+++ LORD DRAYSON QUITS +++

After spending all that money on his peerage to become a Minister, he is quitting to race at Le Mans.

According to the Beeb

He is to take leave of absence from his unpaid post to take part a series of qualifying events in the US. A government spokesman said it was “a key step towards his eventual dream of success” in Le Mans.

Makes a change from the “spending more time with the family” excuse. He has the money, why not? More fun than smarming up to dodgy arms traders and the like…

John Higginson of the Metro explains Quantitative Easing:

“There is £100 and 100 loaves of bread costing £1 each. QE creates another £100. Each loaf now costs £2.”

DisgustedOfMitcham2 says:

Maybe if they really wanted to “decontaminate the Labour brand” with business people, they shouldn’t have totally buggered up the economy?

Just a thought.
