling, move the decimal point a make it a round £ Trillion, that’ll really fcuk the Tories.
What could be more a beautiful than a Chancellor who is so confused by taxes that we have to pay for an accountant to help him.
Again we have the same story repeated. HMRC rules say that we the public have to carry the cost of personal accountancy from our own pockets, but it is a different set of rules for MP who can pass us the bill.
Are you a government adviser?
Incredible isn’t it? The Chancellor of the Exchequer, supposed to be the guiding light to Britain’s economy – and he pays an accountant to fill in his tax form. Pity he didn’t use the same accountant to give him advice on the economy.
Thirty grand in travel costs in one year?
Feckin hell.
Considering parliamentary recess, that must be almost a grand a week.
That’s a lot of petrol/train fares.
A round trip from Yorkshire to Westminster must be around 400-500 miles. So about £70-£80 in juice.
That leaves about £900 per week to be accounted for.
If these MPs booked ahead on the internet, they can get good deals on train tickets. The trouble is, there is no incentive for them to do so and they cannot be trusted to get best value for the taxpayer.
Not to speak of the Balls’ use of Government cars..
IN ADDITION…
One would like to think that the prospect of an incipient piano wire collar might concentrate their minds about claiming for future expenses.
I wonder if they’ve put it in an offshore account ?- and I wonder what their true office expenses are ?- I bet you could probably run the European Union for what Balls/Cooper are thieving from us.
And amazingly Gordon is thinking of making Balls his Chancellor in the forthcoming re-shuffle.
Balls as Chancellor? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!
Sadly it could be true – JG Broon is so far up his own arse all he can see is his Balls!!
Groan!!!!
LOL
good point sir minge.
indeed, there is more chance of ed balls being assassinated than of him becoming the chancellor of the exchequer.
Sorry – Thick as Thieves – But you are wrong and I think you will find Ed Balls has a good chance of being our next Chancellor
He is Gordon’s most reliable supporter – and they are few and far between.
Gordon needs him to protect against the Blairites for as long as possible -which isn’t very long.
And Balls needs to milk in as much cash as he can from the taxpayer before the next GE because after that he and his dear wife are unemployable
The only consolation is that neither he nor his wife will hopefully survive the next GE.
Anyone else believe that civil unrest will happen when the 3 main party leaders say “Not in the public interest for the police to investigate MPs for fraud”
PS. Lib dums put a leaflet through my door yesterday without knocking. Just as well as I may have been doing the knocking.
What are the odds on a political door knocker being stabbed before the next election?
Will the government be offering them protection? This occupation must have jumped to number 1 on the most dangerous jobs list!
“What are the odds on a political door knocker being stabbed before the next election?”
Stabbed – low.
Decked – a certainty.
I’ve had loads of leaflets but haven’t met up with a door knocker yet. I think they must just chuck them through the letter box & then have it away on their toes as quickly as possible. I was looking forward to a couple of free, frank & open discussions with ‘em too.
They even have school children delivering leaflets in my area.
Too frightened to do it themselves !!
errrrrr is that not aganist the law ?
My read of the document from the Electoral Commission is;
As long as they are just delivering leaflets and not “canvassing” that is OK.
If they are paid then that expense must be shown in the election accounts.
I’m way ahead of the game on that one.
If the civil unrest in the United Condom does not start because of this pile of crap, which considering what a bunch of spineless cowards most of the general population are then EMPTY BELLIES should do the trick!
Seems like the only party doing any canvassing is the one that gets Guido’s pantaloons in a right twist.
Its website has, for years, been the most-visited political website in the UK.
More hits than Guido gets, even.
It’s been downed by a Denial of Service attack for about a day.
Wonder who can be behind that?
there is talk within the Met of issuing canvassers with sidearms. in NuLabour case, the AK47 seems to be the weapon of choice. In light of this possibility my family has been instructed on of my secret supply of fragmentation grenades.
I have been knocking on doors canvassing for the European Elections for the past three weeks on behalf of the Conservative candidates. The most common response is “we haven’t made up our mind yet but we won’t be voting Labour”. Many are still committing to vote Conservative but usually with a comment about the dishonest behaviour of MPs in general. Some say that they will vote Conservative in the European Election but not for the current Conservative MP at the General Election (he has since resigned).
I have received no hostility at all from anyone, no bad language and in lots of cases have been welcomed as no one else had canvassed them for their vote for this election and many people like to be asked.
The extreme violence that some members of this blog appear to advocate shows that they are not fully paid members of the human race and need to have a cold bath, calm down and take a few tranqualisers.
I want to see that back of any MP who has taken undue advantage of the allowances to which MP are entitled but the best sight will be their faces at the count at the General Election when they are defeated; not seeing them hanging from a lamp post.
I agree with most of what you say, the out pouring of threats of violence, which I have taken part in, is in part due to the helplessness of the electorate. Labour have failed to deliver on so many fronts, and god knows we’ve paid enough taxes for the delivery of all the promises. The Tories on the other hand have failed to hold them to account for this failure for most of the last 12 years. Now we find out that both sides have colluded in wholesale embezzlement of public funds for personal enrichment with a ‘gentlemens’ agreement not to criticise the other when the public finds out! Where were the Tories when Vaz, Blunkett etc. were caught, where were Labour over Conway?
Can we trust any any current MP, who was so keen on the old system, to change in a new clean parliament?
Ooh Oooh,
Iain Dale reporting Balls tried to claim for memorial wreaths.
There’s more dirt to come on Balls, everyone knows it
excellent….pin ready to be pulled.
You only miss someone when their gone
Yes, but will we find any body to hate as much?
Is that an admission that Balls and McPoison were a double act?
Please, please give us the chance to MISS YOU.
Hoon Broon….. they’re….not their.
Has anybody got the link to the UKip video that was on yesterday?
Bit hidden away on the DT website
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mps-expenses/5379843/MPs-expenses-Alistair-Darlings-claim-for-help-with-his-tax-return.html
Search for Balls.
Makes me laugh, that Tory MP was crucified for doing the same – Balls? Hmm, nicely tucked away on a page.
Exactly. The Tory MP who claimed for a wreath was crucified by the BBC and others. Balls does the same, twice, and it hardly gets a mention. BBC haven’t mentioned it at all as far as I can see.
Balls has forgotten which day of the week Remembrance Sunday falls on but is trying to post date expenses claims for 8th November 2009 in case he’s no longer in office. ….yes you too can have a poppy on exenses Yvette but with all this palava try and get a receipt from the Poppy Appeal Collector.
Lest we forget, do not use a pencil to claim expenses and wait for the ink to dry.
I bet Gordon saves his Remembrance Day poppy to re-use next year.
>BBC haven’t mentioned it at all as far as I can see.
They did, on the 6 a.m. news, via a quick mumble at the end of a catalogue of other crimes.
There is something Norman about the shape of Balls’s skull. Maybe it’s the pudding-basin haircut, or the bulging eyes, or the odious smugness, but I feel that he urgently needs a closer acquaintance with a morningstar.
reference: Ms Ashley – Andrew Marrr – BBC. we are updating the file ready for the purge..
But why are they protecting him?
Because the BBC are biased towards Labour?
Perhaps thats why their chief political reporter is known as Toenails Robinson?
Why didn’t the DT make a bigger story of it – instead of burying it deep inside.
Seems to have been moved up the pecking order now.
About bl**dy time
Bl**dy time?
Must remember to buy tampons!
Cameron is taking action against some of the crooks in his party and, despite doing the correct thing, the Tories are getting hammered i the press, particularly the BBC who are almost spinning the line that this is nearly all confined to the Tories.
Meanwhile Brown has taken no action against the more numerous crooks in the Labour Party (apart from suspending two who have clearly committed criminal acts)
Brown’s tactic seems to be to lie low and let the Tories take all the crap. He is aided and abetted by the BBC and by Labour voices in the media like Jackie Ashley in today’s Guardian who has written a ridiculous piece attacking Cameron for taking action.
Brown thinks he’s being clever but this will come back to bite him on the arse.
Some of the crooks being the operative. Dave is carrying out a selective cull, in his efforts to be the heir to Blair.
Aah, the latest Labour spin: a “selective cull”.
It’s bollox of course but it’s the best the bunker can come up with to attack Cameron who is taking action while cowardly dithering Brown does nothing but stall and lie.
Don’t be taken in by yet another career politician. They are all crooks including CMD.
He is doing it selectively. He’s using it to solidify his hold on the party. Gordon Brown can’t even do that because he has no power left to solidify. DC is way ahead on the expenses row but even he is, in reality, doing bugger all about it unless it suits his purposes.
The media are being tremendously one sided on this though I agree. Hopefully all the Labour sleaze will start to hit the headlines in a few weeks when the other 2 parties have had a mild clean out. It can’t be hidden for ever and people are noticing which parties are getting rid of their members and which parties aren’t. Everyone knows all MPs are at it so it’s not a bad thing to have constant Tory resignations whilst Labour sit quietly. It’s being noticed.
Brown isn’t carrying out any cull, not even a selective one. He’s sat on his fat arse in the bunker hoping this all goes away.
The media cannot even spell your name correctly, if you are a nobody!
What do you expect!
You are right.Brown’s inactivity about the criminals in his ranks will hurt him in the long run.Dave is taking the pain now and doing something about it and the public will remember the difference.
I’m not sure it will come back to haunt Brown. While everyone knows all MPs were at it the BBC are only make a big thing of the Tory scandals. Anyone who has watched BBC News over the last 25 years knew this would happen.
Most of the public are more interested in Susan Boyle. When it comes to election time the BBC will make sure they remember moats and duck houses more than digital cameras bought at our expense. The Home Secretary scandalously charges us for digital cameras and nothing is made of it. If the BBC caught Dave doing that what do you think would happen?
People in the world served by the best Home Secretary ever know that you cannot watch porn on a duck jouse but you can on a £240 iPhone
Fortunately, there are other organs beside the BBC these days.Re Susan Boyle, good luck to her but most of those who are more interested in her and the “celebrity! side are likely to be non voters anyway.
Other organs! FNAR! FNAR!
The Labour Party claim that employing an accountant to help you avoid tax is an “allowable expense”.
So that’s alright then. Alistair Darling and the 8 others have clearly done nothing wrong and they are still able to hold their heads up high and have nothing to feel guilty or be ashamed about.
They have the money and the guns so why would they care?
They have a 66 seat majority and 12 months to the next election so they can ride the gravy train to their heart’s content and there’s fuck all we can do about it.
Children’s Minister’s surname to that. If we find 66+ Labour MP’s who have a prima-facie case to answer for fraud, then the Tories ought to start private prosectutions against them, or is the intention to wait until just before the election is called.
Give it another year and they’ll be making their own gravy.
Cameron should get together with Clegg and have every opposition member resign to force an election. Can you imagine the terrible image for Brown if the entire opposition stood down and walked out during PMQs after Cameron or Clegg stands up and tells him Parliament is no more? It needs to be done. This parliament no longer has any authority.
UK Fred, if private prosecutions are called this side of an election, the Tories probably won’t be able to draw the public’s attention to them, because it might prejudice the cases of the defendants.
I’d prefer prosecutions to take place after the GE – the Tories aren’t likely to let the Labour transgressors off lightly.
If a grateful nation has provided Alistair Darling et al with free tax advice, which presumably included specialist advice on advanced home flipping, do we own this advice?
Can we therefore access this advice through a FoI request?
In another era a Chancellor caught in similar circumstances would have resigned. This lot are shameless it is an absolute disgrace. They must be held to account.
Try, it’s easy by email.
I blame my accountant.
accountant blame my I
This expenses scandal has shown the differnce in the two leaders in the way they are dealing with it:
Do Nothing Brown
and
Action Man Cameron
Cameron hasn’t actually done anything has he? Name one, just one Conservative MP that is now not a Conservative MP since this expense scandal broke.
Public Perception !Public Perception ! Public Perception ! That’s the secret and one which Brown has singularly failed to grasp over the last week .Cameron comes out looking tough whereas Brown in comparison looks weak and indecisive and appears unable to discipline his Cabinet who are getting bolshier by the day. Johnson’s piece to-day is blatant manoevering for the leadership as a “safe pair of hands” post 4 June
Brown is also behind the curve on everything to do with expenses from the public’s perception and seems to be following Cameron’s lead, the latest being on Labour MEPs having to publish their expenses which Cameron muted a year ago. Brown may well have done the same but the public think he hasn’t and is being forced to do so by Cameron’s decisive actions.
Brown has to all intents and purposes already lost the Premiership – we’re all just now waiting for the actual event of him going to the Palace to relinquish office and probably sooner rather than later the way things are progressing
The “Public Perception !” is still overwhelmingly that the lot of them are crooks and that the Police should be escorting most of them to do some well earned time at Her Majesty’s Pleasure.
In the westminster bubble cameron has recieved some brownie points from the commentariat for telling a few old duffers to retire after the Election, but out in the real world the public wants blood.
They do not make such nuanced appraisals and simply see a bunch of thieving Politician Piggies feeding greedily at the trough.
And they want to punish them. Every single one of them.
There are several who won’t be MP’s next year with many more to follow – and that is the difference.
McMoron on the other hand is shit scared to even discipline the criminals in his cabinet.
No party leader has thev power to “sack” an MP. MP’s are elected by their constituents and it would be a dangerous precedent if anyone but those constituents had the power to sack an MP.
Derek Conway. You did ask…. he had the whip withdrawn specifically for expenses abuse.
Isn’t he in the DT for more expenses abuse ?
I can see that piece of discipline worked on him like a charm.
Poor sod must be taking his paycheck and counting his pension through a veil of tears from now till Election day. Still at least it was something. Brown is terrified to do even that much in case they all turn on him.
But I strongly doubt the public will swallow all this P.R. gesture politics, hindsight contrition and mock piety as anything other than patronising empty words and decidedly limp deeds.
I might be wrong but we’ll see soon enough if the opinion polls are going young david’s way in light of managing to persuade some troughers to resign after the election.
He had the whip withdrawn, but there was no prosecution for a clear cut case of fraud, and he’s been allowed to continue to draw MP’s wages and expenses. Not one MP did anything about that. When the matter was debated in the house only about 30 MP’s were present. That shows how concerned they were.
Derek Conway
Definitely getting better and better, the R&M boys. This is MSM standard material.
Where’s my CV Sarah darling?, Middlesborough are looking for a Football Manager.
“They’re looking for a new mascot too and you’re to show up Saturday as Gordy The Picker. I’ll put out your green and brown tie”
I can imagine what Gordon’s CV looks like – smudged, written in large letters, scrawled in thick crayon, the pages stuck together with snot.
Get lost Gorgon, things are bad enough here without you destroying what’s left of our footbae as well. Damn cheek!
The Boro are not looking for another manager pal. “Sir” Steve Gibson knows the value of loyalty and integrity. Just a pity he doesn’t pay a bit more to buy some in.
So true, Dr Mick, so true * sigh*
Under the circs though, I’m not sure we should insult Steve by giving him a ‘K’ as this government has devalued the honours system to such a level, that actually, it would be quite an afront to his integrity to give him one. (imho )
Is that the best that Jackie Ashley and the Guardian can do, the country has been sent to the dogs and Ashley talks of opportunism.
The fact that Cameron has been the only politico to to get anywhere near to capture the public mood, and thats wrong.
It isn’t Brown’s style that been his downfall. It’s the lousy fucking stupid decisions he continues to make.
Pensions – gone
Gold reserves – dumped
Ecomony – fucked
Armed Forces – shat on
Honesty – none
Intregity – none
Promises – broken
The whole country has been Browned, well and truly fucking Browned.
The one thing the next government can do to help us all, is to dump the jobs vacant contract with the fucking guardian.
This country has people going into hospital with rickets, fucking Rickets for fuck sake.
Cameron will have few answers, but you never know, it can’t carry on like this
Ashley, your a bucket of piss
Hey that’s my wife you are taling about.
Andrew Marr.
You told me I was your wife.
Does your wife know you’re married?
Don’t forget the world class education system as well. Now anyone can get 3 A-levels and still not be able to read, write or count. We truly do live in an age of Nulabour miracles.
You only have to read the first paragraph to see how biased she is – “When so many Tory MP’s have become hate figures for their moats …….”.
No mention of the criminal activities of Labour ministers and MP’s.
> This country has people going into hospital with rickets, fucking Rickets for fuck sake.
Wear a burqa, get rickets. It’s all part of the UKs new rich multiculturalism.
“wear a burqa, get rickets”
It’s tickets I’d be giving them, one way of course.
Environmentalists are becoming increasingly worried about the amount of endangered species which continues to rise. The government has promised time and time again to support efforts to help these species but failed to deliver. Now some lower life forms have just joined the list, environmentalists say rather that prolong their misery MPs should be culled immediately. Most agree some kind of poison would be the fairest way but due to government cuts they may just have to club the B’stards!
Be careful what you wish for.
You might feel rather differently about the duck house.
At least a duck house is for ducks and not sheer unmitigated greed to stuff pockets or champagne flutes.
You just wait until you see the new candidates Dave is going to replace the old grandees with.
Wimmin
ethnics
lib/dems in drag!!
by the dozen
Pro EU.
This is Dave’s chance to turn the party pro EU, pro multiculti and pro liberal with a small ‘l’.
Even more, if possible, an offshoot of Tel Aviv.
Many of you ain’t going to like it.
A year from now you could be looking at viggers and kicking yourselves.
At least the old boy showed a bit of humour.
Why was he straight out and Kirkbride defended?
Bad sign, believe me.
I am not defending the duck house or the grandees I am just warning you that things may not going to get better under Dave.
As for PR, it will break the power of the 3 main corrupt swine. It will allow independents and minor parties into parliament.
Once I would have been against it, but something must be done against the political class of which, never forget, dave is a classic example.
I think he is going to use this crisis to screw real tories.
Be warned.
So true 1381, so true.
I fear you will be proven correct.
Quite funny that David Cameron has to ask the public to help out and to come forward for the conservatives as candidates as he can’t find any trust worthy MPs left to stand again at the next election.
I think he is doing this to frighten them back into line.
Thanks Norman.
Just about sums up an average day in the Fees Office
Is the fees office open today?……….just bought Habitat and want to claim it on expenses.
And thick as thieves manky pit.
oi!
I named you tory dalek troll, so show some respect to your creator.
Don’t think there is a link above. boris is always worth reading. Enjoy

Another Johnson making a pitch for party leadership.
Looks like odious Stephen Pound has been doing a bit of part-time mini-cabbing and claiming lots of mileage…
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1187122/The-6-2m-Scandal-MPs-taking-taxpayers-ride-extortionate-travel-expenses.html
Pound is not merely odious, he is positively oleaginous and repulsive in his ceaseless brown-nosing.
No doubt all those Cabs were to the BBC and Sky News where he is oft to be found talking complete bollocks and spinning furiously.
Stephen Pound-per-mile is not only odious and oleaginous but is unbelievably unctuous to boot. ( I think we’d all like to boot him..OUT ).
On this occasion he was on LBC radio trying furiously to explain how busy, busy, busy he is as an MP.
After you with the sick bucket, please.
I know the brain addles with age, but i’m sure i remember a clip of Pound of shit laying his coat over a puddle for Hazel Blears to walk over a la Walter Rayliegh.
Even she did’nt trust him and dodged around his coat leaving him looking a right plonker.
Speaking of coats, ‘Precious’ Pound was an industrious shoplifter when he was at school. He had a long camel overcoat with a slit in the lining, similar to the arrangement conjurors call a Toppit. He would fill the lining with cakes and sweets, then go back to school and share the booty with his mates.
A true Socialist.
The BBC like him a lot, which pretty much says it all.
He issues the BBC with a book of 20 Interview Vouchers (nominally £5 each) at a knockdown price of £79.99. You’ve got to fill the airwaves with something, so it might as well be the on-message, cringeworthy parteh line spouted by this pathetic old tart. At £4 a pop, you can’t go wrong.
And he has his very own clip on microphone pinned to him at all times!
Always saves a good few minutes in set up.
If he complains of being busy, well take a long rest and stay off my fucking telly you toe the party line, senile old twat.
Did the Beeb and Sky also gave him money for the same cab rides?
Gilbert and Sulivan could have made a fantastic musical of this. Come on Lord LLoyd-Webber. A sequel to Les Miserables perhaps?
prize for the best reason why
Margaret Thatcher and Norman Tebbit, both from ordinary working backgrounds and a life outside of politics.
Anthony Blair, Gordon James Brown and David William Donald Cameron, all three are career politiciuans with NO experience of fuck all else.
Vote Dave, replace Gordon with another straight kind of guy.
Yep thats why David Davis was the better choice.
But the media put a stop to that one.
Who owns the media?
Cameron is heir to Blair – as he self proclaimed.
All froth no substance as we are seeing in his protection of Kirkbride.
He has actually done B all really.
I am a real blue. I tell you now that Cameron is not. He is just the political class lib dem/NL posing as a tory to take power when Labour is out.
See America! See Obama is just continuing where Bush and Clinton left off.
Same here.
What did Camern do to stop the great theft from the taxpayer into his banking mates pockets .
You want change.
Well Dave is just the next establishment robber baron.
There IS an alternative waiting in the wings.
Just in case Dave can’t deliver the miracle turnaround the voters seem to be expecting. He is not actively looking for the job. Heavens no!
But if duty called and all was crumbling around a Cameroonian administration then he might be forced very reluctantly to step in.
Boris – you must be joking.
Another liberal posing as Tory blue.
I thought you meant Carswell.
“Boris – you must be joking.”
The oft repeated phrase when he announced his candidacy for Mayorship.
Who’s laughing now ?
Davies is persona non grata and Carswell makes Major look vibrant.

Boris was Heseltine’s choice as successor.
What does that make him?
Not Tory!!
Buffoon or lib. I’ll accept either, preferably both.
Heseltine’s was a safe seat and Tory Central Office wanted him in.
He’s not an idealogical twin of Hezzer and is most often shot down for speaking his mind a bit too much. And it’s NOT for being overly Liberal.
He is also surprisingly popular and one of the few Politicians never mind Tories that the public knows by their first name alone.
He is constatnly underestimated and the fact of the matter is Dave fears him.
Because he is building up his own small army of followers using the London Mayor’s Office as a powerbase.
His buffon image is cultivated almost to a fault to appear disarming and amusing. But it’s almost entirely calculated.
He’s kept his head down and is running Britain’s Capital City.
That’s real experience with real vast budgets and making real decisions about security and health and education.
Now I’m not saying he WILL be P.M. just that he has never been accused of a lack of ambition and after becoming London Mayor I for one would hardly be shocked if circumstances did arise at some point in the future where he gets very close to the seat of power.
If you are looking for the purity of a hard right candidate in the Tebbit or extreme eurosceptic mould then I wish you luck. Because the Conservative party has danced that dance and it got them nowhere for over a decade.
Boris has balls and is a man of conviction. He runs a tight ship and doesn’t renege on his promises. People underestimate him.
Britain could do a lot worse with Boris as PM.
Slightly off subject I know, but I can’t believe people arn’t concerned about this! Watching every journey you make.
Check it out on this link:-

Who on earth would want this bunch of Westminster criminals watching your every move? No safeguards in place either. How on earth did they get this through? And remember they didn’t want their personal details made available to you through the FOI act even though it’s you who are paying for them.
Truly George Orwell come true and frightening!
Welcome to Earth.
And they have also lost the vetting data on 500 RAF officers and intelligence officials.
Couldn’t make it up – again…
Yes, i watched a bit about this on TV – interviewer discussed it with the Information Commissioner who said he really didn’t have any powers over this. Cut to JackBoots, who glibly announced that the Information Commissioner would be monitoring it’s use etc. Oh no, said the interviewer – ah said Jackboots, quick as a flash – we’ll bring in new legislation to cover it. Lying hoon! I nominate her for the first piano wire collar.
How did ‘they’, meaing the people, allow it?
By voting in a liebore goverment.
Repeat that old chestnut, ‘Oh, if you’ve got nothing to hide, you’ve got nothing to fear’
AUSWEIS !!! MACHT SCHELL !
Unt Arbeit Mache Frie… (spellink!!!)
Sieg Heil Everybody
Just imagine, the Lib Dems conspire with Labour to allow proportional representation, and the party which must not be named eventually gets into power with all these wonderful surveillance tools and nothing to restrict their use.
“We’ve seen an increase of some 40% of arrests since we’ve been using this technology.” Why do they tell these porkies? It obviously can’t be true – they couldn’t process that many additional arrests (unless the police are lying about how frantically busy they are all the time). Note also that they say ‘arrests’, not ‘convictions’; arrest numbers are easy to fiddle, but convictions aren’t.
Time for an FOI request asking for actual numbers not percentages? Also ratio of arrests to charges to convictions. That would fuck them over!
European and England local government elections in only 10 days time so the Daily Telegraph will keep going ’til then, still have 400 MP’s expenses to expose with great BALLS of fire.
Pond life
Or even Pound life! Triple entendre
Duck Soupe – entente cordiale
Pound shop
Thats where they will be shopping in 12 months time
They can join the fucking queue like the rest of us.
very good.
The difference between Brown and Cameron is that Brown is doing nothing and Cameron is pretending to do something.
Both still have MP’s that have committed Fraud within their party ranks. The delay by Cameron is just a tactic so that his cronies get their taxpayer pay-off and their golden pension at the end of it all. It still stinks.
Well DC asking the public for help finding honest candidates is funny.
Perhaps he can get a new career in comedy when he leaves the house?
New on Web Shameron!
Ifs, ands and buts; Dave does Vicky Pollard:
An interesting point.
MPs have been perfectly willing to smash the law to pieces in order to get their hands on public money; so why are they so craven about taking us out of the EU if that is what the people want.?
Would the EU invade us if the electorate said no and our Government unilaterally took us out?
Depends whether Obama opines that it’s in US interests to let us nuke Brussels with “our” Polarises.
What time is the 10 O’Clock news?
You must get a little hand put on that watch.
It is rumoured that Micky Mouse has an Ed Balls watch…..
Fear not, Glorious Leader, it will be purified and sanitised to ensure that your brilliant government is not shown up to be full of grasping, self-serving toerags who have ruined this Country.
What time does Michael Jackson go to bed?
When the big hand touches the little one….
The Chiltern Hundreds is going to be packed at this rate. Can you still claim expences when banished
I hear they’re going to rename it the Chiltern Thousands.
The Chiltern hundreds and thousands. Red blue and orange.
I’d have thought that yellow was a more suitable colour for the spineless so and so’s.
The duck house is shit. Bloody quackers.
It’s got an outside shit house by the look of it.
He should have done better with public money, the fucking cheapskate.
Not ducking the issue with this cartoon! Eider said this was a good cartoon about MPs feathering their nests! Some of them are operating on a wing and a prayer! (Sorry. That’s enough. I’ll stop, now…)
Meanwhile, where’s Gordon?
Bank Holiday morning update: Gordon Brown’s plea: “Get your tanks off my lawn!”
Have you noticed what a low profile he keeps these days – its almost as though he’s using the back door at No.10 to avoid us all?
Or maybe his cabinet colleagues are keeping him out of sight out of the fear that he will do even more damage if he opens his mouth in public?
We should set up a national Hue and Cry – “Where’s Gordon?” (much like the kids cartoon Where’s Wally? whom he resembles.)
Unless he is suffering from depression? There were rumours that a PM of some years ago had to be taken to a clinic for treatment. “Heavy cold” was what they told the press…
nell, “Where’s Gordon” was a favourite meme on this blog several months ago, but I think it’s due for a revival.
Wherever Gordon is, it isn’t where we would all like him to be.
Brown is undeniably a back-door PM.
I see most of the cabinet including the Chancellor do not know how to fill in the tax returns the government have printed, doesn’t say much for the intelligence of these people who are supposed to be running the country. Labour say accountants are allowable under the rules, but surely not necessary!
Video from INSIDE MacKay’s constituency meeting in Bracknell. He said that 75% of the crowd was for him. . . On the contrary, they absolutely savaged him:
http://www.spectator.co.uk/coffeehouse/
POOR MAN
He not only wears an Irish Jig but also has a speech impediment.
Wonder if he got the Irish Jig on expenses?
you`d be surprised what he got on expenses (no records now) and even more surprised with what wifey Kirkbride got on expenses (no records now). Male thongs and female tattoos (where?), all disguised on a forged boots bill as anonymous items. What an unsavoury pair!
Like another A I know so much.
“He said that 75% of the crowd was for him. . . On the contrary, they absolutely savaged him:”
Err…..he’s a politician isn’t he, it’s what they do?
Food prices go up—MPs dont pay
Capital Gains Tax—MPs dont pay
Self Assessment—MPs get advice
Travel costs—MPs dont pay
London pad—MPs dont pay
Married couples—MPs dont pay twice
Debates—Floor of the House empty
select committees—Questions never asked
TV interviews—Questions never answered
Democratic vote—Postal vote fraud
DT reporting—Lets Balls off the hook
Great Britain—Great Shitbin
Don’t get me started.
Maybe we all need accountants.
Due to the deteriorating public finances, there will an emergency budget on Tuesday and in future all tory Duck Houses will be liable for capital gains tax.
In addition tory MP’s will not be allowed to put Duck Houses on their bill or claim computers to surf the web.
Duck billed prattypuss
“deteriorating public finances”
It’s no wonder that they are deteriorating so fast when Brown’s equally incompetent treasury puppet can’t even handle his own finances, let alone those of our Country.
It just keeps getting worse.
Home Secretary staggers into the Westminster Arms at 8 am and the barman says “Hey where did you get the pig?”
The Home Secretary says “This isn’t a pig it’s a duck”
The barman says “I was talking to the duck!”
An MP was bored with her Lexus. It lacked individuality and besides, every other MP in the House had one. She fancied something a bit more individual, perhaps a Classic Jaguar convertible.
She visited a local car dealer and saw a beautiful Jaguar XK150 convertible. It was wonderfully restored and she fell in love with its gorgeous lines and red paint. An empty cheque stub later and off she was, tearing down the leafy country lanes enjoying her beautiful new car. Her hair was flowing in the wind, music blaring from the stereo, what could possibly be better? What could possibly go wrong?
As that thought crossed her mind, there was a splutter from the engine and the car slowly coasted to a stop. She got out and lifted the bonnet and concluded that she didn’t have a bloody clue as to what was wrong. She grabbed her pocket phone and called the AA. A short while later a bright shiny yellow tow truck pulled up behind her.
‘That’s a lovely car,’ says the mechanic. ‘What seems to be the matter?’
Well, it just conked out I’m afraid.’
‘Let me have look.’ He set to work and ten minutes later the engine was purring like a cat again.
‘Thank goodness,’ she said. ‘What was the matter?’
‘Simple really, just crap in the carburetor,’ he replied.
Looking shocked she asked, ‘Oh, OK. How many times a week do I have to do that?’
How not to do it:
http://conservativehome.blogs.com/goldlist/2009/05/video-from-inside-special-meeting-reveals-that-andrew-lackay-was-monstered-by-constituents-that-he-c.html
Will there be videos from Labour’s Star Chamber?
What’s that removal van doing outside my house?
It’s not your house Gordon. You were just unknowingly squatting.
There is video of Mackay’s constituency meeting over at conservative home
Ed Ball’s defence for claiming for a remembrance day wreath was that it was a mistake made by a member of his staff.
But that means that he doesn’t bother to proof-read his own expense form before he signs it off.
It’s a bit like when Gordon Brown was moaning about Sir Fred’s pension, when Brown said “I didn’t actually read the multi-billion-pound contract that I signed; I just assumed that what the banks put in front of me was all ok so I just signed it.”
These people are running multi-billion-pound departments for fuck’s sake, it’s no defence to say that you don’t bother to read anything that’s put in front of you.
That should be “Ruining” not “Running”.
Good Day Sir
Two verbs in the header Old Chap. I say, tut tut, what?
Testing comment moderation.
How can the big 3 party leaders support the speaker who did every thing he could to keep this corruption secret from the public?
How can these party leaders stand up and say what a great job he did when he also was stealing from the public purse as well? “Taxi”
The whole system is rotten to the core and I cannot wait to see the look on their faces when they all get trashed in the Euro elections.
They deserve everything vote there going to get. Zero votes hopefully, but I suppose there will always be one or two stupid people who actually vote for them. Hopefully this will be just a joke vote!
Errr… Nick Clegg didn’t old boy.
In fact there was a bit of a hubbub about it at the time because he called for Martin to step down as this was against precedent.
He’s not going to return to his constituency and prepare for power just yet, but he is still one of the Party Leaders of the Big 3.
You do bring up an interesting point though as almost no-one seems to have gone out on a limb or discussed just how low turnout could be.
I suspect it might be shockingly poor.
Dont worry we’ll make up the difference with the Postal vote.
Some comments go straight through. Others, devoid of swear words, libel, insult and arguably merit do not. Anyone know how it works?
Is there any logic to it or is Guido just takinf a leak?
A bit off topic I know but maybe less boring than MP’s expenses.
I suppose a duck is out of the question?
MMMMMCMental
“Mmmmmmmr Speaker we will will not Duck the important issues of the day unlike the do nothing Tories”
Cameron
“Mr Speaker,
I am now going to cross the floor of the House and lamp that one eyed Hoon”
*Huge cheers across all benches*
Just read the flagged Guardian article by Jackie Ashley. He/she magnificently illustrates the politics of envy, the sad, embittered voice of failure, a stream of blunt thought unsupported by intelligence; spiteful and loathsome, snide and repugnant journalism – I gave up reading this shitty little rag in the early 1980s and I see it hasn’t changed. I suppose it knows its target audience.
Yes
But New Labour not openly playing the class and sectarian card like last week..
“We are all working class Scottish Catholics together”
Dixit Thug Brown, Labour Chief Whip over Gorbals sacking..
They shot themselves in the foot again with that …!!!
My guess is that at a general election, a lot of people will be scared shitless that the BNP could get a lot of the protest votes, and so that in turn will make a lot of people who might have voted for, say, ukip or the greens then vote for tory or libdem instead, but that they won’t vote for labour.
So, the protest vote could be transferred to the tories or libdems with gritted teeth by a lot of people to just try and stop the BNP, at least that’s what I’m hoping.
Especially as Cameron’s actively doing something about corruption/fraud, whereas labour is just holding committees and doing nothing and still banging on about following “the rules”. The hide/obfuscate approach that labour’s adopted is political suicide. It’ll make a lot of the protest votes move to the tories in the end, even for traditionally non-tory voters because of the BNP angle.
Can’t believe Alistair Darling used an accountant to work out his tax return.
But on checking Wikipedia it appears (as with his predecessor) he has absolutely no financial experience or qualifications, one wonders whether his cv includes O-level maths.
Also I was amused to see Bishop’s Stortford comedian – John Mann was organizing a coach trip to see our garden at Hazelhurst’s gaff but was advised by police not to…
Given that Brown who was in charge of the entire country’s money for over 10 years (and still is due to the puppet nature of the current chancellorship) didn’t understand that “abolishing” the 10pct tax rate but not shifting the thresholds meant that people on low incomes effectively have their tax rate doubled, I wouldn’t expect darling or brown to be capable of understanding any kind of basic maths/economics.
Call me old fashioned, but I reckon being a PM/chancellor means that you should have learned at least the basics of maths/economics at school.
But, if that was the case then we’d never have had a labour government ever before, because anyone who’s ever studied economics at school knows that labour ideology makes no economic sense and is always unsustainable and inevitably leads to economic destruction.
What I can’t understand is where the BBC dredge up their “economic experts” from who say that labour policy is valid, because I studied economics at school, and every single instance of labour-style policy in every country in the world has always led to collapse and logically makes no sense.
Where did they learn economics from if they’re experts? Was it some kind of “labour-sponsored economics curriculum”?
When I was at school, on the first economics lesson you’d start off with, say, 5 tories and 15 labour supporters, all with un-informed ideals.
As the first year progressed and people learned more about logic/economics/maths, most of the labour supporters would turn tory, and the labour-supporters who were arrogant and refused to listen to any form of reason would drop out.
By the end of the first year you’d end up with 15 tory supporters in the class, and 5 labour dropouts who’d left the class.
Those 5 labour dropouts would then become labour MPs I guess.
the very reason i believe economics needs to be a core subject in all secondary schools.
people then think for themselves.
as a nation we have a national advantage in that english is the international language of trade. then we squander our resources by ensuring every child in secondary has to learn a language or two or three.
probably because we have so many language teachers in situ and for no other reason.
economics is far more important.
Economics is an entirely human construct. It is not a science constrained by the laws of physics or nature. Consequently, humans can make it up as they go along, and bend economic ‘theory’ to their wishes. Sometimes they’re proved right in some circumstances, and sometimes they’re proved wrong.
Put the same question to 12 economists and you’ll get 13 definate opinions.
But only Gordons is right.
That’s his opinion. Anybody agree with him?
It was intended to be irony. Cannot stand him actually.
Try Austrian economics, as espoused by Mises, Rothbard and latterly, Schiff, Paul and Rockwell.
http://mises.org/
Darling is a failed lawyer who never made partner in the firm that he worked for. Brown is some sort of historian. So is Osborne. None of them has any talent, knowledge or even curiosity about financial or tax matters. This would be less important if they listened to people who did have such qualities, but they prefer instead to surround themselves with bankers.
“Brown is some sort of Historian”
Wasnt “The Historian” a book about a nightmarish vampire who sucked the lifeblood out of his victims and drained them dry . Yeah tht kinda makes sense.
Most of us will be happier when Brown is some sort of History.
A year or so ago I was lucky enough to listen to Alex Salmond as part of a reasonably small group.
Mr Salmond was chief economist with Royal Bank of Scotland and had similar positions in Public Sector before becoming an MP.
He made it very clear to the audience that he had great difficulty in explaining and getting Mr Darling to understand even the most basic of economic theory.
He was clearly frustrated at the lack of knowledge on the subject.
Brown has no formal economic training either.
As I understand it, this lack of understanding would make it impossible for either man to hold the position of Finance Minister in our major competitor countries such as France/Germany.
The finances of our nation has been trusted to incompetent untrained amateurs.
Frightening, really frightening, but it helps explain the position we now find ourselves in.
This morning I shot a duck in my pajamas, how he got into my pajamas I’ll never know.
If it was a duck, it was a ‘she’.
I have often shot a packet in my pajamas but never a duck.
This week the stock Market is going to tank. This N Korea A bomb test is making the eastern markets pucker up. When we open tomorrow brace yourselves. Will someone remember that I gave you the heads up????
Have you got any market tips?
I was thinking of going short on chances of conviction for fraud, and expenses futures. While going long on MPs salaries.
Not only is Darling up to his neck in it, especially since the rest of us have to pay tax for accountancy help while he doesn’t (for his tax return), Harm Men Harman managed a politically correct £10,000 drained from the tax payer’s purse for media help. No wonder the spinners managed to make her sound like a female Hitler so well. I would too, for £10,000 a pop.
But the real biscuit that’s been taken (mainly since they are so cool) Jacqui sodding Smith purchased an iPhone on expenses for her husband. Jesus.
I wish I could buy one but I have to save for it out of my own pocket.
I WONDER IF JACQUI WILL BUY ME ONE AS WELL? If I ask nicely… after all it’s a gravy train for freeloaders, so why not.
Bunch of troughers.
I was at University with Scarlett McGwire. I wish I had gone into PR like her, doing “media training” – £10,000 for a few days work would have been very nice…
Although how the f*** did the Fees Office agree this?
The downside is that I’d have had to spend several days with Harperson…
Is Scarlett Maguire any relation of the awful Daily Mirror hack ?
Our Scarlett “advises” politicians in Russia
Mr Putin by any chance ?!
http://www.flipkart.com/censorship-scarlett-mcgwire/0817255745-n7w3fvusle
Same spelling as the bird in The Scotsman getting £10 000 off Harriet Harm Man.
Interesting.
The do say that Porn is addictive
Harpic needs a training make-over. Lose the stern faced bulldog-chewing-a wasp look. Start wearing some girlie Laura Ashley stuff. You know you want to really. Stop talking like a NuLabour feminist robot, endlessly spouting man-hating sisterhood drivel. None of us believe that crap anymore. It’s just sooooo Greenham common. And finally, if you hate men so much, why are you working for one as fucking hopeless as the one eyed wanking snotgobbler?
Excuse me, an i pod is a necessary expense for a cabinet minister as we all have to be up to speed onthe PM’s favourite musical tastes, one minute its “The Artic Monkeys” then its “The Spice Girls” I mean what next The Screamo metal band “Cock and Ball Torture “
Camcorders are specifically excluded in part 5 of the Green Book at page 21 -
Expenditure not allowable:
Hospitality and entertainment
Camcorders
How did our Jacqui get one allowed ?
Jacqui used it to take some salacious footage of herself at work. Put me right off my taxpayers-funded food, it did.
I am still waiting to see how the Police deal with a fraudulent Home Secretary.
Will the Speaker give them permission to arrest her in Parliament, Live on TV at PMQ?
I wish.
Food expense allowed not.
Claim dark side it did.
HMMMMMMMMMMM!
An ipod is not a camcorder.
It is in fact a computer in the sense that you can surf the net with it to download news, news podcasts and email and of course porn
ITV were very definite that she had bought a camcorder as well as an iPod.
I mean iPhone (doh)
Is it not illegal to use taxpayers’ money for the private purpose of filing a personal tax return ?
Have you ever tried to throwaway a boomerang
I’m still trying.
I tried but
But I lost my privates
Guido, you still need a good cartoinist. This cartoon is not as good as any of the 97 duck-related cartoons feautured in last week’s papers.
What’s a cartoinist?
Jumbo, agree with you about Mrs Marr attack on Cam nasty ad hominen devoid of insight duck houses and moats are amusing but house flipping non payment of capital gains tax and buying their fucking biccies really gets people. Heard Anatole Kaletsky on R4 telling us the recession is over same silly sod who told us we wouldn’t have one. I think it means that the rollercoaster is going to have another downward plunge.
Trouble (re the guardian) is it’s read by teachers – and I mean fick teachers in it not for the teaching but for the holidays, like fick MPs not in with any goal except for the ex-es. Their (fick teachers’) badly hidden agenda since about 1982 was the demonisation of anywhere right of centre or beyond. A certain resignation to this evolved. Essentially the silent majority relinquished any passion toward politics. Now they’re back lively and the likes of fucking Jackie Ashley and the dwindling pack of collegaues she has can go fuck themselves. Apologies for post-lunch outburst. And that SCOTTISH Huhne JAMES NAUGHTI9E CAN FUCK OFF AND DIE HE IS SO FUCKING THICK …Shiraz, since you ask
Brown condemns N Korean nuclear test.
Kim Jong Il shits himself laughing.
North Korean nuclear test condemns Brown.
Now there is a headline.
Hated Despotic Leader of Totalitarian State condemns much revered movie-loving, coiffeured little asian chappie for trying to create one of what we have, for themselves, what we have in droves.
Excellent.
Well you know what they say two in the hand is worth one in the toilets .
As kim l jong shows gordon how to run a really scary communist country , and makes him jealous , we find ed milliband lifting camerons announcement and calling it his own .
gordon brown the prime minister who was so bad they had to change parliment to ensure he never happens again !!
The ducks just like the MPs didn’t spend much time in their taxpayer funded residence.
Here is a link to the report by the Committee of Standards and Privileges into the misuse of the second home allowance by Conservative MP Michael Trend in 2002.
Parliament knew that this abuse was wrong, and that an MP was censured for it and made a repayment in 2002.
The defence that it was “within the rules” does not stand up. The House knew it was wrong, and was against the rules.
http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200203/cmselect/cmstnprv/435/43503.htm
Interesting to check on the expense claims of any Committee members in the current Parliament, including those members who were absent on other business when this matter was considered.
Quote we do not believe that, when read with the Resolution itself, as Members were expected to do, there is any real scope for doubt that the words “main residence” were intended to have other than their natural meaning.”
So there you have it.
Moley, I think that would be when Elizabeth Filkin was Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards. Did such a good job a number of MPs conspired to hound her out.
So Mctwat is gonna have another relaunch, fightback or whatever the fuck on Friday with a National Plan for Britain.
What an utter tosser.
Which as we all know will be half-baked, cobbled-up platitudes and wishful thinking, most of which will be trumpeted loudly, then quietly forgotten. Should be good for a laugh.
Apparently, Fightback 69: The National Plan will pitch an optimistic, sunny, smiling Brown against those nasty, negative Austerity Tories, and show that as the economy recovers, Brown will cut the ballooning public debt while protecting public spending and increasing “investment”
So that’s higher taxes, Brown with a YouTube grin, and lots more printed money
A “National Plan” ?
Would that be a “National Socialist Plan” then ?
It’ll be the “Final Solution” next.
Labour National Plan
Do nothing
and hope the country does not collapse before the GE
and then blame the Tories
Simple really..
I’ve been mulling over @Anonamous’s posting a few days ago on another subject, that Briton is a nation of halfwits.
I’ve come to the conclusion he’s right.
Scrach someones car in a minor accident and they go fucking nuts.
Put their children’s education in the hands of a load of cheapskate liars and they don’t give a toss.
Have a society where taxes are in the gods, public service in the fucking basement, then shock horror and amazement when we find out someone built a duckhouse.
Are you and I on this blog the only ones who ask the question, Where the fuck has all the money gone. Yeah, we are, we are the only ones, and we will be classed as radicals, mackericks. Juvenile, immature idiots. I ask you who really cares about Britain, you and me, thats who care.
These scandels are not the real scandel, the real scandel is we have a society where people can’t be fucking bothered.
They would sooner leave it to others to run their lives for them, then moan all day when what a fucking surprise, their not running for you, their running for themselves.
Blair and Brown offer a free lunch as guess what it’s fucking sales day at Harrods. If it’s free it must be a bargain. Some fucking bargain eh.
It will only change when the bloke on the street can be bothered to change it. Will he, no.
It took the depression in the USA to change US politics, what a shocking indictment of modern Britain that even these expense scandels won’t change it.
They say they will reform it, don’t believe a fucking word of it. The clues are already there to read. Cameron defends Kilbride, and Bercow may be the new speaker.
Lunchbreaks over, everybody back on their heads, tomorrows another day, another sad day, where some kind is going to get a shit education, and be told their lucky to get it.
The real problem in Britain isn’t it’s politicians, the problems lie elsewhere, with a halfwit electorate, who don’t give a shit
Top quality rantin’ aswinterstale. Pretty close to the mark as well.
Anger over expense fiddles will change nothing, as you say, until the bloke on the street can be bovvered. On that note, I recall PM Bliar express the national apathy “does my face look bovvered” on some comedy show, at a time when a military campaign was raging in Iraq. He was a wicked & evil but skillful reader of public determination to do anything about the status quo and got out just in time to leave GB to carry the rotting stench of corruption to the end-game.
The really foul material has yet to emerge in print. The potlickticians who were on the take were invisibly kept silenced by this underhand bribery, just as local councilors are now paid & used to be voluntary, and both groups have been aware of the consultants now running government advancing the interests of their own clients in everything from education, prison service, health service IT, planning, subcontracted council social care provision, all the way to no-longer-NHS dental service and ID card companies who stand to make a crown mint.
We have allowed government, local and national, to subcontract the entire responsibilty of decision making into the private sector. No wonder government cowers behind the pretence of “openess & transparency” when complaints fail to be reconciled by Ombudsman and Institutes.
Next time I see “insufficient evidence to secure a likely prospect of conviction and not in th public interest” I feel people will start witholding payment to HMRC (no doubt the debt collection service will be subcontracted).
But how about council tax? We can take sub-threshold jobs and avoid paying Income tax but no-one is exempt from having to pay the chief exec of the council. The Queen’s head is on the coin (poor mite she was born into the job). It’s not Lambeth ruddy council’s bosses stamped in gold and silver though their blasted pensions are gold-plated.
Yipi, I think the bloke on the street will be bovvered when it comes come to roost.
In fairness to clueless half-wits everywhere. when more than a million lazy Brits DID get off their arses to protest about the war in Iraq who took any notice?
If the political class know they can safely ignore whatever happens on the streets is it a surprise Darren and Sharon stay at home to watch Eastenders?
At least the police didn’t beat them up like they did to the bigger crowd at the countryside alliance march *.
*and their march wasn’t a communist front group.
Maybe your right, but where the fuck are they now, How come Irag is off the radar screen. 5 minute fucking wonder, protest made, job done, principles kept, back to voting for my house price.
In spain they changed the government when they were lied to, here no-one gives a fuck.
I worked there once, they were people. Real people, looked like us, smelt like us, loved like us, made love like us, and shit like us.
Some deserved it, but not 600k, they were more than just Blairs ticket to riches, they still are.
That guy really understood people. Like gettin’ upset over the treatment of some character on Coronation Street.
Just reviewing the clip-board – it’s wot I’m trained to do, innit?

Yes, her ‘minge box’ has got ticks but she’s now taking some very efficacious powder to get rid of them.
Has Prezza announced he will be standing down at the next Election yet ??
What ? And he hasn’t brought my scotch on the rocks yet.
Don’t disturb my John. He’s on the bog, you know. Or possibly the other one…

Guido
Why “moderation” ?
All of this can be proven..
And you, among many others, were on the receiving end of the McBride smears !
Are you subject to any injunctions at the moment Guido
Who has replaced McBride as the Chief Labour Smearer ?
That’d be the BBC I believe.
Al-beeb are not reporting yeaterdays Luton riots yet
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1187165/Nine-arrested-masked-mobs-march-Muslim-extremists-turns-violent.html
There’s a lot of squaddies in those photos.
Hence the masks.
Well done.
We decide what’s news you fucktards.
As I’ve said before this is a tipping point.
The expenses scandal is not about a few million quid wasted on MPs – Gordon’s trillion pound debt will will dwarf that.
The expenses scandal is when the hypercritical ruling classes lost control of their politically correct, liberal, multicultural agenda.
History has shown replacing conscience with compliance is a fools path.
You mean there’s another BBC that you CAN believe ?????
I believe he’s still there – have asked my MP to enquire on my behalf.
Seemed very happy to do this. We’ll see.
By your beds chaps
Nadine’s back and blogging…
http://blog.dorries.org/id-1395-2009_5_Why_I_Did_What_I_Did.aspx
Yes!!! I need a good laugh.
Did the little green men tell her to write all those things on her blog ?
Was she kidnapped by the Barclay Bros. taken by Hovercraft to Sark and thence their secret underground lair and subjected to a diabolic mindwipe!!!!
(which for fairly obvious reasons would not work)
I shall prepare my tin-foil hat so I can read it in earnest free from the Barclay Bros. fiendish hypnorays.
Jesus, better than Playboy.
This is 100% comedy gold!!!!!
Jeeesus! Is there no-one around to warn her not to post this babbling nonsense ?
Cameron must send a couple of Whips round at once.
On second thoughts don’t! This is far too good to shutdown.
http://blog.dorries.org/images/H1.jpg
You know what I mean?
Apparently, lots of MPs fancy her. Which figures.
If she came to my place I might let her sit on the washing machine. Nothing more.
There are bloody limits.
“It was shortly after reading the Saturday morning press when realising that with the Archbishops comments, that at least I had God on my side, I began to vomit.”
Wrong my child, that William Bishop whats his name, he isnt one of mine. I still have you down in the not to be allowed in list.
I intend to vote for the lot the establishment hate most.
They have to have Something going for them, particularly when the Archbishop of Canterbury, who is the worst in recorded history having sold out on his church and country, says I mustn’t. Very persuasive argument I find.
I really object to Archbshops lecturing me on voting intentions.
Of course it would be nice if we could see this party and its leaders discuss their policies with others within the media.
We Can’t, blatant political censorship is being practised here.
More rot in the system.
Maybe if I could actually hear what they have to say I may reconsider my vote, bearing in mind I find their leader gross (just about on a par with the other political leaders), however looking at their other candidates, often with military and police backgrounds , I must say many look a cut above the crap we have now. They seem to have actually held jobs.
My suspicion is that they are being censored because too many of us may like what they say.
If as suggested they win a few Euro seats, adding to the impressive number of council seats they hold, the time is coming when censorship will no longer be acceptable by even certain parts of the establishment – being so blatant.
Meanwhile I refuse to be treated like an impressionable child, not considered able to hear what a political party has to say and make a reasoned judgement.
My vote is given on the basis that they cannot be worse than the traitorous thieves and liars that infest our political system now.
One of the things that makes me laugh are the people who are always shouting about freedom and democracy are usually the first to call for a ban on “fascists”. I thought the idea of democratic debate was that every opinion was valid,no matter how much you disagree with it. Only by bringing debate in to the open, can ideas be tested by rational logic. If the bandp’s policies are without foundation, they would be shown to be so by argued rationale. Perhaps the established parties fear the challenge, but one thing is for sure, the more attempts there are to silence them, the more voters they will attract
But it looks as though Denial of Service attacks on political parties are restricted to that party’s website.
It was limping along for a period this afternoon but is again unavailable.
Very accurate article IMO.
I hope this post makes it past Guidos mods, that would be kind of him and show that he does not object to the principle of freedom of speech
But you can only join their party if you have a white skin. Kmowing that, why would you be interested in anything else they have to say?
i sport bmp for self steam off inlish peepel
You can only join the black police officers association if you are black. Is’nt that the same thing. I did’nt say wether or not they were right, i make the point that in a democracy that opinion is their right to hold without being silenced.
Because of this.
http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,,25361297-7583,00.html
We need a Constitution which gives us freedom of speech.
Just read this article. We’ve all tut-tutted over individual examples of PC-gone-mad, but read together like this, it’s frightening. Thanks for a great post, Anonymous.
Thanks for the link -have blogged it.
I couldn’t read it all, I just couldn’t fucking read it all. God fucking forbid
Its not about skin colour as you know full well, its about the British people having a homeland, its about native British peoples getting to decide their own laws and live in peace in their own homeland, the very last thing this is about is skin colour.
Every nation and peoples of the world deserve their own homeland, a land where native peoples control their own destiny, the UK is a tiny island with a wonderful past and a bright future IF we take back our nation and stop this nation becoming a dumping ground for the criminals, chancers on the make and scum of the world.
If you wish to live in a country you must respect that nations right to its own unique culture and accept that the native peoples laws and customs are inviolate.
Cassandra makes a heartfelt arguement. However it contains a flaw. For example in her final sentence she introduces the concept
‘Native peoples laws’.
When this has been tried it has led to disaster.
I think it was Dave Allen who said “Throw a stone into a group of bandp supporters, and the chances of hitting a 100% pure bred Anglo saxon are astronomical”
Trying to define Britishness on the grounds of racial purity is absurd. We have a long history of immigration that goes back thousands of years.
Mahmood Hussain reputedly told Elaina Cohen, his Muslim supporters would not vote for her because she was Jewish.
How many black and asian conservative MP’s are there? Bigotry is’nt just confined to the bandp.
But it is not enshrined in the constitution. There is racial prejudice everywhere, not just in the old South Africa, but in aparteid they made racial prejudice part of their constitution. It was enshrined in their laws.
As for the “Black Police Officers Association” I don’t think too highly of that either and cerainly don’t think the answer is a White Mans Party.
Nor do i. But i’m trying to make the point that all attempts to marginalise them gives them the ammo to say “We’re being silenced because we speak the truth” Give them the platform that the other political views get, then we can examine their policies with open debate
Personally I agree with that. Give them enough rope….
But this is Guido’s blog and having a bunch of racists on here gives his enemies a convenient excuse to belittle his libertarian views – by association – which are about as far removed from the control freakery of the BNP as you could hope.
“gives his enemies a convenient excuse to belittle his libertarian views”
These enemies, i would suggest, are the same people who want the bandp silenced
doctor mick is talking shit again.
you dr mick are a zionists supporter and a racist.
your views are very similar regarding Palestine’s children as the BN P views regarding non-white British citizens.
as I have said before dr dick, you are probably suffering from paranoid schizophrenia involving delusions of grandeur.
in short, you are a fucking bi-polar nutter:1st Class.
now take your bullshit elsewhere you fucking c’unt.
and how stupid do you think the reader is? last week you were extolling the white supremacy of israelis over Palestinians and this week you are rallying against the BN P.
you are off your head.
They surely have their own website where all manner of things can be trumpeted and babbled about more to your liking.
This is Guidos site not theirs and you don’t need to like it but his is the last word on what will be seen here as he is likely far more experienced with the Laws of the Land as applied to websites and the protocols and intricacies of hosting a popular Political Blog than you.
The amusing thing is that the B&P and Ukip will indeed get a far larger share than usual but then find that everyone will very soon forget about them and still keep talking about the main Parties. As the fringe party vote will be written off by almost everyone as a protest against the disgusting piggery and nothing more.
“This is Guidos site not theirs and you don’t need to like it but his is the last word on what will be seen here as he is likely far more experienced with the Laws of the Land as applied to websites and the protocols and intricacies of hosting a popular Political Blog than you.”
What does this mean? are you saying only posts that agree with Mr Fawkes’s political views can be left here. Do you speak for him?
Of course I don’t claim to speak for him. Don’t be ridiculous.
And I was clearly not speaking of his Party affiliation.
Indeed it was never even mentioned till you brought it up.
But I’ve been to enough sites over the years to know that they all have their own way of doing things and they all draw a line somewhere.
I mentioned the Law because, like it or not, there is still a Law of Libel as the eccentric Nadine found out. So don’t pretend faux naïvit that there may be some things that will be subject to moderation.
If something is grossly defamatory, baseless smearing or breaks the Law in some way, I merely point out that Guido might, just might, be more familiar with how such things operate than the casual poster here is.
And YES that does of course include me.
Guidos Politics are assuredly not my own but I don’t whine that he does not skew his blogs views or policies towards my own personal tastes.
I don’t feel that what i’ve said is in any way libellous, defamatory, baseless smearing or unlawfull. perhaps you could enlighten me?
bmp sporters agree 1000 persent wif geedo
What part of “I don’t claim to speak for him” didn’t you understand ?
I’m just pointing out the obvious. That blogs and sites policies and moderation vary according to whoever run them.
I never claimed you had done any of those things only that those are things that can lead to moderation. Again merely pointing out the obvious.
By all means complain away if you feel you are achieving something or have been cruelly treated in some way.
But I recommend you do your own enlightening.
“I’m just pointing out the obvious. That blogs and sites policies and moderation vary according to whoever run them.
I never claimed you had done any of those things only that those are things that can lead to moderation. Again merely pointing out the obvious.”
Thats twice you’ve pointed out the obvious, but i still don’t see what thats got to do with the price of bread.
old and of no use,
yes, I can enlighten you.
you are a tired old c’unt.
now fuck off you old duffer.
thankyou.
Give it a rest.
You’ll wear it down to a point.
The ABC’s thoughts are far too subtle for any news story to report. For the benefit of readers without degrees in theology, I can summarise them as follows:
1) On the one hand, this.
2) On the other hand, that.
3) In most situations it is better to be nice to people than to be nasty to them.
4) You will recall that the Finnish philosopher Päivi Mehtonen had some very interesting things to say about obscurity and nonsense…….. (continues 40 minutes)
5) Let us now sing Hymn 412, All Things Green and Recyclable.
With you there 100%
The AB of C + other fawning, PC ‘inter-lect-yawls’ say ‘go that way’.
So it’s clear that any sane person goes exactly oppo.
‘Democracy’ Dave
http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/news/article-1186956/Q-Are-worth-30m-David-A-Sam-spent-Peter-Hitchens-sees-Tory-leader-confront-loyal-opposition.html
Peter Hitchens is a secret Labour supporter. The lowest form of shit known to mankind.
Quote from Peter Hitchens
If Mr Cameron really wants to find out what the people of West Oxfordshire think about him, his mortgage and his chimney, I suggest he hires a bigger hall, advertises the event both to local people and the national media, and holds it when normal men and women won’t be at work.
I believe what this titbrain is referring to is called a General Election.
Still no mention of this on Al-Beeb:
Nine arrested after masked mob’s march against Muslim extremists turns violent in Luton
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1187165/Nine-arrested-masked-mobs-march-Muslim-extremists-turns-violent.html
The dhimmis are fighting back against the caliphate.
More pizza for the Luton boys!!
The photo of the Islamist demonstration against the British Army is shocking and horrifying…
Agreed
“We are in Karachi now…”
Give them ragheads hell, boys!!
Wintertons stepping down at next election:
breaking news at the grauniad
More details:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2009/may/25/wintertons-expenses-cameron-conservative
And the DT:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mps-expenses/5326205/Sir-Nicholas-and-Ann-Winterton-to-stand-down-from-parliament-MPs-expenses.html
“According to the Daily Telegraph, Lady Winterton also claimed for more than £1,100 on items including a £67 towel rail, an £18 “toilet brush holder” and a £16.99 “loo handle”.
According to the newspaper, the claims for 2004-05 to 2007-08 also show that Lady Winterton claimed for £120 of bathroom accessories, a £94 iron and ironing board, and £165 to cover chairs at the flat. She also submitted claims for nearly £11,000 in service charge bills for the flat. In addition, the couple claimed a total of £11,410 for food.”
I could buy 36,000kg of pig food for that £11,410. No wonder Winterton is so fucking porky.
If they were both minced up you could get quite a few tins of dog food out of them. It would be the only useful thing the two troughing twats had done in their entire fucking existence.
Yum Yum….Lovely meaty chunks, rich in marrow bone jelly!
Slug shite
Brilliant. He says in the Telegraph “Parliament and my constituency have been my life for almost 38 years (and politics in general for almost 50 years)”…..
which is exactly why he should fuck off.
AND GET A REAL JOB LIKE THE REST OF US !
Sky_ Wintertons to stand down at next election
If you are thinking of voting for an independent candidate at the next election then spend five minutes reading this first:
“Politics for the People Politics without Parties Politics with Principles”
http://www.juryteam.org/
Are there two comma’s missing from their slogan?
No apostrophe in “commas” please.
Dear A Greater Pedant,
Please forgive me in advance for any mistakes I might make in this posting. If I include a mistake will saying sorry be sufficient recompense? If you are an MP please stand for Speaker. It would be so entertaining to hear you correct every fuckwit that stands up in the chamber, especially the PM. Please give this serious consideration. Thank you for your attention.
We are a Political Party that does not believe in any political Party except us.
There is so much small print on their website that I gave up.
Who is behind them and what is their agenda.?
Answer in no more than three short sentences please.
Apparently Esther Rantzen has signed up.
http://www.juryteam.org/blog/?p=595
And Martin Bell.
And some other bloke.
Sounds like just what I am after…
Fuck, that was five sentences.
Read the blurb…. La Rantzen calls herself the ‘new girl’.F…F…..S…..If she is selected and IF there is a GE next year she will be 70 when she takes her seat in the HOC.They’ll have to install a Stanna stairlift for her.Love to read her expenses….50 Incontinence pads,100 packets Andrex moist wipes,3 pairs of dentures. Wouldn’t want ot be sitting too close to her.
As for Martin Bell, the White Tide Man (over 50s only). He was useless the last time around. Now I know he is a friend of Alistair Campbell, well, that about explains it all.Would you vote for him?
So we’ll have ex BBC t……..rs taking over the HOC? No thanks.
Rantzen is an egocentric trying to revive her a career. Just ask a few people who worked with her at the BBC and you’ll know why she’s loathed.
She would !
The blind leading the blind
That’s all we need !
So it’s really the BBC party? Funded by the Licence Fee??
They sem to be a bunch of inexperienced luvvies…!!
You can join for £5. Or you can send £5 to me with the same end result.
Peter Piper Picked a Peck Of Pickled Pepper Party
I think it’s a brilliant idea and they shall be getting my vote.
I’d rather see one of them get a seat, than any of the other ‘mad as a box of frogs ‘ parties.
Apart from anything else, at least they all have the sense to realise that this country is well and truly stuffed and something needs to be done and soon.
There are millions of people whinging and whining about things but won’t make an effort to do anything about it, at least those guys have stood up to be counted and for that alone, I take my hat off to them.
Don’t know if anyone else has posted this (post numbers all over the place today for some reason) but the Wintertons are standing down at the next election. Not before time I say.
Excellent
About 430 still to “stand down” (or go to jail)
We must keep up the pressure on all the remaining Members of this House of Whores…
And House of Pe-ers…
Great excuse they gave ‘ they can no longer stand the hectic place of political life’ !!
Nothing to do with the expenses scandal then and the fact that they were amongst the worst offenders ?
No doubt their constituencies are begging them to stay – another delusional pair.
Nothing to do with expenses – - They want to spend more time with their family.
Is it really that bad?
Total bullshit, how long have they fed us lines like that? They are going because the game is up! no more freebies… and these people still try to shovel us shit like that… fucking spin, sick and tired of it!!
So those two past masters at troughing, the despicable Wintertons have decided to stand down at the next election to relieve themselves of the “hectic pace” of politics. You couldn’t make it up. Hope they both have hearty attacks before the next election
Jumping before they were pushed. Despicable pair of troughers . Good riddance.
why don`t you deal with Kirkbride first.
Thank God for that.Their flat scam was deporable and impossible to defend.Public life will be better for their absence.Shame we have to pay them a pension.
Couldn’t stand the pace of filling in enough expenses forms more like!
Look at the photograph, dolled up all “respectable”. I have had more money fleeced off me by “respectable” shits than any “hoodie”
“Some will rob you with a six-gun,
And some with a fountain-pen”
–Woodie Guthrie.
When the pace of troughing is too hectic so even accomplished, experienced troughers have to take respite, things have gone far too far!
That’s one way of getting rid of the fuckers. More please!
Troughertons both stepping down!
Julie Kirkbride should go next. How can her husband be guilty and yet she be judged innocent?
She’s prettier! He’s….er ..well you’ve seen him!
You are being UGLEist!
I’m allowed to – because I’m ugly too
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Julie Kirkbride may be ‘pretty’ on the surface but it doesn’t excuse her for dishonest acts. And her grasping actions don’t say much for what sort of person she and all these other thieving MP’s are in reality.
WAH…
There are more shirt lifters in the other parties.
Call girls would be believeable for a Tory but not rent boys.
Good try.
link?
I call bullshit
It’s kicking off against the muslims in lovely Luton:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1187165/Nine-arrested-masked-mobs-march-Muslim-extremists-turns-violent.html
Their religion guarantees them eternal paradise if they kill us.
But not all of them follow it, apparently.
So not to worry.
I’m no racist (I know they all say that) but I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK !
They can’t frighten Guido.
He’s usually too pissed to care.
I thought Guido was a Papist?
A Pa pissed?
Is he still classed as a Papist even though he hasn’t kissed the Popes ring?
we have photographic evidence that disproves this proposition
It is forbidden to mention the Pope’s ring; homophobic language is not allowed in Neue Britayne.
Caroline Flint is calling on the Labour sisterhood to stand up and defend the carrot topped one.
Gordon is not to be allowed to sack his Communities Minister!! And Gordon is to start listening to the women in the party!!
The Labour Party is beginning to implode.
And Gordon has his fingers stuck in his ears at the moment so he can’t hear anyone.
faro linen clit
‘Gordon has his fingers stuck in his ears’
his ears ?? !!
our pockets – surely?
Up his arse surely. Or somebody else’s.
This is going to be fun
The Labour Sisterhood
When will the Poison Dwarf give Dirty Tricks the Kiss of Death ?
I love it
The Labour girls have far more cojones that the whole Labour Brotherhoooood !
Go Labour luvvie girls go
Castrate your male brothers
Do us that favour at least…!!
Are you not David Cameron’s mother-in-law by any chance ?
THE FEMALE IS ALWAYS MORE DEADLY THAN THE MALE !
Only if they’re Labour – they’re slavishly addicted to a style of aggresssive feminism that the rest of us have long since dismissed as rubbish.
Even Germain Greer matured her views a bit over the years – but this lot are still parotting the undiluted outdated feminism of their Uni days, which are long since gone as though their brain hasn’t been able to develop from the age of 22.
Harriett of course is the worst offender.
Still never mind their day is nearly over.
My accountant said it was ok.
When I looked in the mirror.
Are you sure political life is not getting too hectic for you?
I have no doubt Ed Balls Accountant said it was OK – taking account of Ed’s/Yvette’s ACA expenses, Travel Expenses and Offices Expenses together with the rest (Ministerial Cars,Business Class Air Travel, First Class Train Travel, Communications Allowances etc etc ) plus two minister’s salaries – they’re costing us more than the Queen!!!!
Any opinion polls out today ?
Guido, and whatever ban he chooses to place on his site, (and that is up to him) is just a small unimportant crumb in the whole question of the blatant political censorship being operated in this country by the establishment – the elite or the political class.
All interchangeable tabs.
The link to the Australian article was superb. Read it everybody and ponder.
Ponder hard.
Is this the Britain that generations of our forebears have fought and died for. Fought and died in the name of freedom and so called democracy. A democracy which needs to blanket out a political party to make sure the people don’t get to vote for it.
Some rotten democracy.
NO!
My father served in the second world war, RAF, for the duration.
My grandfather in the first – at Galipoli and on the Somme.
I remember them well enough to know the outrage they would feel to watch a calculated and widepsread deliberate censorship of one political party in a country which dares to lecture the planet on freedom and democracy.
Worse, a country complicit to the murder of some million Iraqis in the name of democracy and freedom and now the murder of untold Afghans in the same phony claim.
This is an obscenity, frankly.
Remember we bombed the defenceless Serbs for 78 unrelenting days and nigts – for freedom and democracy.
FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY.
What utter hypocrisy and humbag.
The political class and media, not to mention Archbishops, wouldn’t know it if they fell over it. Not that we do have any sovereignty much left in which to practise it. The same conspiracy of treason have sold that down the pan as well.
I know how I am voting on June 4th and I am amazed as to how many others I meet, who feel the same way.
When I can get to hear the political platform of the unmentionables and the arguments opposing them – then I could well think them not worth a vote.
Until I do, they cannot possibly be worse than our political masters who are telling me what to do. Who have betrayed my country and people down the tube and murder unfortunates around the globe in my name.
Excellent post
Difficult for anyone to argue with
But there will always be the smearers
Tho’ Guido and others have done a good job shutting them up for a while
and we know who the smearers are and how they operate now !
I URGE ALL BRITISH EXPATS (WHO STILL RETAIN BRITISH PASSPORTS)WHO LEFT THE UK UP TO 15 YEARS AGO TO REGISTER TO VOTE IN THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION….Yes,it’s all legal. All you have to do is contact the local council where you last voted in the UK.
If all expats voted and provided some of them had previously lived in either safe Labour seats, marginal seats and any dodgy Tory and LD’s seat, they could make a big difference.I have tried to find out how many people would be eligible to vote.Even if just half of the 300,000 plus a year who left, voted, then that is a sizeable amount. If they lived in some of those scumbag Labour constituencies, this could change things. So despite the likes of Jack Straw allowing the floodgates to open to the Muslim brotherhood and all the flotsam and jetsam of the world. We could get rid of the likes of him and Jackie and even little Haze. How many people have left Salford in the last 15 years?Even if she had a majority of 20,000,it could still be possible to vote her out. What about the people who left Dunfermline.Even Gorgon Gordon could be out.
I presume that most people who left did so to get a better life for themselves and their families. They won’t be the NULiebor’s client state will they?
There will be massive voting fraud in the forthcoming elections. We know who the perpetrators will be.Nu-Liebor will do everything to hang on to power. So if any of you decent people who read GUIDO’s blog have friends and family abroad,do let them know.
YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS THEM TO HELP YOU REGAIN YOUR DEMOCRACY
I am just waiting for someone to light the spark so I can buy my Easyjet ticket and join in the fun. Much better than postal voting.
Is there ONE motherfucking Englishman with enough balls to kick it off though?
Probably thousands.
However their message would be censored and they would be charged with PC crimes against humanity.
No longer can a person or movement get coverage – it must be a politically acceptable person or movement. Otherwise they are ignored and frozen out.
Wat Tyler would get nowhere today. Oliver Cromwell would be pushing it.
So jump on a plane and damn well vote please.
The other day there was a council by election in Hazel Blears constituency.
What we were not told – and I bothered to look – was that almost certainly an ethnic vote returned Labour but the unmentionables increased their vote total from a smaller proportion of the voters taking part.
Last year 20% roughly. This year 17.5%. Yet the vote went up to challenge the lib dems. They were a close third. The tories flunked.
However we are not allowed to know – it might encourage us to vote.
I do think the banned could do more to help themselves mind you.
A new and more personable leader would go down well and make it harder for the media and elite to get away with such gross censorship.
we are with you…we shall not fail you…just say the word.

So the National Plan is to churn out some utter bollocks through BBC Pravda, causing a mass display of dancing in the streets to celebrate the genius of the great leader.
You can’t say he’s not being conscientious about trying to save his own fucking skin, the devious little twat.
Anyway, I thought we’d already had twelve years of McTwat’s plan to fuck us all up the arse, and now we’re expected to vote for another five? Who does he think he is, Stalin? Oh yeah……
Isn’t it time we loosed off a nuke at Sellafield to show how prepared we are to fight off imperialist aggressors and protect the homeland?

“I was threatened under the Terrorist Act. I had to answer every question they put to me, and if there were any questions I would refuse to answer, I would be arrested. I thought to myself, what kind of world are we living in?”
Why, we’re living in Browntopia of course. Wonderful, innit! A bit rich coming from the Pravda though, especially considering they are complicit in our loss of freedoms. Oh and let’s not forget this little gem, they were so fond of showing:
BBC is saying the Wintertons are both standing down at the next election
It’s one thing to have reckless troffers, but the very calculated double dipping that this pair have been up gives police all the “intent” they need.
“It also emerged that Mr MacKay and Miss Kirkbride claim for each other’s travel costs, on top of their own travel expenses.
Under an allowance to meet pay for spouse’s travel, she claimed £1,392 while he pocketed £408.
* Miss Kirkbride has now hung up twice when quizzed over the scandal on the radio. In 2007, she put the phone down when asked about the couple’s ‘unusual’ financial arrangements by a BBC Hereford and Worcester radio interviewer. On Saturday night, she was quizzed about her brother by Radio 5 Live’s Stephen Nolan. After twice reading a prepared statement, she hung up again”.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1187123/Calls-Julie-Kirkbride-follow-husband-Andrew-MacKay-stand-down.html
Kirkbride is a total crook. You are quite right. A few more facts:
1 Ian Kirkbride`s home is in Julie Kirkbride`s Bromsgrove flat. It is his home and has been his home for nearly 12 years.
2. It was refurbished in 1997-1999 at public expense and following a remortgage by Kirkbride in 2003 it was refurbished again at public expense. Thousands of pounds worth of antiques were billed to Bromsgrove, paid on expenses, then delivered to London home.
3. Ian Kirkbride has been paid an average of £40,000 including expenses out of parliamentary allowance for computer consultancy work, a total of £503,000.
4. Ian Kirkbride runs a business from the flat and invoices for parliamentary funds.
Last year he invoiced over £1,000 for this with similar amounts in earlier years.
5. Julie Kirkbride employed a nanny in the guise of a secretary on her parliamentary allowance. This was Naomi Dent daughter of Rita Dent association secretary also on parliamentary allowance and wife of association chairman Alan Dent. A complete fraudulent conspiratorial web.
There is enough here for the police to get their teeth into. And this is the tip of the iceberg, Respond if you want more.

Our Soldiers are trained to have pride, love our Country and possibly to die with honour on a foreign battle field. Which of our present Honourable MPs of any colour have been in battle? Any of them?
The first thing I would like to witness apart from an immediate General Election, is the word “Honourable” removed from the names of each and every MP in the land, both now and in future. They have debased our language, taken the meaning from each word of English until the “Truth” tastes like poisen. I am proud of being British, proud that my Father served his Country in the Forces for 40 years, proud of his MBE and also love my Country.
These PMs seem to know no shame, have no honour and should stand the trial of not only Public Opinion but the Law too. Many have knowingly committed fraud and should stand trial. Some are simply criminals and thieves, who should go first. We need the Queen to say something or perhaps one of our Generals on behalf of the poor troops in Afganistan. Right now I am truly ashamed of what we have become and allowed to happen to a once Great Britain.
I feel sorry for the soldiers having to fight for the honour of this country. They must be really pissed about all of this.
Dirk, I thought you were dead.
The Police are not going to do anything, they have their orders. Our country is finished.
The only option left is a mass vote for the party that must not be named as a cry of protest.
we are with the people. if the people speak we will mobilise.
see 559 he is right
I’m all for Elecrical Reform of Parliament – wire them up, plug them in and away we go!!
About time we banned people who want to ban things
Done.
“Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things”.
“If you have ten thousand regulations you destroy all respect for the law”.
When McMental calls in the Army to keep order he is in for a fucking shock.
They will keep order but they will not take orders from that fucking idiot or the Hoons around him.
We will have safe streets where they patrol, polite young men who know the meaning of service.
Apologies to decent coppers, of which there are many.
Bring on the coup
OH!
And chances are he will shot for treason
There will be some good come out of this after all then.
Mr Beast, I know you’ve been bashing the bishop for years, but since when did it lead to an Archbishoprick?
Just seen Ed Militwat and Postman Pat urging the case for PR.
Strange how attractive PR looks when you face a fucking wipe out at the next election.
Duplicitous cυnts.
Actually I think our Armed Forces are the only thing that give us cause to have pride in our country at the moment. And I hope they know that’s how we feel about them.
And let’s not be racist about this. There are all creeds and colours in our Armed Forces and they all fight with honour. The Gurkhas have proved that.
One of the main reasons I am going to vote Conservative next time around is because I expect the Tories to ensure that our Armed Forces are better equipped than they are now under this grubby thieving government where ministers have leached the system for their own benefit and left our fighting men and women on the front line with shoddy or no equipment because they said there was a shortage of money.
I don’t even know who is Defence Minister at the moment – he is so low profile – so without a voice!!! That’s how little interest this Government has in our Armed Forces.
Very well said, Nell
Labour have always seen the armed forces as ‘forces of conservatism’ and to be done down in their new society – but then send them on two wars as well as many other pretty grim operations in Sierra Leone, Bosnia, etc.
The hypocrisy of Blair, Brown and the rest has been unbelievable – but I blame Brown most of all for cynically depriving the forces of adequate funding.
It’s not just the Defence minister though is it. When you think of the fantastic statesmen and stateswomen – from both sides of the house – this country has produced over the last 100 years alone. People who could walk into any meeting of world leaders and command respect for their depth of knowledge, experience, and communication skills.
And then you look at the front bench over the last 10 years…………..
RIP Great Britain.
oh goody, dick the prick, a man who can be depended upon to spout the party line has decided to open his gobby mouth, excellent.
so tell me dick, what do you think about millionaire housing benefit claimants?
and answer none there came, for dick is a criminally minded and tribally partisan retard.
fuck off you dick.
you are part of the problem.
and david cameron is a fraudster because he has made unnecessary claims upon the public purse to pay for the interest payments on his extravagantly expensive house. he claimed even though he has fucking loads of other properties he could live in and would not need to claim the interest payments were he to live in one of his many other houses.
what a fucking fraud eh?
the leader of the tory party is a fraudster! chop the thief’s hands off I say.
what say you, dick?
how do you like those apples?
I’m telling you this place isn’t as good as Balmoral but it’s still driving them quackers with jealousy…………..
That’s right. Let just vote for the same TOO BIG TO FAIL parties! After all it’s made the twentieth century so great. No wars, no poverty, no police state, full meritocracy. Oh no sorry I just woke up and found IT WAS ALL A LIE!!!!!!!!!! Vote for ANYONE other than the establishment triangle parties: smae triangle but one side is RED, the other BLUE, the other sickly YELLOW. ALL side of the evil triangle lead to PRISON BRITAIN. Fuck you scum I WANT MY FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
