Labour Candidate’s Shameful Slur on Tunisia Victims

At midday, a minute’s silence will be held across the country in memory of the 30 Brits murdered in Tunisia.

Just hours before, this is what Labour’s defeated parliamentary candidate in Aylesbury, William Cass, thought appropriate to put on his Facebook page:

“Civillians should not be repatriated as if they were fallen ‘soldiers’. They weren’t. They died on holiday not in service. Sad as it is, all this militarization makes it look as if the country is at war. It will legitimise a response (like bombing Syria). They will be used to justify an imperialist response.”

How anyone in their right mind can think repatriating the victims of a terrorist attack could be seen as “militarization” only he knows.
