Top UKIP Spokesman Unsacked

Last week UKIP’s local government spokesman Peter Reeve, who at the time was viewed as a Vote Leave supporter, was sacked by Nigel Farage. Guido understands that at a meeting of the party’s NEC yesterday, a motion was unanimously passed demanding Farage reinstate Reeve to his role. The latest challenge to Farage’s authority from the increasingly turbulent NEC.

This morning, Guido hears Farage spoke with Reeve and agreed to reinstate him to his old post. Another UKIP unsacking. Interestingly for designation Kremlinologists, Reeve insists to Guido that he was a never officially a Vote Leave man, and that he is now agreeing to endorse Farage’s preferred Grassroots Out: “If Nigel believes GO is the best package then I’m happy to get behind them”. Reeve won’t be putting his name down for Vote Leave. So sacked ‘Kippers can have their jobs back so long as they endorse GO…
