It looks like crooked former Tower Hamlets mayor Lutfur Rahman is going to be banned from practising as a solicitor. He faces being struck off by the Solicitors Regulation Authority after their investigation found he failed to “uphold the rule of law”, and that he did not “act with integrity” or “behave in a way that maintains the trust the public places in him and the provision of legal services.” The decision will be made in August, though with the High Court having found him guilty of bribery and corruption it looks a formality. What a shame.
