The former Labour MP for Lincoln shared some sage advice for her successor last night, in two now-deleted tweets. Karen Lee, who served as the city’s MP until 2019, suggested organising a ‘two-hour public engagement event’ in ‘a public venue with a large capacity’, for local people to gather together in one room and hear from local authorities. Perhaps she’d like to invite the elderly and people with pre-existing conditions as well?
There’s a reason she’s a former MP…
Labour’s incumbent candidate in the university city of Lincoln has been accused of insulting students in the city by three former Lincoln Student Union presidents. Impressive of a Labour candidate to alienate their core demographic…
Labour’s Karen Lee publicly denied disparaging students in a hustings last week but the students of the time, all former SU presidents are adamant she did.
Only thing that matters is who the voters believe…
Over 60 Labour MPs and 30 peers including deputy leader Tom Watson have issued a statement calling for Jeremy Corbyn to remove the whip from Chris Williamson “immediately”. Despite a highly irregular Labour NEC panel overturning his suspension as a member of the Labour Party, it is still up to Corbyn whether he retains the Labour whip in Parliament. Will Corbyn act? Will the MPs act if he doesn’t?
At least they’re taking it more seriously than Lincoln MP Karen Lee who wrote that she was “absolutely chuffed to bits” with the news Williamson had been reinstated in a now deleted Facebook post. You couldn’t make it up:
UPDATE: Now over 70 Labour Party staffers have written to General Secretary Jennie Formby to protest Williamson’s reinstatement. They have called for an immediate review and the implementation of a “truly independent complaints process”.

There were dramatic scenes in parliament last night at the Venezuela APPG as a group of Corbynista MPs, including Chris Williamson and shadow minister Karen Lee, attempted to stage a takeover of the committee. Amid confusion about when and where the meeting was taking place, the Corbynistas attempted to eject the public from the AGM and force an early vote on the committee while they were in the majority. A classic Chavista-style manoeuvre…
However, the plan was foiled when quick-thinking MPs including Andrew Lewer activated their WhatsApp networks and rallied moderate colleagues, who promptly turned up in large numbers to outnumber the Corbynistas. After APPG Chair and Labour moderate Graham Jones refused to clear the room as the Corbynistas were demanding, Williamson realising he was in the minority got up and stormed out with his comrades. The Venezuela APPG – which is leading the way in exposing the plight of Venezuelan victims of the regime – was within a whisker of becoming a cheerleader for the murderous Maduro regime. As one counter-revolutionary Tory MP quipped afterwards, “Thank God for WhatsApp”…

Labour conference heard a message of solidarity from the Venezuelan ambassador last night before top Corbynista Chris Williamson went full shouty crackers. Williamson awkwardly singled out Nick Cohen and Michael Crick, calling out their names at least fifteen times and wildly demanding to know why they weren’t “celebrating” Venezuela. As wide-eyed Williamson went Caracas, Cohen asked if the journalists under attack could ask questions. John McDonnell’s PPS Karen Lee shouted “No”. Cohen asked again: “We can’t ask questions?”, to which Lee replied: “Absolutely not”. All a bit odd and embarrassing for Williamson really, journalists were left wondering if he’s all there…
Should come as no surprise that John McDonnell’s PPS, the new Labour MP Karen Lee, is a fan of a mass-murdering dictator who put homosexuals in concentration camps. Meanwhile, after Corbynistas spent the last two weeks trying in vain to distance Jez from the thugs in Venezuela, the geniuses at the Morning Star write “Corbyn is our Chavez”.
Morning Star gets it right shock…
