John Bowis MEP, health spokesman for the Conservatives in the European Parliament, sent out a press release from Strasbourg, the world capital of
foie gras consumption, yesterday:
“Unhealthy lifestyles and diets are taking their toll with some 2.6 million people living with heart and circulatory disease in the UK… Drinking too much alcohol as well as an unhealthy diet, being overweight, smoking and a lack of physical exercise are known lifestyle risk factors to the health of your heart…We need to give a stronger focus to preventative measures, promotion of healthy lifestyles and targeting high risk groups.”
He doesn’t seem to have adopted the policy does he?
