Jolyon Maugham responded to a question about how he deals with backlash on the Right to Equality podcast:
“There’s rarely a day when I wakeup without seeing some grim piece about me in Guido Fawkes, or Spiked, or the Critic, or anyone of that stable of right-wing ugliness. I think I’ve come to understand that those who have power will not willingly relinquish it… it’s the way to check whether you really are as impactful as you intend to be. If they all ignored me… it would be because I ceased to be relevant. So really I see those attacks as being a mark of impact, a mark of success.”
