Thousands of people using Freeserve email addresses have been left unable to use their accounts because EE forgot to renew the fsnet.co.uk domain. Freeserve was a popular Internet Service Provider throughout the 1990s, it merged with into the Wanadoo in 2000, became part of Orange in 2006 and is now part of EE following the merger of Orange and T-Mobile.

It appears someone at EE forgot to renew the fsnet.co.uk domain before it expired today, leaving users with @fsnet.co.uk email addresses high and dry.
