Well done, Merv, great comment. I hope your Mother’s proud of you.

It’s amazing how some people come on here and think ‘Guido’s acerbic, I’ll be acerbic, and I’ll be acerbic by swearing’. The difference is Guido’s witty, they ain’t. Merv you’re a prime example.

Hilarious people like Merv make the comments bit of this website a complete waste of electrons.

    Labour were invited.

Had Patricia Hewitt/Lord Hunt turned up, they probably would have been lynched.

Patsy will lose her job over this – remember, you heard it here first…

Lord Hunt. Now there’s a politician who is his own rhyming slang…

There is no excuse for being rude about the likes of David Cameron or Tony Blair. No excuse.

As a doctor who was actually there, I have to say the headline is rather misleading. We were hardly wow-ed by David Cameron – he was saying what he knew we wanted to hear – we’re not that stupid.

Yes, Cameron was cheered, but so was the Lib Dem bloke who turned up and lambasted Hewitt too. A shout out was also given by the organisers to Tom Gibson – the Labour MP who initiated the early day motion against the new government training scheme.

Basically ANYONE who said that the system was a shambles and that Patricia Hewitt and her DoH apparatchiks are a bunch of incompetent, arrogant, out-of-touch idiots would have been cheered by the doctors.

Andrew Pierce on Ed Balls…

“Porky Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls sweet-talked guests at a fund-raising dinner by saying if he wasn’t a politician, he would be a chef. That’s not surprising, since he was accused of cooking the Treasury books when he was Gordon Brown’s boot boy.”
