Matthew Richardson Offers Resignation

Guido understands that Matthew Richardson, the UKIP party secretary criticised by Patrick O’Flynn, has offered his resignation.

Friends of Richardson point out that his contract was up in the end of June anyway.

He’s out.

New Yorkers Can Serve Divorce Papers on Facebook

In what’s being described as a landmark ruling, a New York Judge has given the go ahead to the filing of divorce papers over Facebook. The decision was made in order to allow a Brooklyn nurse to serve papers against her errant husband Mr Blood-Dzraku, who only contacts her via phone or the social media service. The divorce paper must be sent by private message and not just posted on her husbands Facebook wall…

This isn’t the first time that a court has granted permission to serve legal paper over a social network. Back in 2009 the High Court approved the delivering of an injunction via Twitter Direct Message in order to stop a Twitter troll from impersonating top lawyer Donal Blaney. The injunction was obtained by UKIP’s Party Secretary Matthew Richardson…
