“My view is this. If you’re Scottish, you don’t need an English person telling you what to do. You know what you’re gonna be doing. If you’re in Brighton, I think it would be a travesty if we lost the voice of Caroline Lucas in Westminster. But anywhere else, you’ve gotta vote Labour… on May 7th, vote Labour.”
Leaving Labour types struggling to work out whether an endorsement of a Labour-SNP-Green government is a good or bad thing.

Miliband responds to interview critics: “What a load of old pony, guvnor!”
UPDATE: “National ‘elf Service”
These days he has him round for tea, but Russell Brand was scathing about Ed Miliband when speaking to Mehdi Hasan just eighteen months ago:
MH: “Ed Miliband?”
RB: “Pfft. We could do better. We deserve better.”
And again in this Trews episode:
“Miliband’s in trouble. Because he doesn’t have the skillset, I think, required in contemporary politics.”
He also once called Ed Balls a “clicky wristed snidey c**t”. Even a stopped clock etc…
“Russell Brand is a joke. Ed Miliband, to hang out with Russell Brand. He’s a joke.”
At last a politician tough enough to stand up to Russell Brand…
Perhaps Ed wants advice on how to handle #MiliFandom, ideological guidance, or more likely he just wants to reach out to Russell Brand’s confused followers. Last night this picture of him leaving Brand’s lair emerged on Twitter. Expect to see Ed Miliband interviewed by Russell Brand on his YouTube channel soon…
