Julia Hartley-Brewer and arch-Corbynite former Labour MP Chris Williamson have had a mega 15-minute spat this afternoon on Julia’s TalkTV show over Israel/Palestine. Alongside the usual Hamas apologist lines Williamson claimed the “zionist entity” is responsible for “spurning” peace and Israel is “worse than Nazis actually in some respects“. Hartley-Brewer was having none of it and came back swinging. The clip’s worth a watch…
Considered words from the leader of the free world this morning as Biden was asked if he supported a “hostages-for-ceasefire” deal:
“We should get… we should have a ceasefire… not a ceasefire, we should have those hostages released, and then we can talk“. The official US line is that a ceasefire is only a boon to Hamas…
Shadow Cabinet Office Minister Florence Eshalomi called for an “immediate humanitarian ceasefire” in the Commons yesterday before getting the Hansard transcript amended to say “humanitarian corridor”. If only it were as easy as that for Biden…
Former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan and conspiracy theorist Craig Murray has been arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act after returning to the UK from a Pro-Palestine protest outside the Icelandic Parliament. It comes as no surprise considering his outrageous tweet supporting Hamas terrorists…
To be entirely plain.
I have always viscerally opposed war. I have dedicated my life to conflict resolution and reconciliation.
But in the coming Gaza genocide, every act of armed resistance by Hamas and Hezbollah will have my support.
If that is a crime, send me back to jail.— Craig Murray – (@CraigMurrayOrg) October 14, 2023
This isn’t the first time Murray’s been arrested. He was previously sentenced to eight months in prison after he was found to be in contempt of court over blogs written during the trial of the former Scottish first minister Alex Salmond. Rehabilitation clearly didn’t work for him…
The EU spent $100 million of taxpayer’s money on 30 miles of water pipes in Gaza and Palestine, steel pipes that have been dug up by Hamas and used to make rockets. So much for Hamas caring about secure water supplies for Gazans…
Interesting video released by al-Qassam Brigades (Hamas' military wing) showing how it digs out water pipes meant for Gazans and uses them to make rockets that are fired indiscriminately at Israel. Absolutely evil. #Gaza pic.twitter.com/eV1DwOarVc

Hamas boasted about repurposing the pipes as rocket casings to fire into Israel in a video that surfaced back in 2021. Despite this, the EU continued to fund another 10 miles of water pipes in 2022.
The BBC have been blasted for failing to label Hamas as terrorists. Despite Hamas being a legally proscribed terrorist organisation in the UK, the US and other countries, the BBC’s style guide for Palestinian and Israeli conflict states that “terrorism is a difficult and emotive subject… we should not use the term ‘terrorist’ without attribution.” This hasn’t stopped the BBC using the “T” word in other cases at home…
Several MPs have hit out against them, with Grant Shapps this morning saying on LBC: “It’s verging on disgraceful…I think that it’s time to get the moral compass out at the BBC”. James Cleverly confronted the BBC on their own Breakfast Show, “I just want to make sure that you recognise that in your reporting, they are not militants, they are terrorists.” Awkward.
Keir Starmer joined the campaign this morning, telling LBC, “I think the BBC needs to explain why it isn’t. I said ‘terrorism’ and ‘terrorist’, and to me that’s obviously what we are witnessing.” Yesterday Hamas beheaded babies in front of their own families. This isn’t difficult…
Hamas has slammed Priti Patel after this morning declaring she would proscribe the terrorist group next week. In this morning’s announcement she also warned that supporters of Hamas could face up to 10 years in jail. Guido pointed out Jeremy must be crestfallen…
In a statement published to the Hamas website the soon-to-be proscribed terrorist group expressed their “shock and dismay” over the decision and decided to “strongly condemn” the move:
“On this occasion, as we strongly condemn this decision, we call on all Palestinian factions and supporters of the Palestinian cause in Europe, in general, and Britain, in particular, to denounce the UK’s decision as a continuation of its aggression on the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights, which started more than one hundred years ago.”
“We believe that resisting the Israeli occupation with all means possible, including armed resistance, is a guaranteed right for peoples under occupation as per international law.”
Responding to the statement, a Home Office source tells Guido, “I think we will cope”.
