Green Party Candidate Airbnb “Super Host” Boasts of Travelling and 3 Private Properties

Guido uncovered Green Party candidate for Storrington Claudia Fisher’s dodgy past back in May, where she neglected to mention her multiple arrests as an Extinction Rebellion activist. Now elected the Green candidate, it appears the councillor is hiding more than just a criminal record…

Her Airbnb “superhost” profile shows she is quite the hypocrite. She brags about her love for travel and that her photo is from her time in India. Assuming she didn’t walk to India, she must have flown. Her profile also states she lives in Brighton, 45 minutes from Storrington – a long commute, presumably taken by car as it takes three trains to get to and from either area.  No doubt the Greens wouldn’t be proud of her carbon footprint…

Fisher boasts of her three “huge” private properties on Airbnb, altogether 15 different listings. Despite the Green war on cars she also vaunts the free parking at her properties. Defying the Greens’ crusade against private landlords and Airbnb…

LibDem and Green Councillors Toast Use of Crematorium for Trans Film

The “Alliance” of LibDems and Greens running Wealden District Council have shifted focus from trying to ban fire for not being carbon neutral. Now the councillors are toasting the use of a local crematorium for scenes in a short film. Their scruples about emitting carbon clearly turned to ash…

The 13-minute film, made by two trans activists, is about a woman who discovers her recently deceased father was trans. Filming at Wealden Crematorium was celebrated by the local LibDem cabinet member for “Public Health and Wellbeing” Kelvin Williams. He said “it is the first time that the Wealden Crematorium has been used as a filming location” and it’s understandable why thanks to its “stunning facilities“. Maybe he thinks it should be a venue for children’s birthday parties…

The production’s been shortlisted for Film4’s LGBTQ+ film awards. Catch it when it airs at 2 a.m. next week…

Greens & LibDems Want All Events to Be Net Zero

Wealden District Council, which has been led since May by a coalition of LibDems and Greens mostly concerned with declaring a “Climate Emergency“, is now launching a consultation on banning bonfires. The council declares that, seeing as the planet will soon burn up in hellfire, detailed licensing requirements need to be reviewed such that all public events can be forced to be “net zero in carbon emissions“. Wealden fans of the exploits of Guy Fawkes will be ashen-faced…

If licenses for public events had an actual net zero requirement that would put a stop to all public BBQs, the famous Hadlow Down and Hellingly steam rallies, and Sussex’s traditional bonfire nights. The climate-crazy councillors are also considering “offsetting by carbon capture” as a way to force events to reach requirements, which would presumably mean that you would have to pay for carbon credits in order to have a public BBQ. Talk about pissing on bonfires…

The Greens are led by eco-loon Rachel Millward, who founded a network for “filmmakers of marginalised genders” and believes that “the colonial exploitation of the global South is the cause of climate change”. She is also the Greens’ candidate for the new parliamentary constituency of Sussex Weald. She lives in a 6-bedroom mansion and went to the private King Henry 8th school. Humble means compared to most of our eco-overlords…

Anti-Israel Green Council Chairman Resigns

Martin Butcher, chairman of the Green Party in East Hertfordshire council, which governs along with the LibDems, has resigned today after tweeting inflammatory anti-Israel content. Butcher, who has also worked for crazed left-wing charity Oxfam for 13 years, tweeted directly after Saturday’s attack about the “Israeli murder of civilians” and criticised Volodymyr Zelensky for ignoring the “belligerent occupation of other people’s land“. He then made his Twitter account private. Local Tory MP Julie Marson wrote a letter to the leaders of the council to call for action to be taken against Butcher – she received no reply, but Butcher has nevertheless tendered his resignation. Out of the woodwork, into the fire…

Caroline Lucas Standing Down at Next Election

The Green Party’s only MP, Caroline Lucas, is standing down at the next election to focus on the “existential challenges” of “the nature and climate emergencies“. Lucas has been in Parliament for 13 years and is the first person to sit in the Commons as a Green MP. Now she’s leaving, apparently to help save the planet…

She wrote in an open letter this morning:

“I have always prided myself on being, first and foremost, a good constituency MP. I’ve done everything possible to help wherever I can and always worked to ensure that people feel heard, that their concerns matter, and that they are not alone. But the intensity of these constituency commitments, together with the particular responsibilities of being my party’s sole MP, mean that, ironically, I’ve not been able to focus as much as I would like on the existential challenges that drive me – the nature and climate emergencies […]

“The truth is, as these threats to our precious planet become ever more urgent, I have struggled to spend the time I want on these accelerating crises. I have therefore decided not to stand again as your MP at the next election.”

According to UK Polling Report, she was set to hold her Brighton seat at the next election:

Who will constantly oppose nuclear power in the name of the environment now?

Green Councillors Oppose Green EV Charging Points

A Green Party councillor in Norwich has decided it’s time to take the knee again. Not over George Floyd, Black Lives Matter, or racial injustice – this time it’s over electric vehicle (EV) charging points. According to councillor Liam Calvert and his fellow local Greens, the planned installation of 46 charging points across Norwich is problematic because they might make life “more difficult for pedestrians“. He proved this by drawing a scaled virtual ‘impression’ of an EV point on the pavement near his house…

Calvert said:

“Electric cars are a step in the right direction for reducing climate change but we can’t accept that life should be made more difficult for pedestrians. Chargers must not be placed on pavements at the expense of wheelchair users or parents with buggies.

Calvert then used his artistic skills to mock-up even more supposedly damning evidence proving his point. Below is what Calvert imagines will happen to his beloved pavement should the County Council go ahead with their plans…

It’s been a while since Guido pushed a buggy, although he doesn’t remember it ever being about three metres wide. Chloe Smith MP has called Calvert’s attack a “strange agenda”, which is a polite way of describing the same NIMBYism that leads Greens to opposing other green policies like, say, nuclear power. Either way, it’s definitely politically charged…
