In an official email sent out to Davos attendees Chandra signed himself off as the ‘Prime Minister’s Chief Businss Adviser.’ Worryingly this is a standard email signature – implying that Chandra has been advertising his businss credentials for some time in all official communications…

Chandra was in the running to be the next ambassador in Washington but ultimately lost out to career diplomat Christian Turner. No10 briefed that Varun would get an ‘expanded role’ as recompense. Would be nice if he could learn to spell his job title first…
